  1. Recent winners have had some top tier receiving talent counting TEs. guess it depends on the definition of good.
  2. Our roster sucks though. We have a ton of work to do…..and that requires a lot of cap. we need new OL talent, WR talent, TE talent, RB talent. And that’s just the O. Unless Burns is willing to take Reddick/Chubb money…..you let him walk. And I’m willing to bet he has already been offered more. Burns isn’t good enough to take up absurd cap space on a team that needs as much as we do
  3. Well, I haven’t advocated for that. But the argument would be it’s an offensive league and our primary concern is building Bryce Young into a stud QB (and the cupboard is bare around him given Theilen is essentially an older rental). We got literally nothing outside of project Mingo be worked on for Bryce. We need OL, WRs, TEs, RBs. We need basically an entire new offense for the most part.
  4. It’s a cap space league and he will impact our ability to add talent around Bryce Young. And we need to add a lot around him. OL to WRs to RB to TEs.
  5. Miles Sanders was rated THE worst receiving RB in the NFL last year. That's out of every RB that saw the field. PFF is flawed. But when they tell you someone is THE worst at something in all the league......there is something there. He also rated very poorly in that regard in prior seasons. The Eagles beat writers covered his career of unreliable and inconsistent play. It was always something. Bad routes, bad hands, fumbles, etc. This front office is just bad. I don't even blame the players. They have come here and been basically all the same versions of themselves but in a bad offense w/ bad coaching.
  6. Tommy Tremble straight up out snapping Hurst at this stage. Fitterer overpaying all these bums in free agency only for Matt Rhule draft picks to outplay them. Fire Fitt.
  7. late round pick? I mean, Dalton is what he is and has been for some time now. And he wouldn't be anything for the Vikings but a warm body to finish out the year.
  8. problem really isn't Ickey. Problem is Carolina. Our instability and lack of building toward an actual vision. Icky was a run centric LT. Everyone knew that in the draft. And was saw last season, the results are good when you use a player how they are meant to be used. Frank Reich's shotgun heavy scheme that is now featuring Bryce Young.....means Icky isn't meant to be the LT for that type O.
  9. Well, give Sanders and Hurst whatever you wish. I conceded a D was generous. I had Chark at a grade higher because he is cheaper and has been more productive than Sanders and Hurst.
  10. We barely squeaked out a W at home with a walk off FG this week to win our first game of the season. We aren't a should win several in a row type team now. We have the 30th ranked run D in the NFL. Houston can't run. Indy and Chicago both have top 10 run games. NFL is about matchups. That makes those specific weak teams bad matchups for us. Finding a way to 1 of the 2 would be a good thing. Expectations shouldn't be a 3 game win streak. We aren't very good. Both those teams are licking their chops too seeing us on the schedule thinking this is where they can get wins too. I call this stretch coin flip games. Hard to think we will win all the coin flip games. That wouldn't make them coin flip games.
  11. 99% of the NFL plays for paychecks. Professional athletes in general. If you want Higgins or whoever.....you can almost get anyone if the dollar says so.
  12. Problem with the upcoming 2 winnable games is the matchup they present. NFL is just matchups. Which makes them harder matchups for us vs others. Bears and Colts both have top 10 rush attacks. They complicates them for us and makes them less easy games for us than they initially appear. Because our run defense is garbage.
  13. If we are honest the retooling has to start in the front office. Because essentially every “issue” was largely obvious going in while they were calling it a win now and plug a QB in O.
  14. He proved to be a flawed committee RB in Philly. A really good team told us what he was.
  15. So this front office made 4 free agency moves to aid/grow Bryce while also declaring it now a plug in and win now team. To date, I’d grade those moves as: Adam Thielen - A Miles Sanders - D Hayden Hurst - D DJ Chark - C Heck that’s probably generous on Sanders and Hurst given their pay and being outplayed by freaking Hubbard and Tremble.
  16. Ok. I’m not worried about that. That’s something sensitive Bryce fans are worried about. Stroud has outplayed him on the season. Our offense still sucks. The Texans have been a better team overall on the year because of Stroud’s play vs our QBs play in this system. Can’t really have that both ways.
  17. Will Levis out there today throwing 4 TDs. 3 to Nuk Hopkins. We got a massive front office problem. meanwhile our front office out there signing Hayden Hurst and talking about winning now
  18. Ok. It’s still just one TD vs a meh D. we got a win, it was going to happen at some point. Probably will again. It’s the NFL. Good offense is still something we are waiting to see. We got a roster problem. Probably a coaching problem too. I don’t expect good O until we start addressing the issues.
  19. if the kicker misses the kick at the end….what’s the narrative on the offense? Nothing actually changes about what they did on the day. I'm just saying, the offense isn’t good. It hasn’t been all year. Wasn’t good today.
  20. He lead 1 TD drive against a meh defense. Offense is still dogwater. Nothing has really changed there on the year yet.
  21. I know, I guess my point is comparisons only mean something before they step on the field. We have seen Mingo in the NFL. And he looks nothing like a young Boldin.
  22. and Boldin still put up a career very similar to 89. Many would argue his edges Steve's. Boldin edges 89 in most categories on less games....and then adds the ring.
