  1. Sounds like the county beef is primarily with Tepper. County is alleging Tepper took and the used their money for purposes outside of their agreement (roads). RH get included largely because the Tepper/RH squabble is what sank the overall project. I think the discovery on the bond issue is going to make both Tepper and RH look pretty bad
  2. nah, again, there are only 32 NFL GM jobs in the entire world. That’s just you doing your weird thing you do. Someone takes X job. Then you claim they must think Y team is great because they did it. There are just 32 of them. The worst one is still a good one . Not saying that is us but whoever it is. There are only 32. Whether we are talking GM or video guy
  3. There are only 32 NFL GM jobs in the world. Might have something to do with that.
  4. Question isn’t about if Horn and Icky can one day be better than 2015 Oher or Tillman. If you replaced Oher and Tillman with the 2 rookies as they are now….would that team be better that particular season is how I interpret the question. Icky this season I don’t believe will be as consistent overall as 2015 Oher. Same with Horn/Peanut. And Peanut was bringing a lot more than just play too. I think Icky will be better than Oher. I just don’t think 2021 Icky steps on the field and is instantly better than 2015 Oher. Who was very solid and consistent that year. And that was what Cam needed to do his thing.
  5. Rookie Icky over 2015 Oher? 2015 Oher was so very solid. Basically rookie Horn over Peanut Tillman? 2015 isn’t going 15-1 and to the Super Bowl any longer when you start making a bunch of those type tweaks. Giving up consistency and a high standard for raw developing talent.
  6. that's not how the beat writers that have covered Rhule have explained it though. the reporting has described Rhule as having a micromanging approach to coaching.
  7. CMC, Moore, Moton. That's all I'm putting onto the 2015 starting O. *Depends what the starting formation is. 2 TE or do I have a slot WR. Robbie is the slot WR if we use that as the starting formation.
  8. I'm not sure WRs is that cut and dry. DJ Moore is the #1 on the 2015 squad. Ted Ginn Jr I think is going to stay on the team and move to the #2 spot.
  9. I mean he was interivewing for OC jobs. He he wasn't getting them. And they weren't great teams. He also inverviewed for QB coach and didn't get those. With bad teams. The Jags (a bad team) did finally give him a job as a QB coach. I mean, maybe the league has it all wrong. But failed HCs generally don't have a hard time falling back into coordinator jobs. McAdoo struggled. But maybe he doesn't have all the friendships other guys do. Which could be part of that.
  10. How many OCs wouldn't look worse going from Teddy to Sam Darnold though? Regardless if Brady was great, average or bad......whatever he was, he was going to look worse in 2021 simply because of Sam Darnold. And you can apply that to Matt Rhule too. But Matt Rhule wanted Sam so it kinda null and voids that on him.
  11. Rhule looked decent all things considered in 2020. Could argue the whole Rhule experiment was off to a good start. He started looking bad in his first real TC in 2021 and it never really quit IMO. Something was off and that probably was the realization Sam was worse than Teddy….who they deemed not good enough IMO. I don’t pay attention to the talk. They had Sam checking down all camp, all preseason and you could see the bad in Sam was still there despite the early wins. Then it snowballed once teams saw how little we could do with him. * and Rhule, Brady, etc. needed a Teddy at a BARE MINUMIUM. They were too weak of a staff not to have a QB w/ a solid head on his shoulders and understanding of all things. Teddy might of been a check down king but he understood the position and the NFL. Something no one on the staff did.
  12. It’s hard to do a pure yes or no with him like the owner or HC. GM falls into a weird gray zone for me. Some clear good. But it’s hard excuse him from things like the 5th year option, only having it be Sam/PJ last year, the Robbie deal, etc. I’m another TBD
  13. I frankly miss my sirius subscription. my car was either on Stern or NFL Sirius radio 24/7. But I couldnt' listen to Stern w/ my kids and they complained about NFL talk. So I listen to bullshit crap music now that they like.
  14. I think the problem with the 1000% it’s working narrative is that it is tough to see. I think that would be at least be fair to say. I think most would agree that year 2, we overall went backwards. Team was worse overall. Coaching was worse. Win % technically worse since he got an extra game. Staff had to be completely overhauled because of year 2. National perception and local perceptions largely both took hits. I mean it’s QB league. Coaches fates usually get determined by that. But not sure there is a lot of evidence this staff is able to maximize whatever they do have.
  15. again, you go thread to thread to thread complaining about the way posters talk about Panther football. I can name a whole bunch of dead horse beaters. My list will be longer than yours, clearly.
  16. you go thread to thread to thread whining that people are talking about Panther football in a way you don't like.
  17. I didn't say he listened to the huddle. I said they listen to noise. I said, we, also like the local media are all % players in the collective noise. The collective noise has always proven to be impactful if it gets loud enough. Guys like Tepper don't like being national laughing stocks. Billionares don't get into professional sports to be looked at as clowns. It's largely about money. But guys like Tepper also get into pro sports because of ego and status. Billionares competing w/ billionaires. Then don't bother opening up a thread about something you don't want to read. Huddling doesn't have to be that hard. OP put a big clear thread title on it. Is this thread beating a dead horse? Ok. But so are the posters going thread to thread complaining about other posters pooping on things that deserved to be pooped on. It's the offseason. There is still only so much people can talk about. Start a better thread.
  18. But there are 2 things Tepper would listen to. You cut the other out and only acknowledge the one. us here (that you complain about), the local media in the OP (that you just complained about), etc would all be % players in the big picture noise component. And when that gets loud enough guys like Tepper do listen. Because it is a ego/status thing. Guys like Tepper don't like to be national laughting stocks.
  19. I mean, the weatherman likely will tell you it's going to be hot and humid tommorrow if you choose to tune in to him. Tepper is only going to give a poo when it actually starts to matter to him. Noise and lack and sales/support are basically the only 2 things that he would listen to. But I guess everyone could just shut up and show up.
  20. very similiar to one of the greatest, if not the greatest, cameo content makers of all time. The Jimmy. I actually gained respect for Jimmy. I mean, horrible NFL QB. But a lot of the predraft character hits on him were clearly bogus. Being thrown out year one and failing that hard and then the team quickly moving on...he handled it all well. Always played his part the way it should of been played. Took the Ls on the chin. Said the right things. Did the Sam when Cam came to replace him.
  21. They picked up the 5th year option in April of 2021. That was before camp. and the local reporters largely documented Sam Darnold checking down all camp. They asked Rhule about why he was doing it so much. Then he checked down the entire half of the preseason game he showed in. Seems like they figured out real quick they couldn't ask much of Sam.
  22. I mean, Sam doing a random drill means nothing. He has phyiscal tools. Random drills don't ask you to play QB. That's where Sam's problem comes in.
  23. Still early. They have stayed in steady contact with the Browns. What if they end up acquiring Baker Mayfield for a pick cost that is in the ballpark of the Carson Wentz deal?
  24. I just wish Cam would call it a day. He should of after Rhule cut him when he got here. Cam is in the legacy hurting phase of his career IMO. I basically think the guys in the podcast said it without bluntly saying it. It’s over for Cam. His personality is too big for teams to take him on as the short yardage guy.
  25. I mean, I said Cam was done in the very first post and called him washed up repeatedly in this thread. How is that deflecting from Cam lol? Everything is about Rhule defense with you. Oh no, I didn’t show whatever the dude’s name was that replaced Brady enough respect. He was trash. Worse than Brady. So mentioning it was relevant to the fugged up scenario Cam walked into. It was part of it.
