  1. He seems like a win now rental. Which isn’t us.
  2. I mean, if a goat had to be named between the two….it’s pretty easily Shaq isn’t?
  3. Talib being a bitch is why we have “ice up son” Intentionally trying to injure Philly Brown in the Super Bowl because he was embarrassed he couldn’t cover a no name WR.
  4. Mahomes is a freakshow QB. McNabb wasn’t in that tier. None one was calling 50 something completion percentage Donavan a GOAT at the time or now.
  5. I mean, Andy Reid was constantly criticized in his tenure in Philly for abandoning the run. That was the Andy Reid knock. is the argument now that wasn’t the case? I mean that is rewriting history IMO.
  6. Competition was also tougher in the postseason. Tougher opponents make you pay more for bad playcalling. Andy was pretty consistent in Philly with his bad habit of abandoning the run..... and it was consistent theme and discussion while he was in Philly. Probably helps to pair a play caller with Reid's habits with a freakshow at QB.
  7. Reid’s play design historically has been better than his play calling. Especially in the Philly days where he would forget he had a talented RB in Westbrook.
  8. Well said. Brady knows how to scheme up a good O. But he has to develop as a play caller. Takes time and reps (like a player).
  9. Kicking that FG is reason enough to keep him out of the top 10.
  10. I think Brady schemes up a great overall offense. I wouldn’t put him top 5 yet though. Red zone and crucial short yardage was too suspect at times in year 1 to be top 5.

    Loki

One episode in. I think this is gonna be the best yet. First episode comes out much better than Wanda or Falcon. Thought I would hate Owen Wilson in the MCU but it worked pretty well.
  12. The load we placed on Cam’s shoulders IMO was the biggest placed on any QB I have ever seen play in the NFL…. and Cam was the most entertaining player in our history. By a wide margin. Big gap between him and 89. And there is another big gap after 89 IMO.
  13. Only RB drafted in the first round in 2011 was Mark Ingram. Has played every season. A bruising runner. In his career, he has tallied 367 first downs on the ground. That is why Cam will always be a unicorn. Cam is at 400+. No QB has ever presented the threat Cam did for opposing DCs. *thats along with his NFL record TD benchmark. Greatest short yardage weapon to ever play the game. Because he also had the arm to make any throw in the book while threatening to truck any defender in the game (another feat no one has ever threatened opponents with).
  14. What would be preferred in a 20 year window though…. 2 Super Bowl appearances…..or none and more consistent regular season records where we stacked consecutive winning seasons sporadically? Cam was a unicorn at the QB spot. There simply was Cam. No one did or has played from the QB spot like Cam IMO. There isn’t a NFL comp.
  15. well, you never know what the future holds. There will be outbreaks/viruses and health concerns in the future. outdoors > indoors certainly has it's advantages in that regards even if you didn't see it come into play this past season specifically at BOA.
  16. Everyone remembers the greatest QBR game ever played. 187 yards. 2 INTs.
  17. Cam Newton during his NFL MVP season.....wasn't even top 10 in QBR.
  18. Jake gave players the opportunity to make big plays. That cuts both ways (did with Jake). But it was the best thing about him IMO.
  19. Well, we don’t have an actual set lineup. And we are projected pretty dang weak where it matters most. The middle to left side. It depends who you were to project out there. Pre 2021 season? I could see some of those projecting pretty dang bad in ranking like this and then you use the stats on some of those guys and then weight the left side more heavily. I mean we don’t have a good OL. Joe Brady’s play calling will have to compensate for that most likely. Like it did last year. And an elite RB will have to compensate for it. Tom Brady had some poo OLs in NE. They dealt with it and won. We aren’t doomed just because our OL isn’t where we want it.
  20. I tend to judge PJ by the Lions game. Saints game we were down 20+ late in the 4th and he started tossing up some balls for guys with 5 minutes left. Was basically vintage early Cam mindset when games were over late. I mean he could of just handed the ball of, kneeled down, and checked down to get out of there. I’d prefer we bring in new guys. Be done with Grier and PJ. But if you give me the option I’ll take PJ all day over Grier.
  21. I think you are placing way too much emphasis on a ranking from a prior year . That isn’t where the discussion starts IMO. Literally 2 teams had less receiving TDs than the Panthers in 2020. 2 teams had guys see the endzone less than Carolina. Packers lead the NFL in receiving TDs. 48 to 16. No one is going to rank us ahead of them. That isn’t disrespect. yeah, we had Teddy. And other teams had bad QBs too, and worse OCs…like the Bears, Jags, etc….and they got into the endzone more than our guys too. I got plenty of belief that we can turn that perspective around this year….but we earned our general location on that list going in to this year.
  22. Well we could of stayed the exact same in how they viewed us….and still dropped if other teams were simply viewed as better. and if they are largely stat driven… we had a young and dynamic player at the #3 WR spot that had logged 7 TDs heading into that season as well. He found the end zone at a good rate per touch. Robbie Anderson was finding the endzone at a higher rate per touch heading into last season as well. He had more TDs on almost half the receptions. GB’s production by their receiving options (WR/TE) group was comically better. Not even in the same ballpark. They are going to rank the groups by what they did. QB may factor but they aren’t going to just pretend a massive gap like that doesn’t matter because of the QB difference. hard to play the disrespect card when we drafted 8th and our guys barely found the end zone. Teddy or not. Even with Teddy….we didn’t find the endzone enough last year.
  23. I think refs were the biggest issue. Ron stuck with what got him to 17-1 on the season. There are stupider things Ron has done.
  24. Will Grier has shown zero ability in the NFL. PJ has at least shown something. Might not be worth bragging about but he can't be used as the zero bar. We legitimately asked PJ to do his job one time. He did it. The backup stepped up and started a game while the starter was hurt...and we won. PJ is 1-0. Has actually completed a TD pass. Grier is 0-2. No TDs.
