Jeremy Chinn seems to be in the early Thomas Davis window of his career. Too talented and causing a staff to put him where he doesn’t actually belong.
-
I never thought the Panthers, the D, the coaching staff, Sam were what was collectively painted after 3 weeks. I also don’t think any of those things are what was painted after the Dallas game. I think when we are done with the 3 game stretch vs the Cowboys, Eagles and Vikings we will have a good overall picture of our strength and weaknesses and exactly where we stack up.
-
Sam isn’t Aaron Rodgers. He isn’t going to be. That’s okay. Sam is good enough with our weapons. we need to build a respectable OL. And we still need to add talent at LB. MLB specifically. Shaq is playing great this year but we need more talent at the next level IMO

We played 2 bad teams with rookies making their first start and a hammered Saints team….. today we played a top tier NFL offense with essentially no holes on offense. so what are we? Something inbetween weeks 1-3 and today. Few teams are built like the Cowboys O. Good OL, Good QB, Good RBs, Good WRs.

they went throwback rock band heavy after Nipplegate. Stones, The Who. I don't seem doing that anymore. You got to switch generations at this stage in to who you are throwing back for. I mean, this Dr/Em is hitting smack at the 40 year old crowd. Which I think is about right. Hard to cater to the 60+ year old crowd anymore at the Super Bowl (and that is what throwback rock would be at this point). And there isn't really 40 year old rock throw back IMO to go. Eddie Vedder ain't a halftime show and basically everyone else is gone from that era. Chili Peppers already did it.

I mean, there is no way that cast will suck in comparison to what they have been doing lately at halftime. Dre, Snoop, Em > The Weekend, Shakira, Katy Perry, Coldplay, Gaga

No Respect for the Panthers - What Cowboys Fans are Saying
CRA replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
Cooks was actually pretty wide open, pretty often. Cooks wasn’t having a hard time. The QB was. -
People were more hyped after Ron’s year 1 than Rhule’s year 1. Year one of Ron was an exciting time to be a Panther fan. He tripled the win total of the team he took over and we were building the franchise around the most exciting player ever drafted. Ron, Fox and Dom all had exciting starts. 3 years in…..they were all largely loved by the fanbase for what they were building here. All in the postseason by year 3. Honeymoon phase.
-
It isn't even 5 o'clock yet bro.
-
I don't know about you....but I can switch seats in my living room and impact what happens on the TV.
-
I think we are in the honeymoon phase with Matt Rhule. History with Carolina coaches says not to judge a HC off that. They have all seemed great minus Seifert in the honeymoon window. and we are early in the honeymoon window. So much is still unknown about year 2.

Friendly Announcer Alert! Greg Olsen is calling the Cowboys game!

the Sunday night game, no matter when it would be played....would draw the most eyeballs this week. I think Carolina is tied for the 2nd best game of the weekend. Tied w/ Rams/Cards. -
No Respect for the Panthers - What Cowboys Fans are Saying

I mean, we just lost CMC...and we boast a horrible OL that can't open lanes for a standard RB nor likely has the ability to allow Sam much time to throw. Dallas should be favored. Basically equates to them being a 2 pt favorite on a neutral field. That seems fair enough. -
Newton sucks. But that is what a reporter is suppose to do. Ask that type question. He isn't Panther PR.
-
I'd say it looks more like the OL's skill set is limited. I'd say the Cowboys would LOVE for us to engage in a shootout with them. I hope that isn't the gameplan.
-
this team has never even played down 3 points on the season though. I think that might be the in game adversity he was referencing. How does Darnold play down 10 early for example? Is he going to keep playing smart? We still haven't seen a lot with this group. That's coaches too.
-
our all blue color rush look is probably my favorite look.

he missed the 2nd half with it.

Is this the best Panthers pass rush in franchise history?
CRA replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
you can nitpick anything....his overall resume is what it is. He has put 3 different teams in the top 5 defensively. If that isn't a good DC, then I don't know what one is. Ron was the same way. Multiple teams and did it in multiple schemes. The fact they suck as HCs is overpromotion....which you see often in sports. and it's the present day NFL. The entire league is too comically catered to aid the offense against a defense. So defenses are going to get got. -

Yeah, Del Rio got there last year and they finished the season as the #2 rated defense. it's silly to try to paint strong narratives only using 3 weeks of football. They played Chargers and Bills...and the D had to deal with the impacts of an inefficient offense figuring out a sudden QB change. Del Rio is proven at DC. -

Del Rio and Ron were very good defensive coordinators. Them being meh HCs doesn't alter that imo but I think it often does. it's just overpromotion. they were and are still great DCs IMO. -
I mean he probably is better today than Chubba. But that isn’t the point. We drafted Chubba for a reason. Windows like we are currently in are where he can grow…with the goal of being better than Mack. I want our young kids getting reps over JAGs. Tremble, Brady, Chubba IMO should be put into position to get good reps.
-
I don't think teams specifically get biased calls. I do think certain plays get calls others don't. I think that is where ref bias really shows itself the most. I don't consider crews that call certain things heavier than others bias. You see that a lot too. But that is part of coaching, knowing what crew is calling your game and their tendency....and you should know that and play to it.
-
CMC is only out likely for two weeks. We should keep repping Chubba to see what he develops into. That's the whole point of drafting him.
