  2. game going to be over at the half.
  3. I think that's pretty good. Got no issue w/ Jaguar over Panther. Think Jaguars got the strongest bite of all the cats and the Panther doesn't got the weight of the others. I think the Dolphin is the one I'd dig in on as being misplaced. I'd put it over at least the bottom 2 birds
  4. yep, Saints have consistently been a team that has shown the cap is smoke and mirrors for some. and most importantly, they have put together teams that have found ways to win and compete with meh QB.....while the Panthers boldly claimed the title of most harmless team in all of sports.
  5. because it's not just a cap convo. A reasonable person could argue..... Last 5 seasons (Tepper era) - Panthers acquired the title of worst team in ALL of pro sports. Last 5 seasons - Saints have 4 winning seasons and a couple division titles. They found ways to win w/ a broken down noodle arm Brees, the comedy trainwreck of Jameis Winston and the mehness of Carr. They have people in charge that have won Super Bowls. Being able to actually win and not be the literal worst in all of professsional sports....carries some legit weight in the convo. So in terms of top down? Saints got a HUGE edge over us with their front office. Cap situation sucks for both teams. Saints have proven in the past to work magic on it. and they have a better roster today than we do. And they got some young talent. No way would I say we are better off than the Saints.
  6. As a rookie CMC had 1058 rush AND receiving yards. That's not a struggling a rookie. What was evident, is he needed to gain muscle to be able to run between the tackles as a rookie. Which I commented on in that post. He made that correction and 2 years later was a 2k RB with 1000k rushing and 1000k receiving and the hands down best RB in the game. He did get a lot better, quickly. and rookie CMC still managed a better ypc than Jonathan Stewart that year. We were run heavy. Running into teams playing the run. and Alvin Kamara probably was a better value pick. He was a half step behind CMC for a 3rd round value. That's more acknowledging what what a steal Kamara was.
  7. New England is in a fantastic cap situation. Just like the Raiders. That's why it's just Clev for me.
  8. I could entertain an argument for Clev and the Raiders. But in the end, Tepper's overall resume as an owner and being the worst in all of pro sports is always going to tilt the scale in the end. Actually, Clev is pretty close.
  9. I think if this convo is held anywhere else in the world by reasonable football fans.....Carolina is generally going to rank at 32 and the worst.
  10. CMC had 1000+ yards as a rookie. I wouldn't say he struggled. He just quickly become significantly better in the following years. Specifically between the tackles when he added muscle.
  11. rizz=charisma. generally used when talking about dealing w/ the opposite sex.
  12. McD is basically Ron Rivera, but less liked in the locker room. McD just has a better a GM to go with his Cam.
  13. I think Dan is a leftover of an old problem. I think Canales in theory could be good if he just embraced being a rah rah HC. I don’t like a Canales run O. I don’t think he is a good playcaller and manager of an O.
  14. Rich people with influence can be very problematic people. It’s also reason #244 why you really don’t want to mess with the Sheduer gamble. Because you got to deal with his family/father.
  15. Heck, if the Panthers were smart….they would just steal Cam essentially and morph him into their social media/marketing. Cam actually had a good idea. What Panther fan wouldn’t like the Luke and Cam pod episode. Or Gregg. Current players. Some silly stuff too.
  16. I mean, now that you mention it….it is sort of is weird you invite Luke, TD, 89, Stew, etc to Germany…..and not Cam. and Cam probably would have been the biggest salesman of the bunch
  17. I think Cam Newton received unique bias from the moment he declared for the NFL draft. He just happened to play for us.
  18. if we are being honest, Bryce Young has never reached rookie Kyle Allen level yet.
  19. Bryce said what he said. PR folks need to do a lot better then. It was a lot of detail about intentionally having nothing to do with football for the offseason. Not a week or two off. That falls on them if it wasn't true.
  20. Bryce wasn't misinterpreted. You could argue he/they didn't paint an accurate picture.
  21. I think Deion gets a new "calling" after this year. His entire coaching career has been coaching his sons. Reality TV with his sons. You remove them from the equation, I just don't see him staying in coaching. I think he leans back into media/online stuff (which again, will have the family in mind).
  22. I don't think Canales has the real say. I think Bryce's benching after week 2 was Tepper (100%). The only way to explain such a hard 180 after the Monday meeting from Sunday. I think what to do going forward is Tepper......and that's why Canales forever struggles with basic questions.
  23. for the most part, QB play in the NFL is a between the ears thing. Pending you meet a certain level of physical check marks.
  24. football is a team sport. winning comes down to the team. evaluating an O or D? You can do that in losing efforts. I'd rather have an O that can do what Atl can do vs what the Panthers can do. The Steelers ran the ball all over the Giants the week right before we did. Which made it easy for Wilson to attack them downfield. I mean, if there ever was a game to work on improving and growing Bryce.....games like the Giants game setup for it. That's a QB dream setup. A D that can't handle a run. Makes opening up the O easy. But we are just focused on trying to win in spite of him.
  25. robbed. Refs seemed to be on a mission during the course of all 3 games.
