If we lose to the Giants and Falcons it is over. Regardless of records, the Vikings were the second best team we have played this year.

I think Hubbard’s speed is fine. I think his lower body needs more muscle. I remember CMC struggling with first contact as a rookie. He would go down pretty easily too in the backfield. Came back year 2 bigger and could shake that first contact. That’s seems to be Hubbard’s biggest weakness a runner right now. He can’t get away from that first contact yet…and the OL just isn’t good enough to stop that from being a regular occurrence at or behind the line.

Sam’s best play on Sunday was that long run in the 4th. Given the OL inefficiencies. I think we should run Sam more. Probably should work Shi and DJ in a little with some end arounds, pop passes, etc. but I don’t like Sam’s natural tendency of holding the ball while he runs. He one hands it and leaves it hanging out there too much . Needs to tuck it in sooner for my liking.

and I’ll defend DJ Moore pretty quick. He is now my favorite player on O. It is what it is. But yeah, it’s no secret I had issues coming in this season about Rhule, Sam being THE plan and paying Robby. And that all factors in how I watch a game. So I don’t pretend then I am unbiased when they come up…especially when the chips are down.

I assure you I am not blind. but I have never claimed to be unbiased. Sam and Robby catch heat from me pretty easy. As does Rhule. I am self aware of that.

All of them? Nope. Do I think the balls he threw were a contributing factor on some. Yes. Probably 3 of them. And I often applied a similar concept when it came to Cam. Who is tied for my favorite Panther of all time.

Splitting hairs. But I have Ron on top just because I think he was the best human of the lot. It’s probably a tie in reality of Fox and Rivera. Then Capers. Rhule and Seifert presently battling over pecking order. Not fair to really even mention Rhule though

You got an issue with how DJ Moore is playing on the year? I don’t. And he isn’t going to catch every ball all season. That’s life. DJ isn’t letting Sam down. fire away at Robby. The two aren’t the same and I am not going to treat them as the same. Robby is a liability at this point and should have his reps reduced until he can prove he deserves them again.

opening drive? I’d rather him not throw his stud WR into a massive hit and look elsewhere. Again, it’s not a one man route. That’s why there are 4 quarters to a game. QBs have to manage risks. and I am a fan of DJ Moore. I want him on the field. So yeah, I want the QB taking care of him and mitigating the damage/risks he gets thrown into.

Seen 89 get his arm broken thrown into a defender like that too. But at least that was late in the game for a TD. did you see the clip of Brady talking about QBs throwing guys into hits? I mean, you think the GOAT is just soft? His entire argument is he wants people to be allowed to hit again but too many QBs put WRs at risk and throw them into hits. Tom Brady literally blames bad QB play for why the league has gotten soft on hits and flags everything. League is forced to protect guys because of bad QB play. I think the GOAT has a point. His argument is the the league should just let teams who throw there guys into big hits deal with the consequences.

so what is a 50/50 ball? Catchable or uncatchable? my understanding was it is deemed a catchable ball. Who wins wouldn’t determine if the ball is catchable would it? I mean the WRs didn’t have good day. No doubt. They didn’t do him any favors. They need to make some of those. I just don’t think Sam had a very good day either despite that. and specifically Robby. I can cut DJ a little slack given how well he has played on the year and the load he is carrying in the pass game.

It’s not a one man route. and yeah, good QBs often play for another down or even series vs risking the safety of their guys early in a game or forcing a throw that isn’t there.

Tom Brady has thoughts about the ball DJ threw to DJ to open up the game. And it’s why we now have a flag happy NFL that doesn’t allow hitting anymore. Because of throws like that. and that is a hospital ball. They aren’t exclusively over the middle with hands extended up. It’s simply throwing a guy into being murdered by a defender and won’t be able to defend himself. Which can be a slant. and yeah, you don’t throw your stud WR into being murdered in the first quarter.

My fear was always Sam being NY Sam. A weak QB class that simply isn’t going to give an option to gamble on a QB despite wanting to. and us repeating the same experiment for a 3rd year with a Daniel Jones or someone. and there being no excitement in Pantherland.

We aren’t going to be a run heavy O in reality. Rhule just doesn’t want Sam tossing it 40 times vs 15 Chubba runs. They managed the game Sunday poorly. I suspect the goal is just to look more like other games in reality. Even split goal.

We got to 3-3 last year too. And CMC played more this year.

tanking is done by a front office in the offseason. players don't tank. They want jobs. Their film matters even on a losing team.

Well, I mean, I no longer want Watson but.... Watson is magical even behind a bad OL. Not consistent but he is still special behind at weak OL. We have already seen that in college and the pros. Those Bama/Clemson games weren't even close in terms of those OLs/DLs matching up. Bama on a different planet. That was all QB play. And his line when he got to Houston was terrible. You can put a special QB behind a weak OL. See Cam also. You can put a weak QB behind a good OL. You can't pair a bad OL and a weak QB. That's been the Rhule way for 2 straight years.

yeah, it boggles my mind that people think an OC is suppose to be able to successfully scheme around a horrible OL and weak QB paired together with any type of consistency. Basic plays are not even available. 4th and 1 and Joe Brady is forced to be creative. He can't just call a run. The OL is too weak. NFL is a talent driven league. You give a coordinator slop on the line he is going to struggle. You then double down and put slop behind the line? They are doomed. We got Sean McDermott because the Eagles scapegoated him. The Eagles got rid of their defensive talent. So they sucked. McDermott took the blame. He wasn't a bad DC. Football gods demand a sacrifice. He wasn't bad but you can't scheme around not having basic talent. And when you gave him talent on the line? Well, we saw the result of that. It's how you go from horrible to awesome. I still don't see how you can give Joe Brady this OL and then think it is a play calling problem. He is forced into creative smoke and mirrors at all times. You are going to look bad when your talent forces creativity to get a yard. and Brady might be horrible. He might be great. Odds are he likely gets scrapegoated before we every find out the truth on that though.

yeah, but remember this preseason when we attempted to see if our starters could line up and run when the other team knew it was coming? They got destroyed. we don't have the bodies to run into a defense that knows it is coming. Maybe the best RB in football can pull some magic but outside of that it seems like a horrible idea. our rushing TDs in the redzone are a byproduct this year of Joe Brady already scheming around the fact that we can't lineup and run at teams when they know it is coming. It why he started running Sam so heavy. Because we can't line up and just run it at teams.

I personally think a healthy Giants team is better than the Philly team we lost to.
