  1. Hopefully Joe Person and Sheena are there. Those are about the only two that push the envelope these days. and yes, I said Joe Person. He has been better since moving to the Athletic.
  2. Horn was discussed here at least. He was actually my worst case scenario prediction the day before the draft. Because I thought the Seattle GM would be overly focused on trying to mimic what lead to Seattle's success.
  3. He is better. Jimmy is more on par with Teddy. Teddy was better than Sam. None of the 3 are the answer for anyone though. Well, Jimmy and Teddy actually are ideal backup QBs.
  4. Corral is a day 2 player. OL is the most important puzzle piece. I got no issue with BC. But he has a ceiling and thankfully flexibility. The OTs at the top of this draft have potential BC doesn’t.
  5. swap firsts and a 2nd and 3rd make up the value difference and then some if you believe the trade value charts. that's going off the 15th pick
  6. he had a good OL in college. he still did all the dumb stuff back then just like he does in the pros. Sam was a turnover panic machine from the very start. It's not the OL creating Sam being dumb. Sam always has done that from the very beginning. Bad OLs didn't make him bad. He was always what he is.
  7. OT out of Bama to make the Pro Bowl? I think was Chris Samuel. Drafted 22 years ago. I mean, that does say something.
  8. if someone like Evan Neal drops to #6? That's a better situation. Because he is a better LT prospect than either of those 2.
  9. Imagine a stud LT falls to #6.....and they trade back to pick up someone who largely projects as a RT just to get 2nd round pick to make up for other bad moves by the front office.
  10. I think the absurd QB line was something he hopes to use when they draft a QB after trading down. And one of them will 100% be there because they aren't good enough prospects to go high. Claim they got the QB later that they deemed #6 worthy. this is an org that knows they look like schmucks. They are going to go about this draft to hopefully attempt some damage control to how bad they look. Which isn't what you want to see. There is no way they can put Matt Rhule out there and only have an OT in the first 3 rounds to show for it. Rhule needs distractions. OT isn't enough. Desperate teams do dumb things.
  11. I think they will basically give the #6 away if it comes to it. They want to trade down. It's pretty clear. And I think the 2 QBs we would consider at 6 is just said so they can draft one later in a trade down and make the bold claim he was totally one of the guys they felt comfortable drafting at #6. There are not 2 QBs who any sane team should feel cool with drafting at 6. That's just lighting BPA on fire and being desperate if it were true.
  12. if you can't put your HC out there because of his job as football coach...... he shouldn't be your football coach. It's pretty simple. Tepper I guess is what he is. He owns it and he can't fire himself.
  13. They are going to trade down. Draft a QB in the first. Claim he was one of the QBs they had a top 10 grade on and would have drafted at #6. Which is bunk, none of these guys are that good to be viewed as such. Pick up a 2nd rounder. Who won't be a great OT.
  14. this is the guy who just traded away all the picks from this class. Clearly, protecting future picks isn't something he has cared about.
  15. noticed how he skipped over that 2nd round pick. and 4th. The Darnold ones.
  16. he should of asked why the Jets were drafting Zach Wilson and watched some taped.
  17. Got to think by this show.... Fitt is trading out of 6 to try to gain back a bunch of picks...that he traded all away. It's going to be hard to roll Matt Rhule out there when all they have to talk about is 1 player after the top 3 rounds end. Panthers really seem of late they are more focused on how their bad coach and owner look
  18. Tepper and Rhule are in an underground bunker. Hiding. Just embarrassing.
  19. lot of big time college programs are slapping knee braces on everyone on the OL. All of the Alabama linemen take part in what is known as prophylactic bracing. So do most of the linemen for Clemson, which will face Alabama here in the national championship game on Monday night. So do the big men at Louisiana State. And at Florida. And at Ohio State. Michigan made a rule about bracing just this past season. And, lest it seem like a top-tier-only phenomenon, the behemoths at North Texas do it, too. Colleges Swear by Football Knee Braces. Not All Players and Experts Do. - The New York Times (nytimes.com)
  20. knee braces on college OL isn't a red flag in itself though. They are slapping them on everyone.
  21. chatter might just be some team looking to get him to fall a slot or two to snag him. he might be my favorite OT
