Daniel Jones is a better QB than Sam Darnold. And yeah, Daniel Jones sucks. Most of their points weren't a product of creative offensive playcalling. It was a product of our O setting them up. Last 3 scoring drives by the Giants....they averaged 23 yards a drive. 23. You shouldn't get points on 3 consecutive drives where you average 23 yards. They had a saftey too. Daniel Jones is better behind a bad OL than Sam Darnold. That was the game. And he is better than Sam.

go back and look at the cast Aaron Rodgers played wtih in 2020 and 2019 when Adams got hurt. That's why he was about to walk away from football. Point was, that is what great QB does. It fixes things. That's what good QB play does. Bad QBs, makes bad signfincatly worse. That's Sam. I don't get the playcalling drum. Not in terms of how loud it is being hit. Even if we had a good OC, you can't scheme around a bad QB and horrible OL in the NFL. Maybe on a random week vs weak compeition but overall any OC would look bad with that.
-
Rodgers makes it look like they have more than they do and has for awhile. That’s kind the issue he has been pouting about in large part of late he has had one legit WR. Who hasn’t always been healthy in terms of receiving threats.
-
but he is showing he help decrease the odds of overall team success. He is doing his inexcusable clean pocket throw thing.

you really struggle with taking a message board way too serious boss. It just seems like a poor hire by Rhule. I mean, would you hire Mike Shula to lead a high power pass attack? No. Would be be a decent hire if your intention was to run the ball down someone's throat? Sure. Joe Brady is a pass heavy guy. And not a dink and dunk guy. And a green one at that. If you were going to bring Joe Brady in....you better of been ready to let him aggressively air it out and have the talent for that to be on the table. Otherwise, what's the point. He is too green to be suppose to figure out how to make Sam Darnold and this OL function. Even a good OC would ultmiately fail and not have consistent results with that.
-
Cool beans. You could just say you have no actual defense of Matt Rhule in the future.
-
I’ll repeat it. Every play goes through his ears. And he has input and the ability to do whatever he wants with it. and no a competent OC is not going to do anything with a the worst starting QB in the NFL paired with a bad OL. Overall he will look horrible. Brady was a project to begin with. You give what the Panthers did? Well, it shouldn’t be shock. That’s on Rhule. Brady is a freaking pass heavy offensive mind. That’s what Rhule brought in. Nothing about Rhule’s tenure says he is good at addressing problems. Tepper had a Seattle GM that overly values DB. That doesn’t make Tepper good at addressing problems. See QB and OL. The two biggest problems and they are getting bigger and worse under him.

Lot of players have for tools to be good and aren’t. The draft is full of them and most are never to really be heard of or ever become noteworthy. Sam experiment shouldn’t of ended when the Jets dumped him. His path back to a starting job should of been a long one.
-
Rhule hired him. Every play runs through Rhule’s ear. and we know Rhule has say. Like when he wanted to call a stupid fake punt on his 15. and if you gave a competent OC the worst starting QB in the NFL and a horrible OL….they will suck. As bad as Brady? Who knows. Brady was always a project. But they would suck too

which is why teams without a QB have to start playing the QB lotto. Which Rhule and company don't get. They have brought in established bums and backed them up with his college QB. If you have no QB, you draft Fields. Or you draft Mac. Or you trade away captial to get one that wasn't going to fall. And you bring in Menshew. You bring in actual competition. You start playing the QB lotto. You don't just make Sam Darnold the plan. If that is your plan, you shouldn't be in charge of a NFL team. That's college football. In college, you can get to a decent or good record without being an actually good college football team. Heck, in college you can be a top 25 team. And not actually be good. This is a weird year in college football but in a normal year....you can win games and squeak into the top 25....and not really be good at all in reality. Still be a 20+ point under dog when you step on the field with one of the really good programs/teams.
-
he is also a rookie, he isnt' suppose to be a legit starting RB yet a couple games into his career....on a team with horrific run blocking and bad QB play. He has looked very good IMO all things factored.
-
I'd rather lose next week with PJ than with Sam. Everything is last season on repeat....much only worse. Last season got to the point, I preferred to lose with PJ than Teddy. It guarantees the staff has to move on from the starter. Teddy then. Sam now. The PJ mantra has never been about PJ being the starter. Just displacing the pointless QB the team insisted on riding with and forcing the front office's hand going into the next year.
-
Cam went 15-1 with a weak cast around him. QB is basically all that matters. Unless you want to build your team and then cross your fingers for a fluke season of overachieving without one. Green Bay would win 2 games if they had Sam Darnold. But they will contend this year.

