Ok.....and Cam is playing much better football now and won't be on the road. And your D should get better on a stretch against the 49er, Cowboy, 49er, Viking, Raven, Brown, Ram offenses.... I mean you literally improved when you played the worst of the worst. Then you split with the Cards and beat Pitt (giving up 30 in 2 of the 3) So you played 2 teams and basically ever other team was a collection of the worst offenses the NFL has to offer. Any teams D should see a nice surge down that stretch

Pretty sure Dan Quinn has a great record vs Cam. Worth noting Dan Quinn gave Carolina their 1 loss this year. new guy? Pretty sure Cam ain't been stopped by the new DC in Seattle. Pretty sure new guy had a very hard time with Cam (what did Cam have, 4 80 yard TD drives in Seattle? And Cam has upped his play since then) but if you want to talk about Dan Quinn? I mean, we can but his Falcons are out of it

Um, is this thread a response to a Seahawk forum thread....where you guys are bashing Cam as inferior to Mr. Nanobubbles? As as for post about wins. Yes. The Seahawks team has more wins than Carolina. They were a better team. But I guess this is the part where you claim a team with a historical D and a team that passed less than any other....should give most of the credit to Wilson?
-
I didn't say it would be stopped. I said brought down to Earth some. I mean you can look at the last 2 and half years of games prior to week 9.....and it simply is irrelevant. Seattle is doing something new. New always takes an adjustment period. Doesn't mean you can solve it but you can play it better. That is just football. Really irrelevant to what it is but when a team makes a drastic change that works it takes awhile for others to adjust teams got better at stopping the read option once there was more tape on it. Doesn't mean you can stop it simply bc you are a little better at defending it.

There WRs are better than ours. Give defenses a RB/QB run threat of Cam and Stewart and that alone is going to open up plays for those caliber of WRs. Cam sets up a lot bc of how defenses are forced to play. GB actually has tons of issues presently. People just talk about the WRs. More than their talent is the issue in GB IMO. Heck if you watch Cobb on the year half he routes the OC had him running weren't even designed for him to make a play. Mike McCarthy shouldn't of turned over play call duty. Now he is late to the party trying to figure the pieces out....and confidence across the board looks shot

Wilson, historically, his play from the pocket has been questioned as a weak part of his game most of his great career. in fairness, he has displayed a new found skill for a recent 7 game or so stretch....so everyone isn't going to recognize it right away. I also think he will come down to Earth some soon....it was such a big change for him and your scheme. Now NFL teams will soon have more and more tape to gameplan for the changes which always brings crazy stuff down some. But he has been great of late in ways teams aren't use to seeing. Carolina for example can probably throw out the Seattle offensive film from the first matchup. Gameplanning for that would be pointless.

I agree. Carolina has the weakest WRs in the postseason and it isn't a debate

Russell Wilson is a damn good QB. He does certain things better than Cam. If you disregard their teams around them..... Cam simply can do more overall and presents more issues. All that is simply bc Cam has a Julius Peppers body to play QB with. Means he presents a mismatch no one has ever dealt with....and Cam makes the most of it bc he elects to be a pure football player and not a traditional QB. It likely will cost him one day bc he elects to be a power RB that legitimately does care about contact. Both are very different. Not sure why we can't let different be different. Cam deserves the MVP and Russell deserves recognition for taking a step forward and finally showing he can be elite and out of a Lynch oriented O where he makes plays off it
-
Cam could take the immediate sack. But keep in mind if he does that....all the times where he bails back and then makes a play only Cam can make (like the crazy NE run)....those won't exist anymore either. so if you want those crazy great plays you have to be willing to take some bad
-
Any Hawk fan claiming the Jimmy Graham injury hurt them should punch themselves in the face. really can argue Lynch as well...Seattle didn't look good until they changed their O focal point b/c of RB injury.
-
bottom line is Cam is having a better year and we still owe Seattle. Don't think this team doesn't remember who sent them home last season.
-
Cam's rushing first downs are by far this most unacknowledged and disregarded part of his game. Only 3 NFL RBs converted more first downs on the ground than Cam. Never mentioned by anyone. Ever. Local or national. Why Cam's game is never fully respected. People will go on and on about completion % where other QBs pad stats with dump offs. They totally ignore that Cam is literally is own built in elite RB (which is more than TDs and goal line dives)

