I didn't watch him at Wash ST. So it's just looking at stats on paper. They haven't played anyone yet this year worth a hoot. I'm a bit torn on his on field demeanor. I need to see Cam Ward play against some tougher teams first. Or tougher defenses. Really need them to win the ACC (catch a Clemson) and go into the playoffs. I don't want to draft a QB at this point (first round at least). I'm cool with a flyer in the 3rd or something. I'd rather add another discount vet that can do the job. Built the team around the QB right now.

I mean, even that is likely too far of a swing IMO. Competitive every week? We are still a bottom tier roster. I think we will be competitive with the rest of the weak teams. From what we have seen, our D can't handle teams that can run and pass. Folks will get film on Dalton. We got a lot of inexperience in the pass game too. We have had those perfect storm games before in the Tepper era before.

I mean, I do think the fanbase overnight has swung too hard into the Dalton/Panthers are now a very good team mindset. Odds are, a lot of things went our way for that game to work out like it did.

Trevor is a lab built QB he just isn’t lab built between the ears. He is in that average NFL starter tier of QBs. It’s sort of funny that we have 1 good game….and suddenly we are looking down our noses at everyone lol. They ain’t trading Lawrence. Bengals ain’t trading Burrow. Dalton ain’t a better option than those 2. Man, it’s a shame Carolina didn’t hire Joe Brady and pair him with a functional HC to let him learn and grow. Joe Brady is really turning into a nice playcaller. He was pretty good here between the 20s. If only a HC would have helped him out with the practice and prep aspect of the red zone

I mean, correct routes/depth/etc all matter. So yeah, I would assume Mingo, XL will be less consistent than 80 year old AT. That’s part of developing them.

Not sure we have an accurate picture of what the Dalton lead Panthers really are. Especially the D. They got their teeth kicked in to kick off the year before Bryce even laid an egg. I think we are better than the Bears. We probably are on par with some other teams like Denver and NY. But roster wise, we still got a ways to go.

I mean any given Sunday. I think the standard back down to Earth came is setup for us. I got an L this week, W the next. Then I think we rollercoaster. Our D is still on the weaker side. Got to think Mingo and XL got some learning curves ahead. Theilen removes some consistency. So I think the O is going to be inconsistent.

Probably next week. Raiders have zero run game which probably really aided the D. Bengals are steady with it. Higgins first game back I think was last night. Chase back in the grove after pouting. So that O should be tough to keep up with.

To an extent, there are a lot of positives to it. I mean, big picture there isn’t much point in Dalton throwing to Theilen/Johnson. We need Mingo and XL to have bigger roles and to develop

It felt like there were a lot of free blitzers yesterday. Luckily Dalton was good with the ball. I know one late was by design but they need to clean that up asap

Willis is a bad QB he happens to be playing on a good team with a coach he can make it work for a couple weeks

I would say the last time the fanbase felt like this was at AZ with that dominate 34-10 win in 2021. which is why I think we should just enjoy the game and not yet talk about Dalton contracts, playoffs, etc. I don’t think we know what this team is yet

Yeah, in other people’s offenses. That’s not the same thing. It doesn’t do any good to study Dalton in Marvin Lewis’ offenses….who was on the sideline. this was all talk about before the game….when it was said Andy would likely have a good day. It happened. It’s an advantage. But that goes away.

I think folks need to bump their breaks. teams will get film on Dalton and what Canales is doing with him. There were lots of free rushers today and it thankfully didn’t hurt us. Crosby was hurt coming in. this isn’t the norm of what the Dalton era will look like. We need to see that and then decide

Dalton has played in a billion games and fits what Canales does. Bryce has never fit. You would have to create something unique with great skill talent. So it’s still a failure by Carolina. They drafted a unicorn and thought he could be a regular NFL QB. Square peg, round hole. That is an org failure.

I mean, I said before the game started I expected us to look good. That’s what new and no film often does. This O ain’t on film. Canales isn’t running what he did with Bryce just like Frank didn’t. It all gets expanded. Dalton fits what Dave wants to do as well.

He most likely will be. also, as fun as this is, Dalton is getting a huge aid for this O being a 180 from all the film on the Panthers. This isn’t what the rest of the season will look like. it’s like Cam’s return. Reality came quick after that epic game

PJ Walker has a NFL caliber arm and mobility. I think Caleb is a bust. Don’t think he has the right stuff between the ears

I think Frank was right and a lot of those wrongs, he had no ability to do anything about thanks to Tepper. Outside of just quitting/getting fired. Outside of the the dinosaur should have adjusted more but you hire him to him.

Trevor gets a pass year 1 Looked as promised year 2 Probably shouldn’t have played most of year 3. Crazy injuries this is a big year for him. but Trevor was always distorted coming into the league. He never played the game robotic and super smart. He was lab built physically but always played not the brightest/risky pretty consistently

I think Uncle Rico is better than present day Dalton. Uncle Rico was solid on a horrific Jag team. Came in last year and posted a winning record with Indy. Saw more wins last year in relief than Carolina has seen in a long time. Completing 77% if his balls this year

I think what is really going to hurt Sanders is his dad and that O at Colorado. He has talent. But given the exaggerated slant to showcase him he is developing horrible habits. He definitely helps create a lot negative plays with poor decision making/hero mindset

They lose a lot, so I get why you think I’m only around when they lose. They stormed the field and tore down the goalpost for….Baylor. Baylor was 3-9 last year. They suck. Colorado has significantly more talent than Baylor bruh and it took a horrific coaching decision by the Baylor on that Hail Mary for Colorado to steal one lol.
