I mean if you followed Lawrence, his NFL debut felt a lot like his college start. And while he went undefeated and won a natty….it was full of risky and dumb throws early on as he figured it out. Lawerence is lab built physically, but not mentally. He has always had some don’t throw that Trevor to him.
-
Jags were 1-16 the year before though. They were essentially void of all talent on O outside of their new QB. I just don’t see them as similar to us/this. There was no all star staff talk, no making the playoff talk, etc. going in either. Narratives were just different (but I would concede the offensive realities weren’t that drastically different overall). And while Lawerence might not of met the hype as a one man operation as a rookie….he was still a lab built QB for the NFL. I don’t think the overall feel was comparable to what some here at feeling about Bryce. Lawerence opened his career throwing for 300+ and wasn’t 31st in yards per game like Bryce. Also, in terms of narratives, the QBs behind Trevor in Lance, Wilson and Fields weren’t making him look bad/look like the wrong pick. Urban however was being a one man shitshow

Understandable. And per Frank he is ready to say good bye to the NFL for good. I still think is a red flag for how much a fired HC was really ever ready to go through it all again to begin with . There has been zero energy to this team since he was hired.
-
If it was an open secret Frank didn’t really want to be there (which was reported today)…..then you sort of have to let him go, right? I mean if Frank is ready to walk away from the NFL game for good today…you sort of have to question how much was ever really into it coming in. Plenty of good places to go collect a check from if you just like the game and work. I think we are in the window where Trpper who deserves a lot of blame, tons of it…..will start to get some that belongs elsewhere or should be shared.
-
I think Fitt and Tepper sell each other on bad ideas.
-
Weirdest part for me, is all the former players that are so complementary of him and there belief he will get it done in the end.
-
I don’t think Trevor and that offense is what got Urban fired though. It got Frank. Urban just got Urban fired.

RB Coach Duce Staley and QB Coach Josh McCown fired
CRA replied to jamos14's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah, Chubba is largely still just Chubba. We removed guys like CMC so you don’t see the glaring difference when Hubbard is in. Miles Sanders was not a good RB overall RB in Philly. I spent half the offseason telling everyone that. And so now people see him as better than Sanders as improvement. *obviously he has had some steady improvement while in the league. Nothing glaring. Just more reps because what he has always largely been…..now defaults him into the best playmaker we have thanks to Fitt/Tepper. -

Full freedom? Did Ben McAdoo has full freedom once Rhule was fired? Nah,Wilks made him run it his way. Thomas has 2 dinosaurs he will have to answer to in Caldwell and Tabor. Who per recent firings are empowered. of course, there is no telling what is true. Panther narrative is rarely the real truth even in good times. -

The remaining dinosaurs look to thin the herd of these youngsters -

Duce likely influenced the Miles Sanders add. That could be what did him in -
Frank Reich Fired as Panthers HC - Official

I think Frank stared to regret taking the job when he didn’t get a QB he wanted. I think Frank really regretted taking the job when he was asked to give up playcalling. Think Frank knew he was a dead man walking a couple weeks ago when he got it back. Always felt he was half way in to this whole thing anyway. -
lol, “time to develop” Bryce I mean Frank is ruining/hurting him. Tepper clearly knows what the talk is about him. Not firing him now is just abut factoring in how the next potential HC views things. Which is all fine. He should fire Fitterer today though. Really yesterday. Last week. Before the season started in all honesty.
-
Well, Chark wasn’t about that life. And I don’t blame him. Frank up there today channeling Matt Rhule
-
Bro is talking like it was a bullshit call and he didn’t appreciate his head coach blaming him for not doing something right. If the call is 4 yards behind….Chark was exactly that if you rewatch the play. Odd that Chark felt the need to bring up the exact depth he was supposed to be. Word traveled fast Frank was throwing folks under the bus.
-
Multiple things can be true Frank is a bad HC Fitterer is a bad GM and we have both because Tepper largely hires bad people. He doesn’t know what a good GM is. He doesn’t know what a good HC is. And a bad HC and bad GM clearly can’t work well with an involved owner.
-
Frank isn’t the first nor will he be the last to not get it his way on things. He also is just a bad HC. I think because he acts like he is on sedatives people ignore a lot of the Rhule-ish to him. like today. That was a horrible call at the end. Frank’s take? That should be a TD and Chark did a poor job. That’s seems like a pretty Matt Rhule-ish breakdown.

Wonder why they didn’t do a bubble screen there and instead actually attempted to win.
-
So this is what watching football is supposed to be like. It’s weird. Talent. Playmakers. Offense. Joe Brady can’t even get in the way of it.
-
Only point would be in regards to Bryce. Frank gets him murdered every game, likely is regressing and developing bad habits. Change could alter that. Especially if you went with an interim that preferred run heavy ball. of course, Tepper could just tell Frank to bench Bruce to protect whatever he thinks he has in Bryce. But that makes his investment look the worst. I want Fitterer gone first and foremost. That would appease me.
-
the check is part of the play. That’s on Frank. Not Bryce. end of the day everyone knew they would come for Bryce in that scenario. Frank called the play that obviously would be a screen. Because he knew if they show blitz the playcall becomes the screen. And only the worst DC in America wouldn’t have thrown the sink at Bryce there. And then Frank didn’t even have the right personnel in….with the game on the line for a weak ass screen.
-
The check is essentially going to be the playcall from the jump. Because everyone knew the Titans were going to come for Bryce in that scenario. If you hit it right?? Frank didn't even have the WR they plan they play for in. end of the day, game on the line, Frank called a BS screen…a WR that wasn’t designed for.