Cam Newton also had 10 rushing TDs and is 4th in the NFL in first downs on the ground.....on top of his passing production. Which is HUGE. But when talking QB talk people try to dismiss it b/c it isn't a QB stat. Which has Cam reminds people, he is a football player first. That is why he is the MVP and not someone like Russell Wilson this season....and that trumps completion % edge. Simple and plain. Seahawk fans need go drink some of their QB's witchcraft water to make them feel better

um, he touched him. That makes it sexual ASSAULT

89 would swing on anyone...with or without a helmet, teammate or opponent. I do think you can draw some comparison's between the two. 89 struggled with controlling his anger and all reports or NY Giants have worried about the same issue. Just b/c every outburst wouldn't be an apples to apples moment doesn't mean they aren't similar guys. Point was 89 had legit anger issues and he never beat them. He got better at it but to this day it is an issue for the man. Beckham has issues. Point was merely we gotta be careful calling him the biggest POS ever...when our GOAT had a comparable problem. That is the NFL fault too....you wouldn't of wanted to make 89 the face of the NFL in 2003. He had too many issues. NFL shouldn't of put this kid as the face of the NFL recently. He ain't that kind of dude (not this young and w/ his issues)
-
well, Steve Smith is viewed as the GOAT around here. Beckham IMO has a lot of Steve Smith in him. 89 learned to deal with his anger issues but even today 89 struggles w/ it. He never learned to make it a nonissue.

Giants Rookie Left Tackle Will Start Despite Ankle Injury
CRA replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
I like Allen...but Kony needs the early work to help us get off to a good start IMO and set the tone. He is a noticeably better pass rusher at this point. -

We only have so few roster spots. We need them. Tillman's knee likely is what it is. So either he can play or can't -

I'd go Fozzy. who was the big play man down the stretch last year? He made one last week. -
NY Daily News had an article about how to beat us. They had a scout on there saying the Giants should be able to pass on us. He stated we have nice stats but our pass rush actually wasn't that good. Credited Norman as good but that Beckham was simply much better at what he does than Norman is at what he does. Pretty garbage article overall so I won't link to it.

I think Beckham Jr and Antonio Brown are the two best WRs in the game. I don't expect us to be running a ton of man with our current CB situation. That means Giants can dictate some scenarios in regards to who will be covering Beckham Jr. So some big pass plays definitely could be made we aren't use to seeing....Personally, I hope I am wrong and despite having issues at CB they run a lot of man w/ Norman on Beckham. My guess is just that the man coverage would be asking a lot of our #2 CB and nickel CB at this point. also, it will be interesting to see what our run game is. Stewart has been it...and he hasn't really had holes, just dragging dudes. What will the impact of not having him be and how will that impact our O? Will we be a heavy Tobert/Fozzy O? Or will the rookies make their debut? Definitely an exciting game. Even w/ injuries, Giants have bad defense, can't run, and a one man WR offense.....Carolina should win.
-
I think your best shot is to run, run, run. Hope your D get capitalize on a mistake. We have been known to screw up a run assignment and get gashed a time or 2. I mean we can smoother a rush attack and suddenly let someone pop a 50 yarder. Messes up the numbers and on paper you can't tell how good we can be b/c of bonehead play. I'd go conservative until you can't if I play Carolina
-
We are strong on Defense. Our current O also aids them in being strong. Take Cam out....we have a defense that will be weakened b/c we then have weak WRs, a meh run blocking OL, and an okay pass blocking OL. Name a QB that isn't a future HOFer that wins has won in that scenario? Cam masks lots of things and makes people think we are "okay" in areas we really aren't.
-
Cam is 5th in the NFL in rushing 1st downs Cam is 3rd in rushing TDs. Our offense depends on that. Everyone talks about his rushing TDs but it is his first downs that make him the monster for opponents. No one talks about them but his career numbers are crazy in terms of picking on first downs (and that is why you can't compare him to anyone else in the game )
-
I don't disagree with everything you are saying... but name 2 QBs you could put in this Cam centric rush O that could have us 11-0? Cam's power running and ability to evade in manners no other NFL QB can just can't be matched....and our O is built and thrived around it.