When did you give up on Matt Rhule?

you can't look at the final score when talking defense effort. Giants last 3 scoring drives....they averaged 23 yards a drive. It's a variation of the Eagles game. The defense wasn't the problem in either game. They set up wins if paired with average offense. Some are expecting the D to be able to overcome unimaginable horrific offense. Offense impacts defensive performace. The 85 Bears or the LOB or whoever wouldn't of been legendary if....there O set them up to fail for 4 quarters routinely with no offense and sabatoged them with bad field position. It would have bleed over. Easy points would be had. -
Dear David, I was recently informed by an astute member of the fanbase community about the Appaloosa model. I must say, whatever that is...I believe it sucks. Thank you for you time, Some random dude on the magical interwebz

we at least could consistently move the ball around the field last season with Teddy. We might not of made a lot of big plays and we struggled in the redzone. But have regressed pretty badly because of the QB downgrade. and now, we won't play anymore rookie QBs making their first NFL starts to feast on. I guess our only hope is a COVID depleted team.
-
I mean, my intention isn't to be a Brady defender. But the Panthers gave him the worst starting QB in the NFL and what might be the worst OL in the NFL. What plan could an actually good OC come up with to make that work and it not routinely make his calls look horrible? people call Byron Leftwich a good OC now. He is just letting Tom Brady work his magic. Sean McDermott? Bad DC with bad talent. Great DC with good talent.
-
Matt Rhule boggles my mind. Like in camp, bragging about how he let other coaches dictate what they wanted to do. Almost like it was a privledge to be on the field with people who are better. and then your QB problem...is essentially mapped out by your Defensive Coordinator. What does Matt Rhule actually do and good for?
-
and then you can you know....just let him have time. And he will just give you the balll too. Sam is the worst QB in the NFL when not pressured. Just look at the last 2 weeks, horrific INTs......nothing to do with the OL sucking. It's what he always has been.
-
The NFL had a chance to get film on Sam Darnold in the Carolina offense. And now he looks every bit the textbook defintion of Sam Darnold and being the worst starting QB in the NFL. Which is the position he has held for some time now (rookies and QBs forced in by injury don't count when competing for the crown).

Adrian Peterson once set the single game rushing record against the best rushing D in the NFL. Bad games. Happen. Did they play great against Dallas? No. But you are going to have those every once in awhile. the D played great against the Eagles. They set up a blowout early for an average offense. You leave any NFL defense on the field all game with zero offense......things will get bad evetnually. That was the case for our D vs the Eagles and Giants. Did we give up some plays agasints the Cowboys and Vikings? Yes, and that is going to happen vs really well built offenses that feature a good QB, good RB, and multiple good WRs. The league is designed for them to win. -

Defense is fine. You leave them on the field with no offense….and yeah, they eventually give up points. That’s not a defensive problem. It’s horrific offense bleeding over. -
He doesn’t really have trade value. He is highly paid RB that can’t stay healthy. RB is the easiest position to solve on the cheap.
-
Oh we mayne. That pass. It’s why Sam Darnold is horrible. It’s why the OL isn’t the cause of him being horrible. He has always done that. He always will. Just horrific. but yeah, Chuba is off to a nice start. But there is a big gap between CMC and Chuba as players. Big gap between RBs isn’t a drastic as QB and we shouldn’t be paying for that difference.

Most recent Super Bowl Champs (minus the Patriots) Bucs - coach prior to the SB winning coach lasted 2 years KC - coach prior to the Super Bowl winning coach lasted 1 year Philly - coach prior lasted 1 year Denver - coach prior lasted 1 year Seattle - coach prior lasted 1 year Its not just the Browns that part from coaches that don’t work. You part with coaches that don’t work. You stick with coaches that give you a reason to….until they don’t. Not For Long league applies to coaches too
