  1. Well he isn’t paying them all off all off to go away. Too many accusations exist. So it will go the distance with some. and he will be suspended for games in 2022 as a results of his actions. Because even if he isn’t guilty of the worst of the accusations….he will be punished for his really dumb behavior. He isn’t playing right now. Those don’t count as suspension games. Not sure where you got 25 from. He might not get 16 in 2022 but he will get a good amount. So regardless, it would make his first full season 2023. And you might hate the fact you have to pull for a perv when all the dust settles. Too much smoke to think they are all BS. Some legit massage therapist are clearly mixed in. just not worth the risk. And it sets up to potentially be the dumbest move in franchise history…. but Watson can ball. As I said, I’m a massive Clemson homer and was my favorite player. Not just at Clemson but overall.
  2. I didn't say he was talking scared. That's you. I said he knows he is about to go into damage control in the near future for this clusterfug of a season. It's what NFL coaches do. And I am pretty sure being paid lots of money has never stopped coaches from trying to protect their image and rep when things get...bad by throwing folks under the bus for the mess that was made by them.
  3. anywho. I said my piece on not wanting Watson as the risk is too great. now, I got some never lost gifs to post about PJ Walker to get to.
  4. I agree they they don't presently have any intention of it. Because Hou did the job. Nice and easy for them. you trade him? a team wants to play him? non-football media will flip their lid. It would a media storm. NFL hates horrible press. Imagine a team attempting that having that circus dominating NFL news. NFL will promptly place him on the exempt list. The NFL doesn't need Watson.
  5. what in the world leads you to believe the commisioner won't put him on the exempt list this year if a team attempted to play him? No need for the exempt list when Hou did it themselves. and yeah, same applies next year. That's when the court stuff is going to come up. Once it all settles? He will get suspended next year. Even if not guility of the worst accusations? He is getting suspended for his actions. How many games? Can't predict that. That makes his first full season 2023.
  6. tell me how he plays? Only reason he isn't on the exempt list right now is because the Texans have done it for the NFL. He isn't going to play this year if traded. And next year is when all the court stuff goes down. And then eventually the NFL will suspend him for games. And we can't even guess how many that will be because we don't know what the current eviroment will dictate it to be. This is a long way from being over for Watson. So yeah, you are trading away all that draft capital to finally get a full season from him in 2023. And then you don't even know if you would want to pull for him and be the face of your team when the time comes..... just not worth it. But yeah, he can ball.
  7. I'm one of the biggest Clemson homers on the board and folks poo emojing me being out on giving up the farm for a guy that likely won't be able to play in 2021 or 2022. Then in 2023 you are forced to be a Steeler fan defending Big Ben's bathroom incident? Yeah, here is another post for you to poo. This would be our franchise continuing to make worse and worse and worse mistakes in regards to the QB spot under Tepper. The risk/reward simply isn't worth the draft captial. Sam Darnold and a disappointing season/Rhule era is blinding folks.
  8. Football is football. A season like this will demand sacrifces to the football gods. Tepper having his back won't change that. That's just the NFL. Tepper is going to want butts in the seat. Merch off the shelves. Tepper needs the masses to believe a successful rebuild is in the works. Just life of the NFL. If things stay the current course, people will lose jobs. Fair or unfair, blame is going to be placed on select folks as they exit.
  9. Rhule knows he is about to have to go into mitgation mode in the near future for the clusterfug of a season he is about to have. That's what is becoming clear by the why he is tweaking his talking. He is going to have to start throwing people under the bus for his own sake. That's what NFL guys do. What bodies and when will be the question. Which story for the blame will make him look the least bad.
  10. but my arguement isn't about being better than Sam. If the season is lost, let's go ahead and prevent Rhule from bringing back more mistakes. If Rhule starts PJ and he is as bad as you say? Well, it prevents from bringing him back his Temple guy as backup for a 3rd straight season. Why not clear out as much pointless weight in a pointless season as possible? if we never start PJ, Rhule has the argument that PJ did his job the one time when called upon to actually do it. The Lions game. Why not take it away from him.
  11. Narrator of the Matt Rhule documentary in a couple years "but he never let them know"
  12. well, if Rhule starts PJ.... then it actually has the question answered. If he sucks super bad? Well, it will be out there for everyone to see. Then he can't be the backup in year 3. but Rhule can play the same card everyone else in the PJ camp does with PJ if he doesn't start him. Well, when they did start him, the Panthers found a way to win. That's his job. His job isn't superman duty when getting your tails kicked.
