I think you are giving Tepper too much credit. And if you want to tank….it’s a front office job. It means you trade away all your assets and sign no one that will help you. Matt Rhule would not be onboard with a tank job. A real tank job isn’t about coaching in season. It’s about the off-season prior to the season. And Matt Rhule will want to use resources to give him the best possible 2022 he can get. Because that will be the last entry on his resume.

When is the last time he got an OC interview?
-
I mean wasn’t it basically Eli chucking the ball to Odell Beckham Jr? That was right when Beckham Jr got drafted and was really good….before he became a basketcase. The ElI to Beckham connection got a ton of hype and was good ( think that’s when “the catch” happened)….but was it really more than Eli having a lot of success because of a freak WR the league didn’t really know?

I think the SF O is largely Kyle Shanahan
-
This is exactly the type hire Rhule attracts. Someone no one wants. He is a “consultant” because he couldn’t find a job. That’s how the coaching fraternity works. He was a position coach for the worst team in the NFL the year prior to not finding a gig. Rockstar lol.

Big Ben and Cam both need to retire.
-
I think some of that domination is Philly being inept in their pass attack
-
Sucks Tampa got the Eagles. The weakest pass team in the playoffs. I think they would have been upset today if Philly had a legit pass game.
-
McD clearly still pissed about folks praising Bill and his superior coaching for that game where he threw 3 passes

We don’t know what Fields will be. Allen was trash as a rookie QB if you recall. Fields is super talented and it showed in games like that prime time one vs the Steelers. If the book is already written on Fields….then it would have been on Allen at the same time.
-
Well, this past draft was an opportunity to draft a potential Allen. We passed on that and signed the worst QB in the NFL instead. and Allen had a really rough rookie season (so you can’t really use the Fields didn’t look great argument). But it’s why you draft talent at QB when you don’t have it. 5 wins with Fields would feel a lot different right now. Because I’m sure he would have had those moments here like he did in Chicago vs the Steelers, SF, etc.
-
I didn’t. And I thought I was right after his rookie year too. the jump he made has been pretty crazy. One of my favorite guys to watch. And unlike Mahomes and Rodgers (who I also like to watch)…..Allen is actually likable.

Mac is more composed than Sam. And Mac can read a field and know when and where to go with it. Mac lacks physical tools. Mac would actually probably be a good QB if he had Sam’s physical attributes.

Matt Rhule will be like….look, he doesn’t have the ceiling to be a Jonathan Ogden. Therefore I’m going to find a homeless man and give him the LT job. Deonte Brown is going to do punt returns. While he impressed you schmucks he will never achieve the elite G play I want. So I’m going to have Robby Anderson play G.

Josh Allen is about as close to a Cam comp (prime Cam) as you can find. Play style wise.

Buffalo = Arnold Carolina = Danny

Not arguing Cam is the guy anymore. He isn’t. And that’s because of his arm. Which isn’t coming back. Neither of which is the current convo. But Cam is dominant on the ground. Specifically short yardage. That’s not an argument for anything. It just is what it is. You need one yard today or the last decade....Cam is the best option/threat for the scenario. And that could land him a gig on a contender if he would accept that minimal yet important role
-
well, it was random. Same PFF guy has a different chart for this season. Doesn’t include Cam as I guess he didn’t log enough snaps. seeing where Teddy is and where Sam is….well, that’s Matt Rhule in a nutshell. Getting worse.
-
Vast majority of Cam’s rushing TDs came after that chart ended. Even last year he had his 2nd most rushing TDs and 2nd most first down pickups in a season. You could find a chart from 2015-present day and Cam is still going to be statistically dominant on the ground. greatest short yardage threat/option in NFL history
-
Matt Rhule is entering the desperation window. Where his decisions won’t be about the long term….but about the short term and saving face. another reason why I want him fired. We know he isn’t the answer. Now we are going to let him do some really dumb stuff as he hopes to prove he isn’t a joke.

I’m not talented enough to edit the Homer Simpson gif but it needs a Tepper edit
