  1. and there are frankly just a handful of OCs that are really game changers at this level. Overall, most look good or at least competent with a good QB…and then bad pending they have a bad QB. problem with Sam is he can turn a perfectly good play and playcall into a bad down. people keep talking about Eli’s individual numbers vs the prior season and giving McAdoo credit. Eli Manning simply acquired OBJ. And Eli Manning wasn’t a slouch. Post McAdoo, old Eli posted his best completion % of his career and 4th most passing yards with Mike freaking Shula as OC. He had a healthy Barkley and OBJ that year.
  2. I’d still like someone to ask Tepper about his “it’s an 8-8” league” stance. What about our process prevents us from being what the league essentially designs for everyone to get to. Think Tepper basically alluded to each organization dictates where you take that 8-8 team.
  3. McAdoo not really a run heavy guy though and we probably won’t be built to do that except vs weak teams though. The 4 teams in NY all finished bottom half each year and he has a higher pass ratio as a playcaller than our offense to date under Rhule . we have made some good hires. No doubt on that. But some of it will be for waste if Rhule goes outside of whatever one year learning some can get out of it. But that essentially gets to my drum. Tepper keeps managing it all wrong. Marty should of left with Ron. Rhule then married to a new GM. He wasn’t. Now Fitt isn’t married to Rhule. So IMO, a lot of the revamped coaching is just prep for if things go south with Rhule quick next year. Which has decent odds given Sam is still his QB and the schedule. BOA was getting really bad last year before the Cam gimmick this front office pulled. But then you would bring in a new HC with the old GM. GM thinks he has been building something for someone not here anymore. New HC will want and need a different roster. So this whole season just smells of a predictably wasted year that delays building something.
  4. You could probably make the argument if we had a decent secondary Josh Norman gets cut early on and disappears. He was horrific at first. But we didn’t have a lot corners so he would go to the doghouse instead off the team….and we would keep working him. Then somehow became the highest paid DB in the NFL for a brief moment lol.
  5. @SizzleBuzz the above would be another great look for the billionaire of the community I doubt it gets that far. Tepper IMO will attempt to make a deal with someone. But it’s not an easy deal because no one in RH has use for that type structure.
  6. Did you not read his other post? It’s a long process but a city isn’t just going to allow a massive liability (in more ways than one) like the existing structure to stand as it currently does forever. Something would have to happen. There are codes and laws that address it. there you go again, creating Tepper as some fictional character where nothing matters.
  7. I was just curious about that aspect and the reporting could always be off. But the reporting keeps using the same LLC for the purchases near BOA too. https://www.fox46.com/charlotte/david-tepper-llc-purchases-land-near-bofa-stadium-records-show/amp/
  8. Paid to be a leader and motivator of people though. Strong personality types. Perform well in high pressure scenarios. That’s the gig. hard to see how he can do that well when every small market reporter seems to have him fumbling and panicking so consistently to simple questions. Coked out WWE sounding Campbell might be able talk you into running into a brick wall at least once. and the Panthers need better PR folks when it comes to Rhule. He has so many bad appearances out there on camera. If they can’t stop them then they need to start showing some behind the scenes stuff to even it out where he looks the part IMO. And I’ve said for awhile Rhule would help himself by just not talking. And the Panthers do seem to have dialed back how much they put him out front of late.
  9. I mean he is one of the highest paid NFL HCs in the league here to build and lead.
  10. No clue. Tepper got himself into a bad spot. He will probably continue to look bad for awhile on this one. Because he still has the property and community eyesore to deal with. so some folks might drive by the Giant Peach….other will drive by David Tepper busted project.
  11. I don’t really understand all the complexities of bankruptcy at this level or really any level What would bankruptcy mean for all the property purchases by the LLC. Pretty sure the same LLC here is the one buying up the land in Charlotte too isn’t?
  12. It’s 1000% working. You just can’t see it.
  13. I mean, they weren’t asking for the gamelan for an opponent. I mean I think Thomas Davis could answer the question of what type standard he was trying to set. it’s no big deal but Rhule was asked a simple question. He couldn’t answer it because unlike Thomas Davis Rhule is just bullshitting his way through this. He just says he has a process. He just repeats it. Like cut and pasting the Panthers on the Baylor “brand”. Just meaningless words and he was asked about it. And basically confirmed it’s just noise.
