  1. would like to see an increase in motion to help Bryce
  2. less predictable playcalling certainly helps though. We aren't going to suddenly be good. But there could be improvement.
  3. Frank in his presser today: The offense has finally found a rhythm and that's why he can turn it over to Brown
  4. Well, that the name of the game in the NFL. When it gets bad....it becomes about fall guys and blame shifting. Been that way for years. I think Fitt rightfully goes at some point this season personally.
  5. Thank goodness those defensive touchdowns can afford the PR team a bogus stat to pimp
  6. that was just coach speak for quit asking me IMO. Frank was blasted at Indy on his way out and was a hot topic coming in. because the rational he was using was he would get the O up and performing well and THEN might hand it over. Not have it be dumpster fire and then toss it to Brown. Frank has already let us know how ticked and involved Tepper is. Just seems like Tepper doing what Frank essentially let us know Tepper would be doing.
  7. I thought there was reporting that the owner/gm paired a lot of this up....and it wasn't just them hiring a HC that did what he pleased.
  8. I don't think Frank hired all the staff to begin with.
  9. Tepper is horrific/the devil......and Tepper most likely forced Frank into a fairly obvious decision. Frank and other folks have made it to clear of Tepper's unhappiness and involvement. And that was an easy call for Tepper to enforce on his coach at the 0-6 bye.
  10. SUPER safe bet that Frank didn't make that decision. Tepper made that decision in one of their "talks". and I am also willing to bet the playcalling will better vs the Texans.
  11. never was implying it was a good plan but you can give certain select few weak talent and not suck. That's not and never has been Bryce Young. and that's also why Bryce Young isn't the problem. The Panthers are. Tepper was literally bragging about taking Bryce Young to save money and not have superstars on O. Bryce Young isn't and doesn't project to be one of those anomalies. He doesn't know football. He doesn't even have idiot message board level football IQ IMO.
  12. has Bryce completed a ball downfield (20+) yet this season? I honestly can't think of one.
  13. it wasn't a horrific call. But Frank conceded he was pushing the limits on the distance it was suppose to be used/called. So essentially they wasted a good play IMO.
  14. I don't hang my hat on certain stats. Stats tell incomplete stories. Risk adverse checkdown ball can lead to selectively good stats. I'd rather they not mortgage so much for someone with the physical limitations that Bryce Young. And if they wanted to draft Bryce Young, I'd prefer they have hired a staff that could build an offense around his strengths and a put a cast around him that caters to that. We didn't. We got bigger issues than Bryce Young. We are a dysfunctional org that isn't building toward anything. Bad marriages. That's largely been my biggest complaint. You can make a Bryce Young work. We aren't. And it's by unintentional design.
  15. Most need them. A prime Cam, Lamar, Vick type can win without them. The more untraditional types. and then the elite GOAT types QBs can win without them. Like a prime Tom Brady, Rodgers could likely win games without superstars. But in the NFL, most need them. and that's just winning games. Not competing to do something special. The argument a rookie Bryce Young of all people didn't or doesn't need them is a comical farce IMO. Which was pointed out by many leading into this season when people were pimping this Panther PR about how it was going to work to our advantage somehow lol.
  16. yeah, I think the difference there is just playcalling/scheme. NFL teams largely know the predictable routes we are running over and over. Makes separation harder. We do have average WRs. But life is hard on them because they run the same weak ass crossing routes and outs all game and defense can largely run the routes with them. you can't win in the NFL with an opponent knowing what you are doing. You need comical better talent for the try and stop us approach. Which is the Frank/Bryce O. Defenses have been playing it since week 1. Average WRs are going to have a hard time playing the small ball cross game vs a D playing it.
  17. We do have average WRs. The Dolphins don't. The Phins don't even have above average. They have top tier WRs. So the contrast is going to be big. and yeah, Bryce needs elite weapons. Because he himself doesn't have elite NFL tools.
  18. Frank talked about the plan going in at the post game presser....and then him altering it after a couple runs hit and then everything coming to a hault. Frank is definitely calling the plays. Frank has zero feel for playcalling. This game continues to highlight that well established fact. And as someone said about, the 2nd drive at least was still probably going off the opening script.
  19. I mean, here is Jimmy Clausen in college chucking it downfield. What does that mean.
  20. Now is the time where you start doing personal stories that frankly have nothing to do with playing football. Some get to know you pieces or some poo. Any PR that is trying to put a dress on this poo-sandwich is just going to tick off the few people that actually care still.
  21. there is literally zero local heat on this bunch. zero. national media has never cared about us except when Cam was here or we were good. So they aren't even going to bother kicking us.
  22. yeah, you can still pull up most of the next gen passing charts while Teddy was with Carolina.....and Teddy was SUPER risk adverse as you said. But if you look like a checkdown QB when compared to Teddy Bridgewater....you got problems. We got problems.
  23. Reality is, Teddy Bridgewater attacked the field deep more than Bryce Young.
  24. We scored 14 pts Sunday and got shut out for 3 quarters vs a meh defense.
  25. We never had a cast of elite coaches. We did vs the Rhule era….not vs the rest of the actual league. That continues to be a repeated misconception. Frank, Dom and Caldwell aren’t elite in the year 2023. We hired 2 promising coordinators. The math ain’t mathing to call them an elite coaching in the 2023 NFL. And generally every team has McCown, Duce, etc types.
