  1. and frankly their WRs too. Unless you just want depth and roleplayers. No one has really panned out post Keyshawn and I always thought he was overrated.
  2. I mean they all are dirtbags. Jimbo was just accused a couple years back of sorts of stuff. Hard to rise to the ranks of the most elite college programs and not be a seedy dirtbag. Except for Dabo. And if you disagree, Dabo and I will pray for your lost soul. You're welcome. Think it actually is easier for a decent man to be NFL coach than at a top tier college program.
  3. the rule is often great players make bad coaches if you look at GOAT coaches that played....they normally weren't very good. If you look at GOAT players that coached...they normally sucked
  4. QBs with weaker physical tools have gone to situations just as bad....and performed better. Sam is an athlete. Not a QB. Simple as that. Thinking you can make him one just isn't going to happen. Not when his physical tools would limit him to being a traditional pocket passer.
  5. The college football playoff era also has gotten boring. Unless you are a fan of a handful of teams. put Bama, Clemson, OSU, ND, OU and the top 3 SEC schools in a hat. Draw names. Pull at random and you would be pretty good psychic for the final 4.
  6. I would think it would just help the major programs separate even further and not actually aid smaller programs. and the college football playoff era is already is coming down to just a handful of teams. I would think if the NIL doesn’t change….while the teams might change the top from what they are now, the couple teams that emerge will create even more separation. everyone hates Dabo and Saban. And a lot of it is just. But they have been making a lot of good points about NIL, the portal, etc.
  7. they generate the most money in all of college football
  8. The richest school just secured the #1 recruiting class of all time….thanks to “NIL”. Yes, pay for play has always happened and yes the rich have always benefited from it in college sports. The introduction of NIL is just a new version on steroids. Therefore it gets even more extreme. Saban speaks the truth. There just happens to be some hypocrisy in it given Bama is saying it….and were one of the lead dogs of the older model.
  9. If Minshew isn’t better than Sam Darnold….then what measurement would someone use to make the case for Sam. statistically across the board Minshew is better and he did it with Jags.
  10. Oh I wasn’t implying it hasn’t always existed. It has. Bama had mastered the old system for example. Which basically what this Saban/Jimbo beef is IMO. The new version? Well someone like A&M does have new advantages now. Which he isn’t happy about. Now it’s more cash. A lot more. And they don’t really have to hide it. They just use the NIL cover.
  11. The NIL in theory is good. But what presently exists at big schools now isn’t really that. It’s just pay for play. With a lot more cash and not in secret. NIL does need some work.
  12. Saban didn’t even accuse Jimbo, the players, etc of doing something illegal or wrong. Jumbo’s rant was against an accusation that wasn’t actually made. LOL. Jimbo is just mad Saban outed what the wealthiest college did and what is going to continue to happen. And Jimbo is going to want it to stay that way for him to reap the benefits. Saban wants the rules/NIL changed.
  13. Sam Darnold is basically the WR that runs a 4.2 at the combine yet can't really run routes or catch well. Yet instead of him disappearing quitely out of the league..... they keep putting him back out on the field depsite it being extremely clear he isn't actually good at football at this level. I mean, there is actually no purpose of Sam Darnold being on our roster at this point.
  14. if you hadn't eaten in 3 days...you would probably get hype over a random box of rasins you found. that's kinda how things are in Carolina world of late. Minshew is exciting....after watching Sam Darnold.
  15. Teddy is basically Tyrod though. They both have basically the exact same edge over him in the W/L department and TD/INT department. I know hating Teddy is hip here. And he isn't good. But he is still better than Sam Darnold.
  16. I mean the Tyrod thing is pretty weird. Maybe he is factoring his recent health. I guess that could make sense. He clearly should be above Sam Darnold based on careers to date. Tyrod has a winning record as a starter and pretty much better everything statisically.
  17. Michigan was in the college football playoffs last season. Harbaugh just signed a 5 year contract extension 2 months ago. Michigan beat Ohio St and Penn St last year. Just pulled the #5 QB per rivals from the 2021 class.
  18. but again, props to the social media team. I'm sure that young lady that left was underpaid. Followers on social media apparently was the 2nd metric that went into it. but if anyone walked into Arrowhead and then walked into BOA lol
  19. also in regards to Wilson finding success. Seattle was a top 5 rushing offense in each of his first 3 seasons. Seattle's D was also top 10 in points allowed in each of his first 3 seasons. Success and development so often is, situation > talent
  20. Need more legit pass catchers to compete vs the good teams too. Can’t just be DJ Moore. You can’t keep pace with other teams with just DJ. Need to add legit pass catching help whether that is via TE or WR Imagine if DJ Moore missed time. The perceived best WR for the Super Bowl champs wwas Robert Woods heading into the season last year. He ended up missing the season. The Rams were a QB away. We aren’t even close to a roster (minus QB) like that.
  21. Chelsea refuses to play on turf. So Tepper is putting it down just so they they will come play. That’s it. Then the grass goes away after Chelsea.
  22. well, that's not what he meant by doing more for than the community. He means maximizing what he offers to the community...in order to make the most money out of his investment. I mean, the most important thing to him isn't the Panthers winning. The most important thing is maximzing Tepper Sports.
  23. Matt Rhule's wife liked Chubba.
  24. hope to split w/ Atl and NO. That gives you 2 wins. Detriot. That gives you 3 wins. Then hope you pull 3 wins of these 4 - NY, Sea, AZ, Pitt. That gives you 6. But that's why the Vegas line is so good. Because of that last group of 4 teams. By taking the 6 wins you are betting you win most of the coin flip/winnable games. Everyone else is just flat out better than us pending injuries don't alter who they are. And that assumes Watson starts in Clev week 1. but yeah the opening 8 games are crucial for Matt Rhule and there isn't a lot of room for error on the couple winnable games there.
