Cam's ability to do that....is literally what made him special and a part of what made him a franchise QB. Remove that from his game or significantly reduce it....then Cam isn't actually special. And we don't win when we did with him.

I really never get this. Ron allowed Cam to be Cam. Which was the right call IMO. You either allowed Cam to be special or you prevented it to maybe extend his career. What do you think Cam wanted?

that was a weird SuperBowl. Some really questionable stuff by refs in that one. Different set of refs and it could of gone the other way. You rarely are going to win when the refs start calling it for the other team. When both teams are good. The Remmers stuff is pretty indefensible though. But doing what we did got us to 17-1....so I could see why the obivous adjustment might be harder for them than us. Especially, when we were getting the looks and some big plays were setting up for us down. We just couldn't get it off.

it is what it is I think if we had a great GM like some orgs? Ron would still be the coach. His teams were very flawed overall in terms of talent. How weak certain spots got. More so than Fox's IMO.

sometimes you just need a couple inches in football not matter what your scheme is. I just view Chuba as CMC relief.

Ron IMO is the best coach we have had to date. Everyone has their own warts and shortcomings. Rhule will have his once we get to know him better too.

I'd like to see a little more diversity in the backfield than we currently have. A bigger back power.

to me, it was vastly more fun to watch PJ Walker than Teddy last year. I think it will more fun to watch Darnold than Teddy. has nothing really to do with how good a QB actually is. We weren't winning with Teddy. We weren't winning with PJ. PJ was offered a higher entertainment value. Doesn't mean he increases your odds of winning though.

Bears were a playoff team last season too. And they added a promising draft pick to a position they got very little out of last year. I mean, they should be ahead of us.

Yep. We will be the Jaguars. Bragging about Jalen Ramsey yet not being able to win football games. We've been there before. Boasting about having the best 1-2 punch at RB or a 1k/1k RB.....and losing. Horn was the best DB in college football (let's just assume that isn't a debate). Impact for the Gamecocks? One of the worst teams and defenses in college football last year. Offenses had a field day vs them. They had a field day vs them them the entire time Horn was there. Positionally, DBs aren't able to drastically impact teams like other spots do. and the counter to that Horn/Gamecocks? Look at Auburn and Cam in the SEC that season? Undefeated and a natty on the back of a QB and a DT. Some positions just matter more.

I mean that is literally the plan in NE. For Jones to take over. They drafted a first round QB and are renting Cam. No one should be shocked. When will it happens? Who knows. But that is plan/goal at this point. Maybe that is next season. Maybe that is some point this season.

NFL scout just put out his. Has Moore at 17. Which seems about the right ballpark at this stage.

He will be Jalen Ramsey. You can only bash an uber elite player so hard. and yes, if we still don’t have a QB….the situation we find ourselves in will be discussed heavily. Because a great DB doesn’t help lift up a bad or average football team. Just like Luke and CMC couldn’t. QB remains the ultimate puzzle piece at this stage. All that really matters. You have one or you don’t.
