  1. Cam had one legit bad game. Miami. That’s it. Cam isn’t the problem. Matt Rhule’s OL and offensive play calling is. yeah, he had a pick 6 on Sunday but that was more of a great defensive call play. QBs sometimes just aren’t going to see defenders. The defensive call was perfect.
  2. Depends on the HC. If Rhule is still here he should be forced by GM/owner to draft OL new HC? I would be fine with a QB being on play. If there isn’t one worth the pick then OL
  3. Would like to see a Urban/Rhule matchup. It’s like the inverse of the Super Bowl. But there would be some entertainment value in the slop
  4. that generally doesn’t involving crying on social media because you can’t own the fact you can’t get past 5 wins. Matt Rhule is like a disease. It’s spreading.
  5. this is why Cam should of never been cut. Cam always has and has had the right mentality about football. Rhule’s culture is bunk. Win. It’s all that matters. And if you don’t, it’s your fault. That’s basically always been Cam’s motto. And even back in the day when carried the team on his back he took all the blame and gave it to himself. And if you aren’t about that? Cool. Don’t play pro ball.
  6. A grocery bagger isn’t in the entertainment business. He isn’t paid millions. He didn’t take a job to perform and entertain in front of the world. Brown did. sounds like Brown is pretty clueless about what his job actually is. Which also speaks to the culture Matt Rhule doesn’t have in the building.
  7. new GM was part of bringing in, banking on and picking up Sam’s option. as far as I am concerned, giving him the power is like having Nixon instead of Brady over the offense.
  8. So….why did we pay Cam Newton to be here? If you are going to have a 2 or 3 man QB rotation to finish out the season?
  9. Hill came in essentially for a gadget run package. A variation of pulling a QB to run the wildcat IMO. I wouldn't say that is what we saw with PJ.
  10. What we were sold What we realized we have What will happen if he remains
  11. Oh, I think Urban is worse. But it's nice to see national guys acknowledging how bad Rhule is.
  12. Every NFL head coach knows more about football than us. That doesn't mean NFL coaches don't do idiotic things that even a middle school coach would shake their head over. Hell, in the moment, how many NFL coaches can't even manage timeouts and a playclock properly at the end of a game?
  13. Matt Rhule punted from the opponents 30 this year. That’s what your 70 million dollars gets you.
  14. SF, Pitt and now tonight….Justin Fields has really started to show some promise as he has gotten into the season.
  15. 8 minutes left and 3 minutes are just two completely different scenarios. I would support going for 2 in other scenarios outside of the one we found ourselves in today.
  16. yep. We scored that TD with 3 minutes remaining. the argument set out above in the article is if you are down 15 in the middle of the 4th quarter. Which is more than twice the time we had. You have time to deal with the consequences of not converting. A bad Panther offense doesn’t have the time to deal with not converting with 3 minutes on the clock and needing two scores.
  17. I might could of accepted it if there was more time. We scored that TD with 3 minutes left in the game. We just don’t have the O for that.
  18. DBO. Lost in all the 2pt talk is all the other Matt Rhule stamp of horrible football that was all over that game.
  19. That’s a blog post by an unknown guy that essentially claims Steve Spurrier is the only guy who gets it. analytics call it a push. They don’t call for 2 there for everyone. But who you are as football team and your game then has to factor. Our O sucks. We are defensive dependent on them to make plays.
  20. it was literally discussed live on air during the game. nothing about this current Panther squad and our O…..suggests going for 2 then is the smart call. Pure analytics isn’t football. We also talked earlier this week about how we were overcommitted to it and it likely impacting play calling effectiveness.
  21. Analytics call it a push I believe down 9. that’s when being a good football coach comes in. Specifically who your team is. And we have very horrible offense. so you kick the XP. One score game. Cam was coming in cold after basically being benched. Fail and you would then be asking a very bad offense to orchestrate two more drives. and given the poo play calls they had late….they weren’t going to pull off two drives. Same poo calls we saw under Joe Brady. And Rhule was up there praising his new playcaller.
