  1. We would be 6-2 with a very average yet efficient QB. Sam isn’t being asked to be Brees. Sam can’t do basics which ends up putting more and more stress on the O (thus himself) We would be 6-2 with freaking Teddy.
  2. Baker is still on a rookie deal. He actually isn’t being paid to be great right now. OBJ is paid to be great. Which he isn’t. He isn’t a great NFL WR. He is just a talented guy. and if it is all a Baker problem, why is it just OBJ that stands out as not working? Goes back IMO to why he ended up Clev to begin with
  3. I don’t think the argument is Baker doesn’t deserve legit criticism. but that isn’t what 89 was actually doing. Again, 89 was talking about OBJ. And if you want to talk about why OBJ was in Clev to begin with and is now out…..well that largely is a OBJ discussion. Baker a side note. But crickets from 89 actually on OBJ.
  4. Sam Darnold isn’t good at playing QB though. There is a long long long list of guys with better raw physical talent than Tom Brady and they can’t even occupy a practice squad spot. The want of going to a run offense is because Sam isn’t a starting caliber QB. That isn’t much of a debate anymore. Mac Jones wouldn’t die. He processes things quick and can get the ball out. His physical tools give him a low ceiling. But he already is a better QB than Sam. That helps a OL. Bad QBs like Sam make OLs worse.
  5. Oh yeah, forget to add. Jets finished as the #7 D that year too. they most defiantly weren’t poo top to bottom in 2019. People just breaking their backs and rewriting history to defend Sam
  6. 2019 was the last season the Jets attempted to win with Sam. And no, it wasn’t poo top to bottom. They weren’t the Cowboys but they weren’t the 2020 Jets either. They went 7-9. They actually were trying in 2019. Bell was still a 1300 all around yard RB. They had Crowder, Robbie, and D. Thomas as the top 3 WRs. That’s not a great cast but most defiantly wasn’t poo. They gave up on Sam after that.
  7. Agreed. Reports were it was a legit injury though. And that was essentially the hit.
  8. Sam’s worst game was in 2019. His best season. And that 2019 offensive group around him wasn’t horrific. and yeah, and injured throwing shoulder Sam that hasn’t practiced thrown out vs Bill? I’d take Clausen over that. If you take most of the pass out and can simply add PJ to the running game…that makes him better than Sam this week. If Sam is a pass only QB with a hurt throwing arm that can’t be run? That’s not better than a properly game planned PJ.
  9. he has a shoulder injury to his throwing arm. Matt Rhule shouldn’t coach in the NFL if he does that with his players.
  10. I wouldn’t even put that Giants game in a top 10
  11. Have you watched Sam of late here? or his games vs Bill? yeah, I’d say him being hurt and not practicing matters. You gonna run Sam with with an injured throwing shoulder? Sam sucks. PJ sucks. Rhule sucks. The play is PJ. And all 3 should be exposed for what they all are. Not just Sam.
  12. Sam didn’t practice all week and has an injured throwing shoulder. Not sure how you start Sam vs Bill with that.
  13. If Menshew walked into our locker room he immediately becomes the best QB in the building. And the entire team would have known that. That’s why we didn’t bring Menshew in. Because it highlights what a poor job this FO did with the QB spot…and then Rhule has to answer every presser about Menshew.
  14. 89 and Jake are tight. They were super tight in Carolina. 89 wasn’t poo talking Jake after that week 1 game. That was 89 trying to comfort his buddy.
  15. 89 even has admitted he is an asshole. What more do you need.
  16. 34%, 86 pass yards, 4 INTs, 1 FL, 1 safety and a 33-0 ass kicking. That’s your HOFer vs Belichick. Let’s make a friendly board bet that PJ does better in only his 2nd NFL start than that. PJ sucks. Some of y’all have dug in so deep on Sam that I guess you feel you got no way out of it. But this type Sam talk is lunacy.
  17. That’s a weird way to state you intentionally deceived people and broke rules the entire league is following.
  18. You could easily argue the Beckham decline started after that. And his decline is largely injury and it coming to light what sits on top of his shoulders. But Norman was part of the window where Beckham essentially became exposed as a problematic player. Talent alone? Every team would love Beckham. But a lof things, largely Beckham have exposed what sits on his shoulders. And teams ain't lining up for that. That's why ended up in Clev in the first place.
  19. Got to think Sam is the proud owner of worst QB performance ever against Belichick.
  20. Sam’s worst game vs Belichick 34% comp, 86 passing yards, 0 TDs, 4 INTs, 1 FL and took a safety. 33-0 loss. I’m going to say PJ has legit potential to be better than that on Sunday. You know what, it’s getting the never before given Stone Cold Lock CRA Guarantee of the Week!! PJ will do better than that.
  21. The Sam Darnold bar vs Bill Belichick. 53% completion percentage, 173 pass yard average, 2.6 turnovers per game, 0.33 TDs per game I guess we will see how PJ stacks up vs that. I think he is up to the task of being in the ballpark of Sam Darnold vs Bill.
  22. DJ #3 in the NFL in recieving first downs DJ #1 in your heart
  23. some delay QB draws. If PJ gets one on one on the outside, he should definately put one or two up. What you don't want PJ doing is going over the middle and trying to figure out the traffic. Run. Get creative running. And when the Patriot give him one on one to the outside.....you got to let him attack that vertically on occasion.
  24. Only way to win is for the D to play great and us not turn it over. PJ will have to make some passes downfield and use his legs for us to get a win. Try to keep him in the 20 pass attempt window but you are going to need him to go downfield some. Try to keep those shots to the sideline. If we pull out a win, I actually would wager that little Viking RB we picked up would be a key to the victory. Gonna need a little backfield playmaking happening.
  25. this always gets weird though. The if a player does X with that team then somehow that means he would be doing the same here. Hell, just look at Fields the one game Nagy was forced to miss from COVID and wasn't allowed to call the plays for fields. He basically looked like the dude everyone thought the Bears were getting to work with. I don't know how Fields would look here. But Nagy and the Panthers would be doing different things with Fields.
