  1. I think less Freeman. But work in the Vikings kid with Chuba. He had some nice pop to him today.
  2. We ain’t winning the next two no matter who plays without CMC. You can’t pull off that gameplan today vs NE or AZ
  3. Recap Sam murdered PJ makes a complete dumbass throw on first and goal Refs try to screw us on that clock Chuba and that boring run game comes through. Lesson? Just run it the rest of the game.
  4. I think people put too much into whatever an announcer says. That’s just how DJ looks when runs and he doesn’t watch him every week. DJ visually never looks like he is going all out when he runs. ball was just floated in a manner the defender had time to come up and make the play IMO. defenders get paid to make plays too
  5. and given the decision making of Sam and all the turnovers of late…is it actually a good call to ask Sam to take shots right now? It’s why Brady get screwed. He put it Sam’s hand and he turns it over and everyone asks why we didn’t just run the ball and take it out of his hands. Agree you don’t see it a lot but most teams aren’t starting the worst QB in the NFL.
  6. think it is just opting for the conservative play to move the sticks and not wanting to put the ball in Sam’s hand for what is generally an aggressive play opportunity (he has been turning it over too much of late and making poor decisions). Brady in that weird space where he is damned if he does and damned if he don’t now.
  7. PJ is too much of a gunslinger to lead your to a #1 pick like Clausen. You would have weeks where it worked out. What we need to do is just bring Clausen out of retirement. I mean if you want to tank for #1 you need to get it. PJ end up giving you the 5 pick or something we draft McCaffrey again or some poo.
  8. to do what? I got no problem with bringing him in. Backup? Compete for a job with someone else we bring in? Play ahead of a promising rookie? Ok. Making him the only option like Sam? No thanks.
  9. Gotcha. Still, 2X all ACC is impressive not matter the sport.
  10. Well we have the highest paid RB in the NFL. Are adding JAGs and bust at QB and investing the D. I call that being built around a RB.
  11. But that wouldn’t be hard to go into a season and not want your rookie RB you are developing be your featured RB. You Named a bunch of teams that easily put backfields together that get the job done. Bucs, Rams, etc, I don’t know what Rhule’s goal is he is building toward on O. Presently we are built around a RB.
  12. they all play with good QBs and good OLs. Fournette a top RB? Or does now just play in a place RBs thrive. it’s silly to build around Henry and CMC. They get hurt and you are screwed. Rams, Bucs, Dallas, all keep rolling with a RB injury. There are a lot of legit runners in the NFL if they are setup for success. There aren’t many that can what Henry and CMC do.
  13. two 2x all ACC? Did you get a shot in the NFL?
  14. You don’t need a top RB. If you have a good QB and OL….you simply will have a run as a byproduct. League is full of guys that can run the ball.
  15. bet CMC is just itching to get back on the field and take a comical load for Carolina after hearing this leak out.
  16. 24 starts at USC - 22 INTs, 21 fumbles Almost a guarantee he would throw a pick and put the ball on the ground every time he took the field.
  17. maybe Rhule should of let his OC and not his DC pick our QB this year too.
  18. "There was happiness. A few losses later. This place is up in arms." You literally didn't type it out. You implied it. You can think anything you want. But if you post your opinion on something, you should be able to handle that a certain percetnage will agree and disagree. You can think Clausen was owed a second season. You post it here, people will respond with their own opinion of the statement. That is one of the primary funcitons of the message board. Sam is very likeable. He has proven for 4 straight seasons he isn't a starting QB though.
  19. No, you were implying the huddle was overeacting and changing course to quick on Sam. I was reminding you that everyone doesn't fall into that narrative. Sam Darnold has been Sam Darnold his entire QB career. Same flawed QB essentially from USC to Carolina.
  20. there is no turning anything around. I wasn't part of the playoff/MVP crowd. Sam has basically been Sam the entire time he has been here. I've been pretty consistent about that.
  21. and Sam was still making a lot of really dumb and bad plays during that 3-0 run vs weak comp. Some wouldn't acknowledge that. Even guys in the media who really knew the Jets like Mike Greeney were like, yeah, it is looking better and it nice to get exited...but a lot of what makes Sam bad is still there and on display during the 3-0 run.
  22. Well, one of the primary knock on Sam has always been his inablity to see the field. There is lots and lots and lots of legit reporting on that from NFL coaches. and did you watch this week with Chris Simms breaking it down for you. Like literally walking you through how clueless Sam is when it comes to seeing the field and knowing where to go? Explain that. That can't be blamed on a OL. That can't be blamed on playcalls. The play says to go X because the defense does Y. Sam doesn't look X. It's QB 101. Sam isn't a QB from the neck up. Just the neck down.
