  1. Well, I would put him in because I don’t think longevity should carry tremendous weight. It’s why Megatron is a first ballot. It’s why I think Luke should get in with a short career. Cam has never compared to any QB in the modern era. He is the greatest rushing threat from the QB position in NFL history IMO. And Cam lead the era of the mobile college QBs being normalized in today’s NFL. So I’d put him in. But I won’t be shocked if he doesn’t get in. I wouldn’t put my money on it
  2. I don’t think 89 is a first ballot guy. But I’d love to hear the Andre Johnson argument of being a finalist over him. 89 has him in yards and TDs. 89 has his postseason resume and his special team resume all added on top of that. Andre Johnson has what? The best on field fight?
  3. I’d put him in. Too unique not to. But I also understand who votes. And those people have enjoyed trashing Cam since Auburn.
  4. It’s his verified Twitter but who cares. I mean I personally wouldn’t be liking that tweet where my wife could see it. That would be idiotic. But that’s Matt for you. *But I do be liking that tweet.
  5. Megatron walked away in his prime and had a short career. Not sure I could name 5 guys that were actually better though. it’s the Luke argument IMO. Should lesser LBs have an edge over Luke getting in simply because they grind out years Luke opted not to…and have 7 more years worth of stats over Luke? But never were even close to Luke as a LB?
  6. I’ve always felt Peppers would be the only first ballot guy in Carolina. I’d put 89, Cam and Luke all in though. As far as drafted guys.
  7. Rhule probably thought he was on his burner account. And I’m sure he has one.
  8. *89 has Andre Johnson in yards and TDs. Plus his pro bowl special team work. That’s a dig at 89 by voters just not liking the personality. Wayne and Holt got rings and previously were finalist. So they aren’t as big of deal but Johnson?
  9. Sam Mills and Jared Allen are finalist 89 didn’t make the cut. 3 first year guys did make the cut. Ware. Hester. And…….Andre Johnson. Holt, Wayne, Johnson are the 3 WRs. Hester too but we all know he is a ST HOFer. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nfl.com/_amp/finalists-for-pro-football-hall-of-fame-class-of-2022-revealed
  10. I can't get over this one. This is like Rhule saying we had an excellent pass attack earlier this season. This staff is literally just making up stuff and acting like people can't see.
  11. Peppers statiscally might be the GOAT by a fair margin as is....if you look at the position from a well rounded aspect. Because he is top 5 in basically everything. The others aren't.
  12. I don't want new uniforms under Matt Rhule. Probably get this in neon orange
  13. Peppers is top 5 all time in sacks, forced fumbles and INTs by a DE in NFL history. If it was a tracked stat then you probably could add FG blocks too. hard to call him underachieving. He simply had the same demeanor that DJ Moore has. And people see that and claim that must mean less effort than a guy that shows emotion. Peppers is our hall of fame lock by a large margin
  14. It’s not protecting Cam. It was discussed when we signed Cam about how Rhule likely would burn him in the end. Because Rhule didn’t want him. can’t wait for Cam to one day retire. Take off his professional hat. And keep it a buck.
  15. and we don’t even have a C. The guy forced to touch the ball every snap and get it to a QB committee. Saints should win this one with ease
  16. Reports were the Jets specifically took issue with Rhule wanting to bring in an all college staff. Yes, Rhule didn’t want Greg Williams. But I always took it that the primary deal breaker was Rhule not being willing to break away from his all college staff. Not that it had to be Williams.
  17. Saints are expecting Hill back per reports
  18. Tepper got duped. Matt Rhule got two or so NFL interviews for the same reasons Joe Brady got them. NFL teams interview coaches that aren’t really qualified but are talked about. All NFL interviews aren’t that serious. The Jets essentially deemed Rhule unqualified and sent him back to college. Tepper/Hurney could of let Rhule get on that plane to NY. Giants weren’t going to hire him once they heard his masterplan for bringing his Baylor/Temple staff
  19. And Saban has pro experience too. So in a Bama/Panther matchup. I’m taking Saban in terms of HCs.
  20. He didn’t turn around Baylor. Baylor was a good program. 7 straight winning seasons prior to Rhule. Most of them double digits. Made it into the top 10 in each of the 4 seasons before prior to Rhule. yes, Baylor got punished and hammered. Yes, Rhule was there while they took that punishment. But they simply went right back to being Baylor. Big 12 champs before and after Rhule. Rhule gets way too much credit for that IMO.
  21. Matt Rhule’s staff doesn’t have more sophisticated game planning and scheming vs Bama. I agree with most NFL teams there would be a massive difference though. It’s like if Bama’s staff all went to the pros….they suddenly don’t get a bump as more sophisticated because of the new job titles. that’s the main problem with our O. Rhule’s staff can’t gameplan and scheme at this level IMO.
  22. We would win easily. Our D would overwhelm Bama. I think when you watched the highlight tape. Bama would have a few downs where their D on a occasion won downs vs our offense. The OL is that weak and Bama has enough soon to be NFL talent. And as stated above, Bama has the edge in coaching.
