  1. The cost is worth the gamble. But the cost is why I am not getting my hopes up either. It’s like us trading Jaycee Horn next year for a decent TE. That just wouldn’t make sense…unless there was something up with Horn.
  2. That might be the saddest top 10 draft pick I have ever seen. hopefully getting out of FL does him well.
  3. For the cost? This was a great move. but what we got him for and the fact the Jags have been trying to unload him since this summer? I think does kinda confirm there is at least something there. All season the #7 pick of the 2020 draft has been offered up for cheap (who has looked promising when he played)….there has to be red flags that teams are aware of for that to happen IMO.
  4. I wouldn’t say entirely, Charlie Strong indicated he was having some issues and dealing with stuff. I only remember him talking about it because I had no clue Charlie was now with the Jags and was surprised he was there now
  5. there is a thread from the off-season that discusses it when the Jags were trying to deal him back then I believe that goes into it.
  6. A lot of early season stats and rankings are pretty misleading though… that stat is made up of two games vs Brady and Herbert. Which based on what we have seen to date, might be the worst draw anyone could open up with
  7. I always felt Trevor's rookie season would be very similar to Peyton Mannings. and I think he will end up with the rookie passing TD record in the end. In that same breath, I always said I think people might be shocked at how many INTs he throws as a rookie. Like Peyton.
  8. * Rhule did note that Horn possibly could be season ending. Pretty much both sided it when it was followed up on.
  9. Dak has a playoff win. The last time the Cowboys went to the playoffs they advanced a game.
  10. Hopefully they stay Zeke heavy. Tony Pollard IMO is the more explosive player and overall better RB at this point. That started emerging last year. Not that Zeke is trash. But losing a step has really altered how scary he is. Will be curious to see the usage tonight. They were about a 50/50 split the week prior.
  11. I think the trade has more to do with Horn being gone than anything. And the Jags wanted Arnold before the season started.
  12. looking at the pass charts through 3 games, looks like he has 1 more attempt than Brady that traveled 20 yards in the air. but again, that is just pass attempts. Not completions. Or plays that gained 20+. But Teddy has done a decent job thus far. But that not his DNA. It a forced effort.
  13. Think the stat he was referencing was the most 20 yard throws downfield. Which is different than 20 yard plays. Teddy has more pass attempts that are 20 yards downfield than Russell Wilson and Tom Brady this year thus far.
  14. Newton no doubt is horrible. I just don’t get what he did here? so he asked if it was a read or just a straight QB keeper. Pretty common to ask players after the fact about specific plays and what was going on.
  15. I don’t know….it wasn’t that bad of a question. Was it a read option or a QB run. And I also get Sam not answering it. But him not answering it likely was answering it IMO.
  16. Only so much scheming you can do around a weak OL though. Especially short yardage and red zone IMO. I mean we can’t pick up a yard by handing the ball off….it’s not really a play-calling or lack of execution issue as it is simply just a lack of OL talent IMO.
  17. well as far as checkdowns… That really wasn’t the critique. Sam isn’t a checkdown QB. The complaint was through camp, preseason and week 1 he appeared to be coached into being one. Because that isn’t how he has ever played…and we didn’t need to ask him to be Teddy. Could of just kept Teddy who is great at that if that is what they were going to do with Sam. He is now playing the field like he always has. Which is good.
  18. he has done a good job the past two weeks in that area.
  19. Same as last year. Good overall offense and play calling between the 20s. Closer we get…the harder it is for him to figure out what works with these players. Part of that IMO is just lack of OL talent.
  20. Moore is simply a better WR. He is our #1. So Sam looks his way more.
  21. It’s just math. You put the ball on the ground consistently….it isn’t always gonna be recovered. It matters. and it’s why it’s always been a problem for Sam. Because the law of averages always catches up to you eventually
  22. It’s the whole law of averages aspect. If you put the ball on the ground a lot….it’s a problem. Because it’s not always going to bounce your way. Ball security and bad decisions are literally the Sam Darnold knocks. Always have been. He consistently does it. Ball security. USC, NY and to date here. and your numbers are off. He doesn’t have 1 fumble on the season. He has 4 in 3 games. He had 2 last night, both in Carolina territory. fumbles and fumbles lost are two different stats. I’ll put the 2nd on Rhule. Was stupid to ask Sam to attempt that drive given how things were unfolding. Could see that fumble coming a mile away. The first is just poor pocket awareness and ball security. You got to feel that, protect the ball and move in the pocket better.