  13. you start evaluting who should even be on the roster and be taking up space. PJ is our backup for the 2nd year and row. Well, go find out if he actually should have the backup gig. Get that answered for the world to see. You started him once in place an injured QB and manged to win with him that time. Pretend Sam is hurt from sucking so bad and see if you can manage to find a way to win an actual game with him. Give him two starts. If you can't? Well, don't keep bringing him back as backup anymore. Now everyone knows you need a starter and a backup. then take a look at the practice squad kid at some point. See if you should even have them there. See if he shows some potential. What's the point of starting Sam? There is no point. At least if you look at the others....there is no more pretending/assuming if they should be back either. It just gets it all answered.
  14. I think the right move is to start PJ if this current trend continues. A prepped start for a game is just different than late game pass only duty while down. And in PJ's start.....we moved the ball. We aren't moving the ball. At all. You could break out the dang triple option for all I care. I am under no illusion PJ is good or will be. But to say he can't at least move the ball better than what Sam has done the last 3 starts minus 1 quarter? I don't buy. Bad QBs that shouldn't start can move the ball better than what Sam has done the past 3 games with Sam (minus the Vikings 4th q). So I am not firmly back where I was last year. If we are going to lose, I think PJ would be more entertaining. So that is what I think we should do. And he is aggressive enough downfield it would at least be entertaining. Good football isn't on table.
  15. I think the Jets are the only team that ever actually expressed interest in Matt Rhule. Rest was just media talk. We seem to be in this weird space when it comes to the Jets. We need to coach they wanted. We need their QB. Their WR. Maybe whatever the Jets think, have touched, etc......we should stay far far away from.
  16. moments after the game he quickly made it known Darnold was starting next week and every game after that. That it wasn't an actual benching. He didn't want people to think that. Sounds pretty coddling to me.
  17. you can't have a horrible run blocking OL....and then want to play smash mouth football. All you do is what you have done over and over. Have zero offense. Hang your D out to try quarter after quarter. you are forced into a pass/run balance Matt beause your team can't do either well. So you need whatever edge not being preditable has. And you passed on almost every 3rd and short you saw Sunday. 3rd and 2 over and over and you kept passing on it.
  18. Daniel Jones is a better QB than Sam Darnold. And yeah, Daniel Jones sucks. Most of their points weren't a product of creative offensive playcalling. It was a product of our O setting them up. Last 3 scoring drives by the Giants....they averaged 23 yards a drive. 23. You shouldn't get points on 3 consecutive drives where you average 23 yards. They had a saftey too. Daniel Jones is better behind a bad OL than Sam Darnold. That was the game. And he is better than Sam.
  19. go back and look at the cast Aaron Rodgers played wtih in 2020 and 2019 when Adams got hurt. That's why he was about to walk away from football. Point was, that is what great QB does. It fixes things. That's what good QB play does. Bad QBs, makes bad signfincatly worse. That's Sam. I don't get the playcalling drum. Not in terms of how loud it is being hit. Even if we had a good OC, you can't scheme around a bad QB and horrible OL in the NFL. Maybe on a random week vs weak compeition but overall any OC would look bad with that.
  20. Rodgers makes it look like they have more than they do and has for awhile. That’s kind the issue he has been pouting about in large part of late he has had one legit WR. Who hasn’t always been healthy in terms of receiving threats.
  21. but he is showing he help decrease the odds of overall team success. He is doing his inexcusable clean pocket throw thing.
  22. you really struggle with taking a message board way too serious boss. It just seems like a poor hire by Rhule. I mean, would you hire Mike Shula to lead a high power pass attack? No. Would be be a decent hire if your intention was to run the ball down someone's throat? Sure. Joe Brady is a pass heavy guy. And not a dink and dunk guy. And a green one at that. If you were going to bring Joe Brady in....you better of been ready to let him aggressively air it out and have the talent for that to be on the table. Otherwise, what's the point. He is too green to be suppose to figure out how to make Sam Darnold and this OL function. Even a good OC would ultmiately fail and not have consistent results with that.
  23. Cool beans. You could just say you have no actual defense of Matt Rhule in the future.
