Peyton Manning would have been garbage in a zone read heavy O. Cam Newton would have been garbage in Tom Brady’s late Patriot scheme. Fields hasn’t been good. But the Bears have done him little favors overall since drafting him. I mean he is running tonight but overall the O has never been catered to his strengths where you get drafted has a lot to do with your ability to have success

Well, one thing IMO is also at play. The NFL is a film league in large part. It’s a reason Sam had a tiny bit of success in his opening last year. Why Brady’s offense overachieved year 1, etc. realistically, there simply was no film on McAdoo + PJ -CMC. So it’s an advantage that will slowly fade away. I do think there seems to be too much of a swing the other direction all a sudden. From undoubtedly the worst team in the NFL to some now talking about winning the division in mere hours. We still aren’t a very good football.

Brown might be most deserving, but I'd say his odds are low. Just the nature of the Pro Bowl. Burns probably has the best odds. I think Icky would equate to a Brown to a degree. They are playing well but have no real history in this league. And play on a bad team. So they just aren't going to get the recognition for their play. Too many players simply haven't played against them yet. Almost takes a year of Pro Bowl play in the books before you have decent odds pending you aren't taking the league by storm.

Yep, Cam wasn’t Peppers. Lot of doubt. And frankly none of the people that do the rankings had him #1 until it basically became common knowledge we were going to take a shot on him. Then they slotted him #1 overall.

Picking 6, 7, 8 means you suck too. Just with less options in the draft.

Already in his 2nd offense on his 2nd year. Hard to claim he even had a real rookie season last year. Weak talent around him. Real bad year 1. - 65% completion percentage - Tied for 8th in TDs (somewhere around there. Not sure if all stats have pulled over this week yet) - has had the lead in every game in the 4th Q but the Eagles game. Takes awhile for QBs to learn to win late. Trevor isn’t playing bad LMAO. Trevor is literally what you tank to build around. Build around being what they are suppose to do now. Seems like most people are glancing at win column and little else on this one.

I mean his rookie year he went to a complete shitshow. Urban got fired in season of year one and they had no talent. now he is in year 2 already in a new offense. they haven’t lost a game by more than a score this year with okay talent around him. He is completing 65% of his passes. With the Eagles being the lone exception, they have had the lead in the 4th of every game.
