  1. I wouldn’t say I disagree with that… BUT, generally when you draft a #1 overall QB and mortgage your future to do that….you expect that player to be able to overcome some of that in spurts/moments. Bryce can’t . Bryce is dependent on all that to work to shine. Which makes him over drafted by us IMO.
  2. Basically, that scenario calls for someone that can make a play out of nothing. The Panthers don’t have anyone like that on this roster offensively.
  3. CMC never wanted to be traded. He spoke on that. Shocked I think was his wording. and we traded him to ensure a tank. And that didn’t even work. Everything this front office does turns to poo. It’s not just Rhule. The touch of death is still alive and well at BOA.
  4. In a parallel universe, if we never did anything with our assets after Rhule was fired…. a PJ Walker/Sam Darnold lead Panthers would win 2 out of 3 vs this squad.
  5. Panthers put him a situation to fail as a week 1 starter. This isn’t an offense that works for what he is. Now you are starting to see the consequences of that IMO. Now you are seeing him clutch and second guess himself. It’s the start of ruining whatever potential he has.
  6. DJ Johnson. we could of gone up for Bryce without CMC being dealt
  7. They benched him and he had to apologize for being lazy and not trying. We need a super human. Not Chase.
  8. One that features creative playcalling where you get the ball in the hands of legit playmakers. Bryce isn’t a playmaking QB. He is a distributor. But you got to get open quick. that was obvious going in and why I complained so hard going in. It was never going to work with what we did. you basically need the 2020 cast and better playcalling than they had. CMC, Moore, Samuel, etc, And that’s your pass game. the plan with Bryce never made sense. You traded away essential pieces that would allow him to work in this league. And that’s generally not how teams go about it.
  9. The Panthers aren’t fine. We had a bad owner We have a bad GM We have a weak HC We have a rookie QB in an offense that doesn’t fit him. nothing about that is going to work out fine in the near future
  10. Men can cry. It’s ok. It’s also true that some times you need to punch someone in the mouth now that doesn’t mean all crying is ok or that you can just punch anyone in the mouth and it be ok.
  11. Nothing wrong with a man crying. But that’s not a blanket that all crying is ok. something wrong with a NFL QB crying on field because he lost a week 4 football game though. That would be red flag that you don’t have a the guy you need behind center.
  12. Riverboat Ron hasn’t been forced out yet. Ron should have gone for 2 and the win. It’s at Philly. super impressive drive to force OT though for Howell
  13. We hired a guy who was literally just fired for his horrific playcalling.
  14. Seattle likely sucks. Horrible defense with mid offense.
  15. Fitt sucks that’s why. Tepper’s first HC hire was really horrific because Tepper doesn’t know football. Same applies to his first GM hire….some are still just in denial about how bad Fitt is in on every deal. Stupidity praised as genius. Why would you ever want to be in on every deal.
  16. Remember when folks were saying - it’s better not having a #1. This is one of the best WR corps we have ever had. No one will have a clue where the QB is going with the ball. It’s going to be such an advantage.
  17. I think it’s pretty shitty to release a dude going through what he appears to be. His social media has been bath poo crazy. He doesn’t need to be playing but the NFL helped scramble his brain. Help him get help,
  18. I admitted he got treatment after the game.....along with most starters. That's routine. His being, his ankle. They used that as the excuse to give him the breather. Because he frankly needed it. Seattle projected bad and would have gone bad for him. Carr literally went to the hospital after the game. Where they ran a bunch of test on the shoulder we saw him hurt in the game. The exact play. The coach in his very first presser could tell you the act type injury to the shoulder area. AC joint. They know that because they ran a bunch of stuff on it and thought it was going to be way worse. and Carr is out there practicing today, throwing on the injured shoulder, not ruled out, trying to get ready to play. LOL. You not having the grade of the AC sprain doesn't make these two things the same. That some weak kung fu to try to square that. Especially at this stage, with the way the Saints have been with Carr from Sunday to today.
  19. yeah, that's generally how it has historically been justified. Well, maybe this one contract isn't smart but it's just one. When you consistently do it (which we do).....it flat out eventually impacts you. It's not about Sanders in a vacuum. It's about a franchise that consistently does it with players. Miles is an example. So when you overpay Sanders, Ian Thomas, Robbie Anderson and all sorts of role players.....it all starts adding up and taking up more and more pointless cap space. Because you can find guys that fill those roles for dirt cheap. Then, with great management of the roster.....you might can get away with being stupid on a Brian Burns.
  20. I mean, you largely just acknowledged the soft benching while claiming it was conspiracy theory. and you are adding stuff like "because he didn't want Young", which isn't the soft benching argument. One guy threw that nonsense out there. Soft benching was simply a breather for the sake of Bryce's development going forward because Seattle just wasn't looking wise for the rookie off the short week given what the O was doing.
  21. Yes and no on what aspect? that Miles' cap hit isn't way too big next year given what he has shown a half decade into his NFL career? or you think RBs hit some big improvement going into year 5 or 6? You could of put Hubbard in Philly and he would have had 1000 yards with the early down touches.
  22. when a NFL defense knows what you are doing.....you aren't going to be successful. That's our story IMO. you need dominant talent for the you know what I am doing but try and stop me approach.
  23. It's his 5th year in the NFL. 5 years in at the RB spot, you pretty much are what you are. At least that's how you should be paid. Could something change? Sure. But you shouldn't pay RBs going into year 5 off hopes and wishes. We did. I don't give a rip about how much any player takes home. I only care about the cap space game. And when you start adding up players like Miles, Robbie, etc taking up way more cap space than they should.....it eventually impacts what you can do with your roster.
