I could see Drummond being similar on some levels. He might not be the toxic figure Easterby is....but he could still be way overpowered in the org given his background.

and frankly, Wilks and the Panthers were treating him like an utter clown. No way the refs were going to give him any respect. I mean, you are right, he isn't old enough to get calls. But if the Panthers weren't even going to show a tad of respect to him the refs were going to treat him like a tackling dummy. Refs clearly don't view QBs through unbiased eyes.

Which makes it even worse is Stafford got that bogus roughing call earlier in the game for a simple tackle. PJ gets his head tackled…..then after they pull him the announcers are like, interesting it appears there was some contact with the head and they are pulling him. Not a peep about a blown call. I mean we lose either way. But the CMC slam, the PJ no call, the Stafford call all goes to the show NFL games are fixed to a degree. The league puts there thumb on the scale all the time. Can teams overcome it? Sure. But the Rams needed that win to stay alive in their division and get healthy going into the bye. NFL sure seemed to put their thumb on the scale to at least do their part in that occurring. I don’t even think our media brought the calls up to Wilks

I mean at a certain point, they weren’t really even being decoys. and if you watch great WRs. You see most of them ramp it down to some extent when they aren’t really part of the play.

Yeah, I mean the WRs had 7 total yards. I mean to risk your body every play you got to try to win. Not sure how I feel on Robbie at this point and reflecting on the game. Probably need more info. Robbie/DJ etc do know they can get some stuff done with DJ. Wilks in his presser seem to not believe a forward pass was something he really wanted to do unless forced into it.

I mean PJ averaged almost a 70% completion in his starts vs the Cardinals and Lions. You can’t say you can’t scheme up some basic/low risk stuff for him to do between the 20s. if McAdoo can’t pull that off he serves no purpose. McAdoo probably worse at his job than PJ is at his. Which isn’t as PJ compliment.

While the opening game-plan initially looked like it was going to be good….it did turn pretty suspect in terms of if winning was even a desired goal. Also the game management as a whole was suspect. I mean keeping all those timeouts going into the half? not saying he was actually trying to lose. Maybe the priority was to keep it respectable knowing it is all a giant shitshow. And a brewing one (see Robbie)

I mean, to a degree it is on the staff. Joe Brady could muster up some forward passes for PJ . Lots of bad QBs see the field over the course of a season. If you can’t scheme up about 10 passes for a bad QB. You aren’t really a NFL staff. Not sure you can give these coaches a pass for being that inept

I mean you could still do that with a timeout. Get a could punt return and you might need 2 runs to have a shot at a field goal. it’s not really excusable IMO. Wilks blew that from a game management aspect. Granted he probably is a tad overwhelmed but still

I mean you call the time out even if you plan to be super conservative. You never know the result of the punt. You could take knees if it was an awesome punt. that’s not conservative DC/HC game management. Wilks just screwed up.
