  1. I would wager the w/l record is a lot better for the 100m QBs though than those RBs listed
  2. Paul Bettany Reacts to WandaVision Fan Theories | Explain This | Esquire - YouTube Thought this was interesting. Vision actor address all the cameos and appearances and how they tried to keep so many a secret (despite some leaking). So putting leaks aside. He says one hasn't be revealed yet/leaked/guessed and is the one he was most excited about working with.
  3. FYI - Marvel bringing back the post credit stuff this week
  4. well, I think our defense is just going to get better. also, unless we sit CMC all year....despite check down Teddy.....I think we win more games. We were in too many this past year. Adding CMC and some of those are going to fall the other way IMO. This is the year for Rhule to get his QB IMO one, way or another.
  5. I'd imagine a lot of teams would be interested in taking a reasonable gamble on KK. I mean you got to take into account has hasn't been able to play the last 2 seasons. If he can stay on the field. He is good.
  6. I actually thought Hodor and that storyline was great. GOT was still peak GOT then.
  7. I only pay attention to the guaranteed money with contracts like that. It was 110 when he signed the deal. And he already played a year of the deal. I know owners don't want to see this stuff come to the NFL. But it is, in some fashion. Again, times change. Players have power now and are aware of it. They will wield it more and more. NFL might not become the NBA but it want avoid a version coming to the NFL.
  8. mama said happiness is from rays of sunshine that come down when you feelin blue. Hats don't cause baldness. you disrespecting hats and cargo shorts? on the huddle?
  9. Mama says that alligators are ornery cause they got all them teeth but no toothbrush.
  10. there isn't actually 146 mill left hanging out there. Anything outside the guaranteed is window dressing IMO. 110 guaranteed and he already played a year of it. There is a lot of money. And how much money he currently has matters....as does his future earning potential/and the leverage he has on Hou. Why would superstars start flexing their power? Because they have it. Because they can. We have seen that play out in other sports in recent years. Times change. Players are changing.
  11. if you ain't down with cargo shorts and ball caps, then I ain't down with you.
  12. totally get it. only "leak" I'll share is many that deep dive the stuff are thinking the final two episodes will have longer run times than traditional episodes. only thing I hate is how short each episode is.
  13. yeah, I think it is largely an ego thing. I think he realizes Easterby is problematic. You think David Tepper gonna listen to a player going public about how he is running a franchise into the ground? Player could be 100% right. Don't think an owner wants to take that type L publicly. The, I don't know how to run my business L but the player does.
  14. Ok. Exactly how much money does he have right now? He has a poo ton right now. What number are you cool with using so we can move past that. Again, Cam was pulling in approximately 10 mill a year just on endorsements when deemed good. And Watson has already earned a poo ton of NFL money they can't come get. rip up was poor word usage. I just see this move an the inevitable reaching the NFL. Teams have no issue moving on from players. Yeah, I know you signed a 5 year deal but we are cool taking the hit and moving on after 2. Yeah, contracts spell out the ramifications when people part on both ends. Team doesn't give a fug about loyalty, honoring a contract, etc. Superstars are going to start flexing on owners in the NFL. Maybe Watson folds and it will be someone else. But it will be the elite QB who brings that to the NFL. They wield sigfnicant power and are realizing it. They are realizing what comparable are doing in other leagues. maybe when he signed the deal he didn't realize Houston would continue going to down a culture dumpster fire. Would the team stick with Watson if he turned into a dumpster fire? Nah.
  15. simply removing the toxic clowns. Like Easterby. And then simply start being a man of your word. I actually don't think it would be hard for Houston to stop this....but Watson wins in almost every scenario. Think that is the problem for Houston.
  16. well, if 50 mill isn't fug you money and only 50 billion is.....we will have to agree to disagree on where that bar gets set. Bottom line is Watson has such extreme financially security that can literally do anything he wants at this moment. He has the security to flex on Hou in this moment. And other sports have helped guide him to this moment. He isn't the normal NFL player. He has unique power. He knows it. The owners know it. He isn't Bell. He isn't a prior holdout threat. All the owners know this too. NFL teams can rip up a contract and part with a player any time they want. And they do. The "but you signed a contract so honor it" mantra has always been a bullshit narrative only players are expected to follow that the owners never have had any respect for. Again, it was only a matter of time before this moment came to the NFL.
  17. the Patriot/Brady example. They had Tom Brady. Then they had an offense that could hang with anyone. Last 15 years they drafted a Guard in the first round. That's all they did of note. QB matters so sigfnicant more than anything else. A long term top 5 QB is worth more than 3 first rounders in reality.
  18. over the last 20 years, the only noteworthy offensive player the Patriots drafted in the first round was one OG. That's it. Logan Mankins. Pretty remarkable.
  19. well, I think you are missing the point. There are different degrees of fug you money. But Watson already has real fug you money from football and endorsements. He isn't a random average player the league can push around. I never said I think Watson walks away from football and retires. I think Watson is willing to be that dude who brings this to the NFL and will sit a season to flex. Just as owners are looking at Hou ownership, players are looking at Watson. I do not think he plays football for Houston this season (pending the FO isn't cleaned up). I'd put that at over 50% and therefore the most likely aspect. How him not playing for Hou this season under current leadership is constructed plays out? Well, that could go lots of ways. Sits. Traded. Either could happen.
  20. I think Watson actually could sit. But it would not go beyond one year. Watson a different breed. Think Hou would eventually alter the FO after the franchise implodes over some pretty pointless people.
  21. maybe they could get the majority of it if he retired and doesn't play again. They ain't getting it because he sits this season. And this is going to be a short term war IMO.
  22. I think they are just hoping they can get him to retire.
  23. his new deal only had 110 guaranteed I think and already has a chunk. That much money isn't actually out there I don't think. I would need to look it all up. Andrew Luck walked away from like 60 mill in cash sitting out there.
  24. Nike, Beats, Verizon, Miller, DraftKings, Samsung, and on and on. Cam Newton was pulling like 10 million a year in endorsements when he was hot.
  25. well, by NFL standards, Watson is rich by NFL QB standards Watson is rich he isn't long term NFL QB rich yet he isn't superstar QB rich yet and yeah, the Houston FO definitely cares about the shitshow they have found themselves in and about getting out of it the best way possible. Whick IMO isn't clear. and I do agree Watson would be a landmark case. It would be the NBA arriving. But as I said, it is only a matter of time. It is coming. If it ain't Watson it will be someone soon enough. And I agree most ownership hopes Hou sits Watson and beats him. Well, except for the team that thinks they can land him and win.
