  1. Well, I went down the wormhole. It has occurred only once in Panther history for our 3rd round pick. We have cut some 5th, 6th, and 7th rounders. 1996 - DT - J.C. Price out of Virginia Tech Carolina Panthers Draft History | Carolina Panthers - Panthers.com
  2. a Joe Brady type would have needed to go to a team like KC (under Reid) or Tampa (under Arians). Stud QB where the HC frankly can do the heavy lifting of the OC job while the coordinator develops. Instead, we had Matt Rhule over Joe Brady and gave him Sam Darnold. That's not how you develop an OC. Matt Rhule didn't even know college offense. It's like saying John Fox could develop an OC and put him in charge of it.
  3. Gruden was an offensive coordinator in the NFL though. That's the type HC that could actually bring in a Joe Brady type gamble. That makes the Gruden/McVay example vastly different IMO. Rhule didn't know NFL offense. NFL practices. Rhule isn't an offensive guy in reality. And hasn't been an OC on any level.
  4. I think Baker, Sam, and Corral make the official roster. I think they cut PJ and bring him back to the practice squad.
  5. Rhule said a week ago the starters wouldn't play. Rhule said joint practice were largely for the starters. But Bill is playing his. I think it goes back to Rhule copying people last preseason. Reality was those 2 teams last year were simply only going to expose their studs QBs (Lamar and Allen) to 1 preseason game and he mimicked what they did.
  6. It is sunk cost fallacy. and they aren’t going to go from co/starter to cut. The entire Rhule era is a story of QB mismanagement.
  7. Sam isn't going anywhere. He is the biggest cap hit on our roster. And you really can't cut him and keep PJ and Corral. Because it just highlights what a complete mess our front office is on talent evaluation and contracts. Keep Sam and you can at least argue that well, Baker was a steal and slightly better. Cut Sam and you just are forced to admit you probably shouldn't be in charge of a NFL team IMO.
  8. I'm not as anti-PJ as some here. That said, he makes zero sense to be on our roster though given what and where we are. We certainly shouldn't be dedicating so much work for him just to be auditioning for other teams.
  9. But the take on Matt Rhule was never....Matt Rhule is hands off but just was forced into micromanaging Joe Brady. The take on Matt Rhule is simply that he is a micromanager that has to put his fingerprint on everything football related. Those coaches exist. McAdoo worked under one in NY. They are what they are.
  10. Matt Rhule is still employed here. Joe Brady isn’t. And you seriously suggesting that I only bring up Matt Rhule exclusively when Joe Brady’s name comes up? That I never bring him up Matt Rhule and knock him anywhere else? LMAO. That’s funny. Comedy gold. Well done. You had me going. I thought you were serious. Now you I know this a true troll account.
  11. I mean a positive is Baker is better than Sam or Teddy. a positive is McAdoo at least understands how to go about NFL offense. Not just playcalling but just preparing. Which Brady and Rhule had no clue about. I don’t think McAdoo is very good add but there are positives to him vs where we were. I’ve said I do think overall this will be the best O we have had once Baker is made the guy. But I think the D steps back. Not bad but more of an in-between 20 and 21 type D. So where does that put us? I still don’t think we are well coached at the top. Which I think keeps us right below .500. I just don’t see the point of Rhule because it is just steadily wishing he stays out of the way to a great extent. And that’s not a NFL HC.
  12. I mean, you can find tons of old post where I clearly said I had no problem with Brady being fired and more specifically how he should of never been hired. That a Joe Brady experiment only would have been a worthy gamble for a very specifically built org. I just include Rhule in the conversation. And you can’t handle that. LG is smart enough to know my post calling him a Rhule lover wasn’t serious. It was a joke/nonsense post because clearly saying both sucked and were part of the problem is a fair thing to say.
  13. I’m just not able to equate 2022 Baker with 2021 Darnold. You seem to be suggesting Rhule is learning. I just see it as Rhule consistently missing the mark.
  14. I argued Sam should of been brought in as an actual project. An actual rehab project behind the scenes to see if you could fix him. I didn’t have an issue with that. Sam wasn’t the Baker of 2021. But they never brought in someone to challenge Sam that I could lobby for him to compete with last offseason. They created an environment where it was just Sam. Mitch Trubisky wouldn’t of been a competition. He would have just been better than Sam. And I would have had a problem with that charade going past Spartanburg.
  15. Literally no one argues that lol. they simply argue he was part of the reason our offense was a disaster. Other part is still here. He is the guy running all these bullshit “position competitions”
  16. Apparently, you can only bash Joe Brady. This post makes you a Joe Brady lover.
  17. I mean, you can keep singing that song. I said he was unqualified and we shouldn’t of hired him. I just won’t stop there and keep the conversation going about who hired him and created the entire mess. You know, the guy actually still employed here. Your projection game isn’t strong enough. Matt Rhule is still sitting here. Can’t avoid him no matter how hard you try.
  18. remember when Rhule couldn’t even fire Joe Brady properly? Let an entire bye week go by and then announced his firing. Then got in front of a microphone and bullshitted about how an entire week off for the bye didn’t matter and wouldn’t of helped get his other version up and running lol. Anyone need a used car? Sir Purr made Rhule do that I guess.
  19. It was Tepper!!! Anything bad is always someone else’s fault. Rhule didn’t do it! Were you one of the guys pretending Joe Brady was the GM and he was the one who actually wanted Sam Darnold? lol. He didn’t interview McAdoo for OC. He interviewed him twice for QB coach. And Rhule wouldn’t hire McAdoo.
  20. I missed it because you didn’t address it. Rhule hired Brady. Rhule created a horrific offense. He picked the unqualified OC. He picked the bad QBs. And again, Matt Rhule has never seen good offense. What do many NFL analyst say about the hire now?
  21. Did I call Brady good? Did I say he shouldn’t of been fired? Pretty sure I have repeatedly said he should of never been hired here in the first place. It’s just you putting on Rhule blinders. Rhule is responsible for the offensive shitshow. He is the architect. You can’t acknowledge that fact so you project that I love Brady to deflect from the core issue. Every post you make is how to spin things so Rhule isn’t responsible for his own mess.
  22. Yes. Rhule has always been a micromanager. This has been discussed for a long time. His fingerprints are on everything. That’s always been the report on Rhule. And Rhule she never seen good offense. Only defense. The article was about how Rhule hired someone who wasn’t qualified and then you essentially watched a fugged up Matt Rhule offense. Spearheaded by a guy who has never had good offense anywhere.
