Frank literally said he dialed up a play that could ONLY go to Theilen. Not that he was the primary read or first read. His direct quote was it could ONLY go to Theilen. it’s a clown show. Now I don’t think he tells him what to do every play but Frank is a joke. He admitted to adding in some deep plays for Dalton. Which sure seems to imply he didn’t have them in for Bryce because it’s not like we suddenly went crazy with it. Just NFL normal. He apparently does have plays where the ball can only go to 1 WR too. Frank is a joke. And if the top is a joke the team is a joke.

No. Young hasn’t shown the flashes a #1 overall should. Especially one you traded up for. That should be the type playmaker that occasionally overcomes all the poo and does something. Bryce has zero flashes in that aspect.

I said coming into the season it was all setup for Fitt to be the face of the failed season and to take all the blame. So when it gets bad I still expect them to do what they should have done in the offseason. Fitt goes at some point this year. NFL gods will demand a sacrifice. That’s the one.

Frank said Dalton had to ask for some deep throws. So it at least alluded to week 1-2 being short by the coaches and playcalls. Just because you can find someone open deeper doesn’t mean that is where Frank wanted the ball to go. No clue about today. But I think a lot of that has been Bryce doing what Frank wanted done with the ball.

CMC has more touchdowns today than our entire offense has scored on the season.

I wouldn’t say I disagree with that… BUT, generally when you draft a #1 overall QB and mortgage your future to do that….you expect that player to be able to overcome some of that in spurts/moments. Bryce can’t . Bryce is dependent on all that to work to shine. Which makes him over drafted by us IMO.

Basically, that scenario calls for someone that can make a play out of nothing. The Panthers don’t have anyone like that on this roster offensively.

CMC never wanted to be traded. He spoke on that. Shocked I think was his wording. and we traded him to ensure a tank. And that didn’t even work. Everything this front office does turns to poo. It’s not just Rhule. The touch of death is still alive and well at BOA.

In a parallel universe, if we never did anything with our assets after Rhule was fired…. a PJ Walker/Sam Darnold lead Panthers would win 2 out of 3 vs this squad.

Panthers put him a situation to fail as a week 1 starter. This isn’t an offense that works for what he is. Now you are starting to see the consequences of that IMO. Now you are seeing him clutch and second guess himself. It’s the start of ruining whatever potential he has.

One that features creative playcalling where you get the ball in the hands of legit playmakers. Bryce isn’t a playmaking QB. He is a distributor. But you got to get open quick. that was obvious going in and why I complained so hard going in. It was never going to work with what we did. you basically need the 2020 cast and better playcalling than they had. CMC, Moore, Samuel, etc, And that’s your pass game. the plan with Bryce never made sense. You traded away essential pieces that would allow him to work in this league. And that’s generally not how teams go about it.

The Panthers aren’t fine. We had a bad owner We have a bad GM We have a weak HC We have a rookie QB in an offense that doesn’t fit him. nothing about that is going to work out fine in the near future

Men can cry. It’s ok. It’s also true that some times you need to punch someone in the mouth now that doesn’t mean all crying is ok or that you can just punch anyone in the mouth and it be ok.

Nothing wrong with a man crying. But that’s not a blanket that all crying is ok. something wrong with a NFL QB crying on field because he lost a week 4 football game though. That would be red flag that you don’t have a the guy you need behind center.
