I wouldn't be shocked to see Burns traded. They couldn't agree on a deal. Now it's evident we are going to suck for some time. I think they slowly start to shift the language to full rebuild. Which is what we were setup to be doing. This braintrust just couldn't tell the difference between up and down. but it's Fitt. Mr. In On Every Deal that is bad for Carolina. So it will be a bad one. Probably trades Burns for Chosen Anderson and gives them a 4th on top of it. -
The offense with Bryce is getting worse every week

So the two worst starts to date in Panther history are the 0-5 last year of Fox season and the 0-7 last year of Capers season. football is football, odds would say we should enter the bye at 0-6 (given we play the Dolphins and Lions next). Houston, Indy, and Chicago are the first 3 after the bye. Does Frank set new worst start opening mark and get to 0-8? I think Carolina (0-8) and Chicago (0-9) meet personally. Just seems fitting.

Miles says it's "not cool at all" for fans to boo the team at home

Miles got boo'd in Philly. You get paid millions to play a dumb game. You are the entertainment. You get boo'd when you suck for 4 straight weeks. -

He finished the season 5 of 15 for 43 yards with 2 INTs. that's Sam Darnold after a couple weeks of film. It always ends the same. remember, there were folks claiming Sam was in the MVP race after the first several games with Rhule. Sam is always Sam. And all NFL teams need is a handful of weeks to figure out how a team is trying to hide his flaws before they feast on Sam. -
If Bryce busts, was that the worst trade in the history of the NFL?
CRA replied to Captroop's topic in Carolina Panthers
what is the worst Panther trade. I mean, we don't know if Bryce is actually a bust. But let's assume he is in the hypothetical. What would be worse? -

as of right now? No. There are still worse trades. BUT it could end up down the road if that 2024 pick turns into the #1 overall for Chicago and THAT pick turns out to be great QB. -
You have a magic wand to fix our biggest problem.

Tepper every first for Tepper has been a train wreck - first HC hire -first GM hire -first major community investment -
Yes, proper anger should first be directed at a horrible front office. Then you can go down from there. we have a bad owner and a bad GM, who hired a meh coach. They mortgaged our future for a low ceiling QB that I don’t think their meh coach actually preferred to attempt to build his O around. Early indications are he had to be convinced into the Bryce pick, his NFL college roommate essentially told us what Frank wanted and it wasn’t Bryce, etc. Now we have a shitastic offense and the low ceiling rookie QB being predictably bad in it. Which isn’t really Bryce’s fault. Bryce also has a high floor but that’s still really dependent on all the parts around him. And the coaching and skill talent around a rookie QB of Bryce’s style is horrible.

Is Frank Reich telling Bryce who to throw to on each play?
CRA replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Week prior he admitted he had to put in some deep plays because Dalton was the QB. Frank was literally just fired for being a trainwreck playcaller. Frank’s just bad at his job. we got a limited rookie QB. You need great/strong playcalling with that. Not Frank Reich -
Is Frank Reich telling Bryce who to throw to on each play?
CRA replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Frank literally said he dialed up a play that could ONLY go to Theilen. Not that he was the primary read or first read. His direct quote was it could ONLY go to Theilen. it’s a clown show. Now I don’t think he tells him what to do every play but Frank is a joke. He admitted to adding in some deep plays for Dalton. Which sure seems to imply he didn’t have them in for Bryce because it’s not like we suddenly went crazy with it. Just NFL normal. He apparently does have plays where the ball can only go to 1 WR too. Frank is a joke. And if the top is a joke the team is a joke. -
Our offense has been out coached 4 straight weeks

Andy Dalton is 10+ year Pro Bowl vet QB that has essentially seen everything the NFL has to show
-
Lions paired up their HC/GM when they hired Dan Campbell the Lions fired their OC after year 1. You always got to have someone to finger point
-
2020 - Marty was fired 2021 - Joe Brady was fired 2022 - Rhule was fired NFL is simple. When things aren’t going as intended and people are unhappy….the NFL is a blame/scapegoat league. It’s the O that will demand the sacrifice this year. It won’t be the QB. It won’t be the playcaller/HC. It will be the GM. The guy who will take the fall for the offense. And like most of the time . It will only address part of the problem. The rest will remain

4 games in….he had 2 300+ yard games. And that was a different era. You could maul WRs. Peyton showed flashes. It’s why he ended rewriting the record book.
-
No. Young hasn’t shown the flashes a #1 overall should. Especially one you traded up for. That should be the type playmaker that occasionally overcomes all the poo and does something. Bryce has zero flashes in that aspect.
-
I said coming into the season it was all setup for Fitt to be the face of the failed season and to take all the blame. So when it gets bad I still expect them to do what they should have done in the offseason. Fitt goes at some point this year. NFL gods will demand a sacrifice. That’s the one.
-
Frank said Dalton had to ask for some deep throws. So it at least alluded to week 1-2 being short by the coaches and playcalls. Just because you can find someone open deeper doesn’t mean that is where Frank wanted the ball to go. No clue about today. But I think a lot of that has been Bryce doing what Frank wanted done with the ball.
-
CMC has more touchdowns today than our entire offense has scored on the season.
-
I wouldn’t say I disagree with that… BUT, generally when you draft a #1 overall QB and mortgage your future to do that….you expect that player to be able to overcome some of that in spurts/moments. Bryce can’t . Bryce is dependent on all that to work to shine. Which makes him over drafted by us IMO.
-
Basically, that scenario calls for someone that can make a play out of nothing. The Panthers don’t have anyone like that on this roster offensively.
