I'm okay with the largely being hired together too though. Almost a package deal. They need the same overall vision. And you can't force it. You can't make a guy think X if he believes Y in his heart in terms of football. That's the Matt Rhule approach of building a coaching staff. You need a GM/HC that value the same things. That also are working on the same timeline. Two that are willing to go through a legit rebuild together. That never seemed to be the case with Rhule + Hurney or Rhule + Fitt. Nothing about this team actually said we were really going to build this team from the ground up.

You got the warning for calling someone an “idiot” as you went about posting your position. you seem to have some pretty big blinders on why you got your hand slapped. No mods give a poo about you bashing Rhule/Tepper/McAdoo/anyone else. And you don’t bash all those guys as well or as often as many of the mods of this forum have been doing.

You weren’t a given a warning for disagreeing or thinking Fitt should get fired. Those things by themselves are perfectly fine. You can’t bluntly insult people while doing it. It’s not an overly complex concept.

I think Fitt needs to be shown the door. I want a new HC/GM. I can’t stand keeping one of the two. HC and GMs in large part should be married. Hurney should of gone with Ron. Fitt should go now. Rare examples when I am cool keeping the GM after you fire the HC. If a coach chooses to retire or something and you are promoting from within then I am cool with it. Fitt hasn’t been good here either. And he has no resume where you can excuse everything and put it all on Rhule. Maybe it is. But it’s not worth the gamble. He shouldn’t of taken the job if he has no actual power/role. He made horrible adds and managed our draft capital poorly. we need a real vision. And a new GM/HC should have that.

I think the end of the presser showed the real Tepper. Beginning of it was him playing the role he was prepped to display. Did he sound humbled and defeated at the end of the presser? Issue with Tepper is he isn't going to sell the team and he is the one person we are stuck with. So while he probably is problem #1 he is one problem we can't expect to change any time soon. We need a good HC/GM combo. Simple as that. A combo that can deal with a bad owner and mitigate it.

I mean, my position essentially remains the same. If you don't have a QB or OL.....you shouldn't spend a top 10 pick on a DB. saying that was never about Horn being a good DB prospect. Jags hit it out of the park with Ramsey too. Doesn't equate to wins.

Shaq isn’t a bust. He is a solid LB. Shaq is following in the footsteps of Luke, Davis, Beason and Morgan. Solid LB play isn’t what we are accustomed to and for the first time in a LONG time we don’t have an elite LB.

I mean to an extent he is being taken out of context IMO. It’s a one sentence soundbite. QB is the biggest difference in terms of which rebuilds are the furthest ahead. Wentz just arrived in Washington. NY, Dal, Philly all have established QB rooms. Even the backup in Dallas has been in the system for years.

McAdoo is bad. Rhule put his thumbprint on everything though. I have said it for years now. so if you have a bad QB, Rhule makes him worse. If you have a bad or weak OC, Rhule makes them worse. Rhule made McAdoo worse. But McAdoo sucked coming in.

The OC job was essentially most likely a one year gig where you were going to look bad. That was the job opening and everyone knew. McAdoo was the only taker because even bad teams wouldn’t hire him. Rhule simply had no real options. No one young and promising was going to take the stock hit of coming here for a year and going backwards

I mean if you are a coach that wants to run and play D. That what you would want over a McAdoo/Brady. Shula had a great run scheme. I’m not making an argument that is what a modern day NFL coach should want. It’s a passing/offensive era. But that is what Rhule and success doing in college and claims To want to be.

I mean Rhule didn’t want McAdoo. He declined him 2x for lesser roles. McAdoo was simply all he could get when he had to hire an OC. The league casted him out from playcalling because he was horrible. I’m sure Rhule is thrilled his OC sucks and is worse than the newb he fired. and Rhule keeps hiring OCs that go against what he “does” and has had success. He needs a Mike Shula type. But he can’t even follow his own words
