    49ers essentially traded up for the #1 spot. Everyone and there momma knows Trevor and Wilson are 1 and 2. Not sure why they are trying to be so secretive given they paid to go up there. If they initially owned the spot I get it.

    Fields would be an even bigger steal IMO than when Star fell to us. You have to draft him IMO if he falls to #8. I can go either way on Lance. Draft him. Don't draft him and get Sewell or something like that? I'm fine either way.

    Trevor ain't dumb. I do expect to see more Andrew Luck's, Luke Kuchley's, etc. as time goes on. I mean we all LOVE Thomas Davis. A guy like him, hopefully not him though, could easily look back and regret not calling it a day years and years earlier than he did.

    Dude can play. He also is one of those dudes IMO who is wired weird. If he isn't on your team you would deem him dirty IMO and try to get him to do stupid stuff. Cuts both ways. I think you occasionally need a little of that on a roster though. We have lacked that to some degree since 89 left. But it is a fine line to walk in terms of helping/hurting.

    guys like him IMO are the textbook double edged sword. great mauling play and....overly aggressive boneheaded penalty because he can't control his emotions.

    IMO our second best OL in Panther history was Wharton. Largely because of how diverse he was. G, T? What do you need. Wharton could be it.

    Joe Brady while great overall.....was suspect at times on big downs (4th and some key 3rds) and very late. I mean, some of his 4th down playcalls were just bad. I know hindsight and all and success/failure of a play skews it some.....but some were just head scratchers even if they worked out.

    I mean, hard to knock Teddy for that. They just replaced him. They want to get rid of him. Why would he play welcoming committee. I don't fault Teddy for that. Tepper/Rhule didn't handle Cam or Teddy correctly. Moving on from either is fine. But they go about business shitty. And you don't have to do that.

    just a reminder, that the official Panthers depth chart...isn't the actual depth chart. The coaches and team don't put that together.

    I don’t count Brady. Too weird. He is like 78. Regardless of what his contract says you basically get him for a year and he lets you know after that. he is basically a one year championship run rental

    I don’t think Tepper has a set in stone model. This off-season was weird. You don’t normally get a Stafford and Watson up for grabs. That’s not normal in the NFL. So he wasn’t just going to let it go without trying. That simply won’t be an option going forward most likely because we don’t see that often

    I mean I assume the plan is to draft a young QB at some point. A freak show TE seems like a great resource to develop him.

    generally I would agree. but Pitts is just too freaky IMO to pass on him for some guy that fits a need. Pitts is one of the top 3 players in this draft. And isn't your standard first round TE prospect.

    He runs a 4.4 and has the biggest wingspan we have seen in decades. I'd say he would impact every snap. Who is going to cover that if he is lined up at the TE spot?

    I wouldn't really call Pitts a TE. I'd ball him a big ass WR you ask to block sometimes.

    It’s me they were calling out for making up DJ Moore stats. I admit I didn’t look up the technicality. Thought most knew it as it has been discussed at length and was referencing his feat.

    Because CMC and Samuel last year....catered to players who couldn’t and didn’t want to throw downfield. DJ is the X WR

    DJ Moore isn’t the problem. He isn’t a problem. the lack of QB play to take advantage of him is the problem. our HOF WR had a QB who couldn’t throw downfield in 2010 while in his prime. He had 500 yards. No amount of desire was going to let him excel.

    I don’t view DJ Moore as a middle of the road WR. I view him as one of the more talented young WRs in the NFL who hasn’t had decent QB play at any point in his career....and is off to the best start in franchise history at the position.

    Well that is the stat the major networks ran with and promoted. He was the only WR to post at least 1175 yards in each of the last two seasons.

    The specific stat is... DJ Moore is in fact the ONLY WR to post 1175 or more yards in both 2019 and 2020. I will admit I am too lazy to look up the exact number and just say 1100+. But that stat and fact is true and was discussed at the end last season. Only other player to pull it off was Kelce. A TE.
