Do you actually have 17? Canales is installing a brand new O scheme. Our OC has never been an OC. Featuring an brand new OL where everyone has someone brand new to their left or right (with a C that has never played C).....featuring a green raw QB already on his 2nd new scheme in the NFL. I don't see how those are a legit 17. Maybe he doesn't have the OL to run it.

con is pretty big IMO if you are looking big picture. Can Canales make it work with Bryce. That needs to be answered this year. Delaying looks and reps, delays knowing that. And we know Frank had to do tons of tinkering to try to find something that work. Canales is guaranteeing a slow start. Delaying figuring out what does and doesn't work with a unicorn QB. Worst case scenario is Bryce remains and unknown after this year.

It’s what it’s all such BS talk. Canales is doing it too. They try to gymnastics there way to some partial truth and pretending that’s all it is. and I give them all a pass there to an extent at the podium. It’s PR for a football team. It’s how you look out for your players or teammates. I just hate when folks argue but X said Y so that has to be true and if you disagree you are wrong. Football teams are BS machines. Especially when it comes to dealing with the media

Still just feels like we are repeating last year -same bad owner -largely the same bad front O - same O advisor - we just switched Os and playcallers. But instead of experience we went with inexperience. End of the day, Bryce still doesn’t fit what Canales does. Didn’t fit Frank. And Canales has even conceded he isn’t some innovative guy. And what we get is a repeat of last offseason only Canales can’t even remotely fake it like Frank did and get it him out for a few for PR. And that’s why from the jump Canales has been 1 of 11, we got to run, and from the jump planting the seed Bryce wouldn’t play in preseason. Hard to play him when your O lives off the aggressive downfield shots and you are forced into Young

3 changes in the offseason + at least 3 in the regular season = 6 changes trying to get Bryce to be able to play. That’s all you need to know. all star staff bent over backwards and couldn’t even get in the realm of average/threatening despite the kitchen sink attempt

This article is talking about 3 changes abefore week 1 ever kicked off. Which really makes sense given Frank’s doom and gloom aura and barely playing a raw rookie his first preseason. Canales is in a repeat. But unlike Frank who was at least a vet HC/OC….he could still fake it a little. Canales doesn’t know how to be a HC yet, OC has never been an OC….then you got a bad QB who can’t plug in to the little you know

and it’s basically why Canales has his starting O in an underground bunker. Bryce can’t do what the OC/HC are about on O

Aaron Rodgers is a literal HOF QB who missed last season with injury who the Jets have gone all in on…. comparing a horrible 2nd year Bryce Young to Aaron Rodgers just doesn’t equate some guys sit….vets, guys off injury, proven mobile QBs….every example of the few who don’t see preseason have no comparison to Bryce Young

Aaron Rodgers is a veteran HOF/Super Bowl QB coming off an injury….stupid is making that comparison Bryce needs to play. The entire O featuring a brand new O, O, OC, HC, etc needs the reps. We are poorly run. It has shown the last several preseasons. This one too. Panthers do make people stupid. For example, it has folks defending THE worst team in all of professional sports as not continuing to be obviously dumb. Which they are showing once again. called this before last game. Poorly run orgs get easy to predict. I’ve called it all pretty easy for years now. Basically the start of Rhule’s year 2 you have to intentionally ignore the poo show that is clearly ready to roll

The last 3 offseasons you could predict everything based off the joke management of the team in preseason…..this season continues the same trend. Flags are up and waving Canales isn’t the answer and this is going to be a long year

You think Andy Reid is forcing Mahomes to play a half? Nah. Mahomes wants a ring. Got to iron out all the kinks now. Can’t afford to start finding and fixing stuff that already exists later….that how winnable early games are Ls. Bryce checks zero boxes on why you would sit a guy and all the boxes on why you would play a guy. I can get it from Canales perspective though. The perspective that isn’t talked about though.

Bryce isn’t not playing because of worry about injury… Bryce isn’t playing because the O isn’t competent right now and Canales doesn’t want to address that….still has weeks ahead to work on getting something to look better. Why should he bring that headache on himself in terms of PR. Most QBs legit want a couple reps to make sure they can see any concerns and problems in their O. Wins are too important and there are too few games to figure stuff out when the season starts. I mean, you protect runners, old guys, injury stuff. Then you rest guys once you know the team is generally ready.

you can afford slow starts and winning not mattering....when you know you ain't actually competing for anything. I maintain, Frank and Dave are prioritizing Bryce's confidence and the teams confidence as they enter the season....not so much us playing well early.

Patrick Mahomes is playing again this weekend. Plan appears to be for a half. Might was well just pay attention to the folks that matter in the end. Josh Allen is playing a quarter + this weekend.

Gantt would have been awesome during the Tepper era....if Tepper didn't employ him. A true shame.
