  1. what's the expression the kids are using... paper hands? pretty ugly. or a great time to buy. Guess it depends.
  2. T came out yesterday and announced they would be reducing their dividend. but yeah, they are focused on working on that debt. Probably good for their long term health and growth as well to staying competitive with everything that will be coming in that area. I think they are really focused on getting the stock price up more on par w/ their competitors. But that will take time. But for anyone in short term. My bad. I bought some. Should of told you. The stock gods always like to come at me when I buy something to make me second guess myself. Especially of late.
  3. I think in 2021 we see Horn start and we see some Marshall worked in to a small but legit role. that’s about all I expect in 2021. Maybe Chubba earns a rep here or there. Maybe the long snapper has a shot Everyone else is going to need some time to develop. I don’t buy trying to salvage Darnold and then throwing Christisen, Cornbread, Tremble out there on the OL as rookies. We might see them at some point but I don’t expect their roles to be much as rookies.
  4. Yeah, we should have won multiple championships. I mean a bunch of our JAGs were Pro Bowlers.
  5. Jones and Barnett were highly criticized about their passing ability while in college though. Just like some of Urban's FL boys. Nice stats. Wins. But not good passers. That was never Fields. Who outplayed Lawrence twice head to head in the college playoffs and probably the most accurate QB in this draft. Haskins was a good passer. Not a runner like everyone else. But only had 1 college season to name and then went to a NFL team whose coaches (2) didn't want him. But the little we saw of him wasn't good at all. But talk about a bad landing.
  6. it just seems like a guarantee this topic will be bumped at some point this season....
  7. I agree that there will be a lot more Lucks and Lukes going forward. High draft picks that get that first big contract.....and decide the smart move is not trash your body by maxing it out in the NFL. My money has is still on Trevor and Fields out of this draft. I've never really bought in on the rest of them. They all have bigger question marks to me.
  8. I mean, you toss Lance and Fields out there day 1.....and there teams will have more wins than Trevor's team this season. No doubt about that. Both those teams can push .500 with basically getting little from the QB spot. I don't think you can judge a QB by that. I fully expect Lawrence and Wilson to have loosing seasons and a lot of picks. There teams will be playing from behind and they don't have the weapons to make that easy on a young QB.
  9. Trevor is more like a QB robot. Kinda like Peyton Manning if you gave him some decent wheels. Not saying that is what he will be, but that kinda is the mold. Easily the highest floor of the group. Zach Wilson has a crazy arm. No doubt. I think he probably will make some of the worst decisions with the ball though if ranked with that group.
  10. Defender of the Fresh Biscuit? I think not.
  11. During his 5 seasons here, Michael Bates made 5 Pro Bowls.
  12. I mean, the rules have dramatically changed the game. The NFL wants points. They want to highlight the QBs in generating those points. and as a result of that, WRs have it easier. Much easier to come into the NFL now as a WR with the rules stacking the deck in your favor vs prior eras IMO.
  13. I think if you were a Pro Bowler while in Carolina....that probably means you don't qualify as a JAG
  14. I remember that talk going on. I'm not sure the argument held up though. College did stuff different. They were getting their hands on great athletes at QB and using them. NFL didn't like seeing the different stuff at first. So they bashed it because they didn't run those concepts with Eli Manning, Philip Rivers, etc. I haven't looked at stats, and a lot of it is probably the rule changes and softer coverage....but WRs seem to have an easier time transitioning now.
  15. and Kelly Bryant went 16-2 and had the job before Lawrence. He went to the college playoffs his first year as the starter and would have gone back the second year too. Clemson is a super friendly place to find success. But no one ever mentions any of that with Trevor. Eyeball test. Trevor was a different. I think Fields was similar in that respect...when you look at him vs others that played up there.
  16. Clemson runs a QB friendly system too. Dabo is still a product of the Tommy Bowden tree. But I've never heard anyone talk about Charlie Whitehurst, Taj Boyd, etc when Trevor's name gets brought up.
  17. Hoov is basically a Panther GOAT and legend so I think removes him from my definition of a JAG. Plus, I think there were stretches where he was the best lead blocker in the NFL. To me, you can't be a JAG and be the best at something. Even if it isn't sexy. Definition of JAG is pretty vague though. I'll go Kurt Coleman. He wasn't really good. He did some dumb stuff. But he brought some pop to the secondary.....and we rarely have seen that here.
  18. No doubt. Cam IMO is the best short yardage weapon in NFL history. Bill isn't going to not use him.
  19. Marty was good early. It all fell apart when the lockout talk hit. Contracts and it all fell about for him.
  20. Yep, you get removed from different coaches and schemes….the fact played guys played at the same schools becomes pretty meaningless. Haskins has more connection to FLTebow than Fields for example
  21. Gamecocks actually have put out some pretty decent high end corners into the NFL for whatever that is worth. Might be the spot they have done the best at in the NFL of late. Joseph and Gilmore and now Horn is better than a lot of of places. I think if you were going to talk about a Ohio St QB like Haskins….you have to go down to FL and trace the Urban QBs….and not stay at Ohio St. I think the FL QBs become more relevant to him than old Ohio St players.
  22. Woody Dantzler and Clipboard Jesus are just as relevant to Trevor Lawerence as Cardell Jones is to Trevor Lawrence. The fact two also got tiger paw stickers doesn’t actually make them more relevant to Trevor in terms his NFL outlook.
  23. I don’t think so. Some classes are hyped for being WR centric at the top or DE heavy or whatever. Prospects are just that. Prospects. But this was a good QB class in terms of QBs prospects. Having a Lawrence and a Fields in the same draft is kinda rare in itself. Then in add Wilson, Lance, Jones. 5 in the top half of the first? Teams have been starved at QB for a long time so I don’t think you can chalk it up to that. I just think this was a strong overall class with good diversity.