  14. That was the question asked. So your answer is Tepper can simply leave up the current abandoned structure as is? I mean there are generally all sorts of codes and laws that deal with that. Because it becomes a MASSIVE liability and problem for the community. Generally, not a quick issue that is resolved but I would assume a resolution to the current state would eventually be forced. It’s like you have created Tepper into this very unique entity where nothing matters. hence why I said in the post I he will likely try to make a deal of some sort with someone. He owns the property. Now there is a problematic structure on it. Biggest problem is it isn’t really the start of something someone there could easily take over and put to use (unique design and obviously cost)
  15. I mean that answer summed up the essence of Matt Rhule the entire 2021 season.
  16. I’ve known some NFL guys. Some just bounce around for a couple years (that’s most guys)….and largely just grinding out very normal jobs like everyone else. Getting in the league alone doesn’t set you up financially let alone your vast extended family. known some that didn’t even like people knowing they played a couple years.
  17. Yeah, I assume Tepper will try to make some deal before the city could forces him to take it down. That’s the next problem he will have to do deal with. Small time one for him though I guess.
  18. Sizzle gone from no one gets screwed to they won’t go belly up lol
  19. Nope. Not currently. And that’s everyone tax dollars wasted right there. Thank the SC Gov for that one. * I mean I guess down the road and future development could make it worthwhile but that is a great unknown.
  20. So, can you just leave an abandoned structure of that nature up?
  21. and it’s part of the plan because it limits Tepper’s financial obligations if things go clusterfug sideways. Which they did. Sizzle argued no one gets screwed. But that’s not true. Generally once it goes this way people don’t get what they are owed. They get some of it.
  22. Well you are interested in having a problem with someone declaring McAdoo a bottom 3rd OC. so if you don’t want the make case he belongs elsewhere than the bottom 3rd ….then why dig in to attacking where I got him. You want to know about Cam Newton’s career? I’d argue someone YOU deemed a knowledgeable Panther fan that watched his career would provide better insight than a random Texan fan who never watched him play…yet pulled some stats. And I did say I was putting a lot of weight into my Giant fan BIL’s breakdown of McAdoo. But that wasn’t all of it. The league has made their position known too. He was rejected year after year for all OC jobs. And was rejected for even most of the QB coach jobs. Only the lowly Jags would bring him in as a QB coach for one season. That’s the league talking. That carries some real weight IMO. There is also the coverage of McAdoo’s entire career as a playcaller/coach by reporters. Which is a muddy bag. And I do some of my own watching and stat looking too. and all that info combined….says he is a bottom 3rd OC and unreasonable expectations are now being put on him and what he is capable of by a select few. He has Matt Rhule and Sam Darnold. And he has a lot of red flags on his own as a coach without being partnered with those two. and I might be wrong. Who knows. It’s happened before plenty. But I’ve never been one to jump on a lot of hype bandwagons that things will be different for known commodities simply because they are now Panthers. People hated I called Teddy a checkdown QB when we signed him. People argued he wouldn’t be. Hated I thought NY Darnold simply was what he was. You might can get me for a new to the league draft pick hype bandwagon but that’s about it.
  23. If Kyle Shanahan got fired today and wanted to come be our QB coach…..should Matt Rhule hire him? I mean it’s hard argue Matt Rhule even liked McAdoo that much. McAdoo interviewed for the QB coach gig in 2020 and 2021 and Rhule said no thanks. Seems like that would be a steal for a QB coach if McAdoo was a really viewed as good OC and QB guru. Rhule didn’t have a lot of realistic options for OC. McAdoo was grabbed out of the pile. Probably the best option of what was realistic. It wasn’t an attractive gig. And this season looks like a forced and unhappy marriage. We are the kids they are trying to put a nice face on for. But kids are generally perceptive enough to see Dave isn’t happy. Rhule isn’t happy. And this staff seems forced on a bumbling coach….and the new staff was designed to be equipped for Rhule to depart. seems like a pointless and wasted year we are about to go through. Change should of been made. That’s my perception.
  24. No he didn’t. He is a 3rd round pick. 3rd round rookie deals are like 800k ish a year and I don’t think contain guaranteed money….and you get that money weekly during the actual season. Then factor in taxes on that. He ain’t taking all that actually home. He ain’t rolling in dough yet. there are huddlers with more cash on hand than Corral right now. People can do what they want with their money. 3 small kids lost their mom. Kids are super expensive. Can’t go around and dismissing the idea that no one needs help because they got an okay 2nd cousin somewhere out there.
