Panthers terminating Rock Hill project agreements
CRA replied to Dorian Gray's topic in Carolina Panthers
RH officials said the Panthers in reality were holding up the bonds and then told them to not issue them as they (the Panthers) wanted to seek additional alternatives (which I assume was the county and state). Think that claim is pretty well documented. I linked it early in this thread. I'll try to find the exact quote from the County on the informal solution but paywalls make googling a little harder. I think it got it off twitter so I'll take a look there. The way he framed it wasn't that it was just an offer but that Teppers folks were brought in for it and it was agreed to as a solution. Just never formalized. Tepper then went dark after they worked it up together. Might not be true. But I think the RH taxpayers deserve to know about the bonds and the YC taxpayers deserve to know about that resolution. The details behind both. -
I suspect, the first time we see Rhule in front of our press will be when talking about draft picks. So all the focus and questions are on the new drafted players.

Enough out there to know RH is going to bare some responsibility in they end for this. Not sure why you are so aggressive in Tepper being 100% cleared of any wrong. Safe bet in life is both won't look great. That's a pretty tame and boring position I am taking. As is the position that once it implodes we get a lot more info and insight than we have had. -
about to start.... has Matt Rhule faced the media since our season ended? The Sam Darnold TC Protection Act seems to be enforced for Rhule.

Vehaun also says the Panthers were falling short on items they were supposed to provide so they city could issue those bonds. That apparently included project development plans. ”And that information isn’t something the city could provide on anyone’s behalf is that correct?” asks Gettys. ”That’s correct,” replies Vehaun. Despite these alleged setbacks, Vehaun says everyone was on the same page and the city was ready to issue the bonds. ”We were honestly two weeks away from issuing the debt when we found out that the Panthers asked us to stop,” he explains. ‘Our absolute and professional best’: City leaders speak out about $200M unpaid bonds in Panthers-Rock Hill facility dilemma (live5news.com) Then you have someone from York County Council said they brought in the Panthers and worked out a deal. But then Tepper went dark and wouldn't make it official. That's not fake news. That just me referencing what the news reported. I'd like to know more about that before I pity Tepper lol. Maybe he was 100% wronged. He hasn't earned that type of assumption IMO. -

Could be lying. But so could the people you are claiming are the absolute truth tellers. I'll still wait for more info to come out before I cry for David Tepper. -

lot of stuff is just one guy saying it though. from what I read the Panthers were brought in and agreed to the deal YC made with them. It wasn't just a proposal. Then had a change of heart. And never signed it. I'd like to know more about that before I give Tepper a total pass on this thing. -

Members of the Council. They said the Panthers were brought and a deal was agreed upon. Then the Panthers changed their minds on it and it never became formal. -

Well there is info York County came in and had a deal the Panthers agreed to and that the Panthers told RH not to issue bonds. That doesn’t sound consistent. RH is clearly going to be in the wrong. I’m not willing to make Tepper an innocent victim at this stage though. -

Huh? That’s not selective. That’s just life/people. when this blows up officially….we get more info. Because the hopes of completing it is gone from the equation. The safe bet is both sides look pretty bad in the end. That ain’t radical or bias. Some folks jumping way too quick on the it is ALL Rock Hill to blame and none to Tepper bandwagon. we still know very little. Later we will know more. It is what it is. Seems knowing more would put us in better position to take a stand on this topic. -

Tepper knowingly and intentionally entered this deal with a city that everyone knew could face some hiccups/issues in regards to the project. Was talked about before it ever started. and we don’t know the facts and talks yet between both parties. It’s silly to go all in on a side being right/wrong IMO right now. I suspect both will rightfully look bad in the end. -

Yeah, people keep acting like we have the facts. We haven’t because the hope of completing the project always existed and you can’t lay it all out there that being the case. The facts on both sides won’t really come out until there is no hope of salvaging it. Then it comes out. Which we look to be nearing. -

Reports were York County did. once this thing officially blows up we should start to get some clarification on some things and what actually went on. I don’t think the full truth of all the talks is on the table yet. It will be once there is officially no chance in it being saved -

"we are prepared to sit down with the City and other interested parties to discuss the significant challenges ahead" Tepper about to rob SC or just hold TC in Charlotte until further notice I bet. No reason TC can't be held in Charlotte. Only reason to have it elsewhere is for fans. -
true. I mean, in a sane org that move would signal an OT at #6. But this is a Matt Rhule lead team. He spent his top 10 pick last season on a CB. And while Horn is a fine player.....we also went out and signed the 2nd best DB in all the NFL and a top 10 draft pick from the year prior right after it. We had too many other glaring needs to use that top pick on a CB last season but Rhule is going to Rhule.

he has been in a better situation. But bad situations aren't uncommon in the NFL. How good or bad your QB is has a lot to do with how your situation ultimately looks in the end too. Coaches have their stock go up and down because of the QB as well. but I wouldn't call Baker's rookie season an ideal scenario. He is just a more taletned QB than Sam Darnold by a margin it isn't really worth comparing them as players. And Baker still isn't good.
-
Yeah, but that is a weird comparison given what Cam was in 2021. He came in off the streets for the 2nd half of the season….and Rhule basically only have gave him 3 full games as QB. I think Cam is done but if he was prepped in the O to be the dude like Sam was….he is better than Sam. and a broken Cam averaged more TD passes per pass attempt than Sam by pretty good margin. I still don’t know if Sam is actually better than PJ

Who is the second best tackle/left tackle in franchise history?
CRA replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
when on the field and healthy? Otah. career in Carolina? My money would be on Moton ending up w/ the 2 spot. That obviously OTs in general. just left side? Wharton IMO is underrated since he was primarily a OT. He is my #3 on my all time OL in Carolina list. -
REPORT: Panthers have the inside track to trade for Baker Mayfield

Jimmy G is more Teddy than Sam though IMO. But he is just as pointless as Teddy and Sam. seems like such a Matt Rhule move though

Robby Anderson wants Panthers to work out Colin Kaepernick
CRA replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think parting with both is the better option. I’d rather rep someone else at WR than Robby. Maybe TMJ is or isn’t the answer….but I still wish we never paid Robbie and let him walk. -
Todd McShay - Rhlue "won't be crying when the two sides part ways"
CRA replied to trueblade's topic in Carolina Panthers
I assume because we have unsuccessful owner, HC and GM. Coming off 3 straight 5 win seasons as an org. We are not presently an attractive landing spot *GM gets lumped in too because he isn’t proven either
