Reality is, Teddy Bridgewater attacked the field deep more than Bryce Young.

We never had a cast of elite coaches. We did vs the Rhule era….not vs the rest of the actual league. That continues to be a repeated misconception. Frank, Dom and Caldwell aren’t elite in the year 2023. We hired 2 promising coordinators. The math ain’t mathing to call them an elite coaching in the 2023 NFL. And generally every team has McCown, Duce, etc types.

But are there any current cutting edge offenses overseen by some offensive dinosaur like Frank though? everything is a bad marriage here. Which points to the lack of vision and direction at the top. Just a bunch of random parts smashed together. why do we suck? Because no one knows what we want to be and that’s by design. You don’t pair Bryce with Frank, you don’t have archaic people like Jim and Dom on top of young coordinators.

I was one of the biggest Rhule critics around. I no longer care to hear about Rhule……it’s now pointless deflection from giving Tepper and Fitt what they deserve. They both suck every bit as bad at their jobs as Rhule did as a HC

Young was the most pro ready brain. But Young doesn’t have a pro QB body to work with. And we are seeing the results of that. He is small. It impacts his pocket play/sight. Wind blows him down. His lack of arm takes throws off the table. You can work on a brain to grow it. Not much anyone can do with the fact Bryce isn’t built to play at this level. He might turn into a decent QB but he will always have things that work against him. And generally you don’t mortgage your franchise for a dude that will always have stuff working against him

I think both those teams would be favored to beat us. They have competent rush games and we suck against the run. We all have weak pass attacks. Anything can happen. But outside of that, they should beat us. There is no matchup argument at this point that says we really should beat anyone right now
