    Loki

SPOILER I hadn't thought about that until you said it. But yeah, it would make sense if she was Loki variant now that I think about it.
  2. I think Chinn likely fits the bill as having high odds of a sophomore slump. At least from a Carolina fan perspective. In fact, he could possibly improve in reality and yet be deemed by many fans as taking a step backwards. He has a lot of "splash" plays last year. So I could see him having less of those and people thinking he took a step back when reality it might not even be the case.
  3. Hitting in the 3 rounds is doable. We have done it before. High odds a lot of those in rounds 4-7 never do much.
  4. how many coaches on our roster have played QB in the NFL? Given Sam Darnold is a young bust to date....the QB room is pretty weak IMO if the goal is to coach him up. Sam's quarterback coach in Carolina played LB in college. Who coached a Manning in the NFL who was half way into his career...and Deshaun Watson.
  5. I mean, you wouldn’t bring in a vet to pair with Sam for what he offers you on Sunday. You would him for what he offers you M-Sat.
  6. I mean, are you really all in on aiding Sam Darnold......if his QB room is PJ/Will? Probably would be wise to get rid of both of them and bring in some old vet to coach Sam up in the film room. Rent a vet for a year. And Sam either works.....or you move on from him just as quick as Teddy. But hopefully with a drafted QB this time. I think a vet makes more sense to pair with Sam than two guys we know don't have it and offer little for Sam's growth.
  7. I'm cool with replacing them pending it doesn't take up additional cap space. Otherwise, just roll with PJ Walker as the backup.
  8. well, this is the Panther section. So humor me and let's just talk about the football aspect only for a minute. Should a player get it from a purely football only aspect. Forget about freedoms and all that. Look at the NC State example. Pretty big moment for the team. The more unvaccinated players you have....the bigger the risk you present to your organization. The odds of your team being negatively impacted via COVID increase. Infected players missing time. Causing others to miss time via spread or just forced quarantine. Maybe you turn into a mini-Ohio State from last college football season where you have guys going out for basically a quarter of the season as it goes around. Can we agree on that.
  9. there are professional athletes that believe the world is flat. That dinosaurs never existed. Just sayin.
  10. I suspect given the percentage of players not getting vaccinated coupled with the world getting back to normal…..scenarios like this have potential to be even more common than last year (when essentially everyone was secluded)
  11. well, when being compared to other teams.... you can certainly drop by simply remaining the same.
  12. I don't think so. People who get vaccinated generally don't go with the "no comment" approach.
  13. Armanti Edwards played QB. Did we draft a WR or a QB? Reality is we drafted a WR. At this point, all indications are we drafted someone to come in and play OG.
  14. We drafted someone that might can compete to play OG this year in the 3rd round and then drafted another G in the 6th round. I mean, I don't dislike either pick. I actually like the 6th round kid probably more than most. I just don't see how we can get upset that those on the outside view it as us not doing much.....especially given how we and the outside have long viewed the OL. And we will have a struggling QB that has shown little ability to mask OL deficiencies. It is an odd strategy.
  15. yeah, but in fairness....you can't really call a 6th rounder investing in the OL. Doesn't mean it can't work out. But if you have a weak OL no one is going to give you a thumbs up when half your investment was in round 6. I think playcalling and Sam's ability to execute will ultimately determine how bad the OL is. I think the majority of OLs are in the same tier. Subpar. QBs and playcalling have a lot to do with how the cluster of OLs ultimately gets viewed.
  16. talk about calling it. Simms' formula is getting pretty predictable. Allen is at #2 for the same reason Brady is outside the top 10. Same with his college draft stuff. Allen is #2 for the same reason Wilson was ahead of Trevor. Same reason he dropped Fields so far down.
  17. I mean, a random Thursday in Spartanburg will have people digging in to a narrative. That's just the huddle. It is the way.
  18. all it's going to take is a preseason game and half the board gonna roll in like....
  19. Will Grier has no business being in the NFL. PJ Walker at this point, belongs battling for depth on a NFL roster. He actually did his job the one time he was legitimately called upon.
  20. a lot of coaches would have looked bad coaching Tannehill and Darnold as rookies in the NFL IMO. Gase sucks. But a lot of Tannehill and Darnold sucking is because they hadn't put the time in at QB vs other players. remember, like Sam....Tannehill wasn't exclusively groomed as a QB his whole life. Tannehill played WR in college.
  21. and I view it similar to the Panthers. You can start Hill or Winston. You win about the same amount of games. You just get there differently. Which is kinda my Darnold vs Teddy thought. We would win about the same number no matter who played QB. The games we win/loss might be different but we get to about the place in the end. Sam will however be more entertaining and therefore the better option over Teddy.
  22. I mean the money 100% mattered last year. Winston wasn't jumping him. And it still matters. But it isn't the same. He didn't literally just pay Hill 140m. You would have different arguments you can make now vs then as well. I still think he starts Hill because of ego and money. But I think he could attempt the argument I presented earlier. and I don't care about either. I as I said, I lump them in the same tier.
  23. I'm merely talking about last season. Payton paid Hill 140 million and was really criticized for paying him that much. He was starting over Winston last year. No question about that IMO. That massive contract isn't fresh in the discourse now. I could see him being able to pull off a "wanting all his best players" on the field narrative. Starting Winston and featuring Hill in the O. And then if things get bad just put Hill back again. I put both QBs in the same tier. Completely different players. There pros and cons are very different but not sure I would say one is really better than the other. Probably your pass O has the highest ceiling with Winston playing QB and Hill in the slot.
