  1. technically, every skill position on O is a need for us though. Theilen and most likely Diontae....don't have the greatest odds of being around past this year. Bryce/Mingo are really the only guys that project out....and both of them were VERY disappointing as rookies. Cupboard is pretty bare here. I think we just need to add as much talent as possible. BPA on O all draft.
  2. yeah, I don't want him at 33. That's not good value. I'm like you, Mitchell is my ideal get there. There are better WRs at 33. Now, if you can get him in the 3rd round? That's a great value. And I wouldn't be upset with 2 WRs in this class. I mean, they could draft Leggette and I love it....or they could draft him and I hate him. Depends where you draft him. Really anyone. I hated where they drafted Mingo and especially Johnson last year.
  3. I mean, he is raw and is currently developing at a pretty significant rate. So to me, he just doesn't compare to a Mingo. They just were on two different projectories in college and coming into the draft. I mean, I want Mitchell, Ladd, the Texans boys, etc. at 33rd. My Leggette talk is about getting him on a double dip in the 3rd. If someone wants to draft him before that, so be it. There is always a team, sometimes us, that over drafts someone out of need. I just think WRs could fall in this one given how many good prospects their are.
  4. I mean, he wasn't one of the top WRs in all the SEC off just catching jump balls. I never got KB. Just like I don't get the 2 right now at FSU people are talking about. and again, I'm talking Leggette at the top of the 3rd round. Which is a WAY better deal if he is there than Mingo was or a lot of these dudes people talk about at 33.
  5. I mean, there was just a Mike Williams thread that went 100 pages. Mike was doing that in college. Everyone remembers them winning the title off the Renfrow pick play. How did they get there? Signature Mike Williams making the same type catches he ended up in the pros being known for. That was the biggest catch on that game winning drive. Completely covered and going up and making a play.
  6. yeah, the small hands/arm narrative is just reading off a paper and not his play. I mean, he has good hands. That's billed as one of his strengths. And his hands and arms are on par with the consensus #1 WR and no one is claiming he has small hands. You can have big hands and have bad hands. and you can get Leggette projects later than the 33rd. I mean, if he is there at the top of the 3rd? No brainer IMO.
  7. Mingo also had fairly pedestrian production in college. Mingo and Leggette don’t seem comparable WRs to the eye test though. I mean, what Leggette did this season just isn’t something Mingo ever really showed in college. Leggette plays bigger.
  8. I’m not big on either FSU WR for our situation. But I want 2 of our first 3 picks to be WRs. So I could tolerate it pending the other brought a totally different game to the table. Mitchell is my favorite if he fell. Then Ladd. I like Leggette if he was there in the 3rd.
  9. Keon Coleman Draft and Combine Prospect Profile | NFL.com He’s not sudden and doesn’t have great speed, so beating press and creating breathing room against tight man coverages will depend on his ability to improve as a route-runner. Weaknesses Press coverage can blanket his release and catch a ride. Below-average acceleration getting out of breaks and cuts. Could struggle finding separation to avoid excessive contested catches.
  10. I mean, that's just the blueprint for a team with no QB that can't actually do anything. Survival and trying to not get embarrassed. Steal a game here or there. Brag about being competitive. That's generally not the what a franchise should be thinking in year 2 after giving up the farm for the #1 overall pick QB. Just cut the QB or sign someone else. Canales isn't a run guy. All those saying he wants to be run first (including himself).....are just politely saying they go zero faith in Bryce Young to be anything.
  11. Isn’t he projecting in the 3rd or 4th round?
  12. I still think Bryce Young is an anomaly….and you can’t just insert him in some old generic offense. His arm and his size just demand it. I’m personally done with him. But I think if you wanted him to succeed you need to build a small ball dink and dunk attack with the weapons at RB, slot, TE, WR etc to give him a shot. He just isn’t built for the league. I think that has been answered. Ceiling isn’t high enough to really give him a shot at this point IMO and overly cater to something for him
  13. Canales was an OC for 1 year with the 20th ranked O….with largely a veteran offense. I mean, this is the part I struggle with. If Bryce can’t do it with Canales then we somehow did all we could do for him? plenty of QBs could of done better than having to go to a prime Vick last year. old and horrible Andy Dalton looked better. So I don’t think you to time machine a MVP in.
  14. Dan Morgan on instagram hyping folks up about a Panthers in reality give us a
  15. I mean, it’s all Tepper in reality. You see the same format to a large degree with his soccer team. should of done a legit rebuild in 2020. We didn’t. A new window opened in 2023. We failed to do it properly then. And now because of 2023 and the carryover from the prior nightmare, this isn’t a legit rebuild either. Again.
  16. Huh? Thats got nothing to do with saying we have failed to properly rebuild since Cam/Ron era ended. have been botching things ever since the Ron/Cam era ended. We are poorly run under Tepper. And that was an era.
  17. QB league. Stud QB changes the dynamic of so many around him. Same for really bad QBs. we are this bad not just because we draft bad. Lots of teams draft bad. We do FA poorly. We do trades poorly. We hire coaches poorly. And we have delayed rebuilding properly since Ron/Cam left.
  18. Win now teams, desperate teams and stupid teams have always existed. Young kids always think everything is new…when it’s just new packaging.
  19. Rams and then Bucs the year before the Rams? I mean, they added greatest QB and arguably greatest TE in NFL history and won the Super Bowl off it. and largely the majority of recent history is really just dominated by landing GOAT QBs. Which is why it’s largely just a small group of winners.
  20. I mean the most pathetic pass game in the NFL being saved by a 1 year OC that lead the 20th ranked O…..isn’t the greatest sales pitch ever made to anyone with options. We would have had to offer Mike 20 a year. Jets overpaying him at least makes since given they basically are in win now with Rodgers mode.
  21. Mike Williams is awesome when healthy. It’s good we didn’t sign him. What he does best does jive with Bryce Young. He belongs with a calculated downfield risk taker.
  22. We should double dip in the draft.
  23. makes sense. Rent him for a year for Rodgers.
  24. you are supposed to cater to a rookie QB and put him in a position to succeed/grow. Specifically one you mortgaged your future for. We failed massively to put him in a good spot last year to succeed/grow. And if he had good G play last year....he still wouldn't of been put in a position to succeed.
  25. I'm just here easily doing the good work lord Zod would want.
