I think penciling in Stewart as the lead runner is an extremely safe bet. Sure there will still be some form of a committee used though and a RB added. But yes, penciling Stewart in as the lead RB basically stating the painfully obvious.
-
One fact that gets overlooked is older players.....that are still here can't be viewed as constants. They get worse. For example, Fozzy is better than Barner. Rest of our RB corp is two years older. They are old enough that when comparing themselves vs younger versions results in a decline. Current Luke is better than old Luke. Bc he is still on the incline. Harper as much as a hated Godfrey IMO can't be viewed as better. Not sure Harper can even earn a roster spot this next season

1. How are we much better on D? Hardy gone. Seconfary is still meh. On O we had Gross on the OL and the rest is a push. Would argue at this point we are worse at RB bc we are getting very old. We have potential on O and D that you likely couldn't be looking forward to but better IMO is counting that potential as more certain than it is
-
No. We can talk potential but big picture I don't think we can factually say it is better. Can't really say WR, RB, S, T, DE, etc are stronger now. We have better potential now at some spots but can't really ink us in as better. No. Ron is what he is. He still has all his same positive and negatives I think so....Dave appears to have things going the right direction. This offseason will tell us a lot more about him since he actually has some room and ability to make moves both acquiring and dealing with present guys

2005 Davis was basically Mike Tolbert but minus the 3rd down scat back looks. Davis had 12 TDs in 2005 and basically was short yardage runner.
-
Dwayne "Just give him a chance" Jarrett needs up in this....I'd put him in over Colbert
-
what about Carr? He might give Clausen more competition than Weinke
-
I don't think it is a publicity stunt.....I think there is very little to talk about and this is one of the few currently relevant subjects. And I do think big picture.....this doesn't really mean much. Which Voth seems to imply in the article where he states Hardy is still likely gone nc of all the previously mentioned points. So my point is people are putting too much stock in something Voth isn't actually putting much faith in. Yes he reported it.....yet he didn't report that it drastically changes anything
-
It is all situational. Take 34 for example. Some think I hate him. I don't. I would love him as a vet min cheap committee guy. But that isn't the situation....I want nothing to do with him in the current situation. Hardy is a beast. I'm certain he will be a beast next year. I don't believe it will be here and I don't think that is the wrong move either.... Would out front 4 be better with or without him? With. But all things factored in which is a lot in reality he IMO most likely will be an easy decision when it comes down to it

I think Voth is awesome. I pretty much only come here and there for Panther stuff at this stage. Observer, ESPN, etc is just bleh for a Panther fan. Yall should just merge and take over the world
-
That pause did get me. Big time. So did that Bahston accent. I am a Newton fanboy and he irritated me. But the chubby little dude is pretty awesome.
-
I guess my point that is overlooked is.... Voth's article doesn't really contradict his prior opinions. He again states Hardy is likely gone and the owner and FO don't trust him.....in the article people are claiming is him changing his stance. He just is explaining the longshot odds bc he finally had something come up to help support the tiny percentage shot of him being a Panther.....which he stated again he doesn't believe will happen.
-
and all signs point to Dave being the bad ass I didn't believe could be true..... Rum 1 CRA a happy 0 And the good thing is since the topic is Carolina....if your opinion is wrong there is often good things as a result that made you wrong.
-
My stances are often unpopular.... - signing 2 RBs to fratured deals is a ridiculous idea - Drafting Cam #1 is a must - Beason is done and we should draft Luke - stated people needed to brace for 89 leaving bc they wouldn't put up with his crap as his aged - James Anderson was a JAG - Clausen would be an epic fail - a near 30 Williams was average and not worth his money nor fit the post Fox/Cam era well Those opinions earned my "hate club". I was wrong as heck about Dwayne Jarrett and Gettlemen. Ron is really the last topic I dug my heels into.....and I guess that is still up in the air. So wrong 90% of the time on the few I dig my heels into? Not really. Unpopular? Yes, often they are. But the point of the board is to share opinions in a repsectful manner. And no ones opinion bothers me.

No. In the article Voth addresses his beliefs. That Hardy most likely won't be here That Richardson and the FO don't trust him He again addresses the financial situation AND states that despite JR and the FO office not trusting him or wanting him JR won't slam doors in someone's face that wanted to plea for Hardy bc he isn't that type owner.....and that is the glimmer of hope Hardy fans have. All that is in his article. So yeah, per Voth's article he believes Hardy is done. Nothing in life is 100%. So his job was then to find the super small percentage and explain it
-
Maybe or maybe some people don't deal well with people who have different opinions.... you are acting as if Voth just wrote some earth shattering news that now makes the general assumption Hardy is done now isn't likely......but Voth didn't. All Voth did was throw a little poo out to get the Hardy crowd stirring again. I'll repeat my point. Greg Hardy is done in Carolina. Logically following the team and all information provided suggests that. Bill Voth believes Hardy is gone too..and none of that is bullpoo. And no, my opinion won't change unless someone provided an actual REALISTIC argument that makes sense that Hardy had a shot of being here. Your point? I'm not even sure....you seem to be more about broad poster knocking. If not post something or someone credible that believes/shows Hardy will be a Panther
-
You asked why Bell wasn't on the exempt list... I answered it simply. That isn't blowing anything up. Inflicting bodily harm on a female is viewed as a more severe crime than putting a substance into your own body. That isn't even getting into the eyes of the court. Not all misdemeanors or felonies are the same either
-
Bc smoking weed and beating women aren't viewed as comparable crimes
-
I don't think he is a fluff writer. I think it is the offseason and he is merely doing what he has to do....get people to stay interested. Like his article on what it takes for Hardy to be here earlier. It was basically a this is why he won't be here article in disguise. And I haven't formed any opinions based on his stuff. I formed them on my on. Bc Hardy being here doesn't make much sense in my mind for a list of reasons.
-
And exactly what bullshit are you referring to? All I am doing is not buying nothing as something? You know...pretty much not buying into the bullshit. For example, you claim the majority of the team is lobbying for him to come back. Voth's piece doesn't claim that. It doesn't even name one person. It suggest at least one team leader may have said something....but even that could be hearsay Voth is running with for what if fun piece. Hardy is done. That ain't bullshit
-
LOL...I'm not the one jumping on buying "unnamed" Panthers doing X and running with it. Claiming I know who they are and how much it means... Voth's article is just an offseason click piece to get the Hardy believers talking. Voth knows Hardy is done here but that is a short article that only needs to be written once.
-
If I was a betting person I would say Voth is referencing at least Charles Johnson. I think the farther away from his position you go the less vocal people would be. For example I would doubt Olsen would say anything. That is my guess.

We let one walk before who was squeaky clean before.... We definately can do it with one we can't trust given that fact.
-
Name the guys who went to JR to lobby then.... Ron Rivera champions every player. He publically backs everyone.

I'm not a lawyer but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express once back in 2010. I definately don't see a legit case. To date, NFL sat back and let the legal process play out and paid Hardy his millions. NFL has done nothing to Hardy. Zilch. Only person Hardy would have a case against is the chick.....and he just paid her off. So that is out the window
