  1. RB: Cook WR: Diggs, Davis TE: Kincaide I wouldn't call that old and slow skill talent Josh Allen has. Only 1 of those is over the age of 24 and that's Diggs. *Allen has largely been paired w/ good D units his career in Buffalo. This year isn't the norm on D. You can play the same game w/ Allen. He has made the postseason 4 times....paired with the #1, #3 and #6 ranked D.
  2. read some more, the article appears to be bashing Sean McDermott. Little else. Paints him in a very bad light. and it appears he isn't actually a fan of the way Josh Allen or Cam Newton play the game. The reference to Cam to an extent is just highlighting how his present day view and treatment of Josh Allen shouldn't be a surprise.
  3. He basically has Cam Newton minus the showboating in Buffalo. It's the same QB play.
  4. Trevor had a winning record, won the division, and went to postseason in his first year with Doug. Finished top 10 in yards. Trevor has a winning record this year with Doug, leads the division and would be in the playoffs if they started today. Currently top 10 in yards. How has a 2nd and 3rd year player not been executing? Also completing 67% of his passes his 2 years with Doug.
  5. Depends. The Matt Rhule 2022 squad? Might be a coin flip. The Wilks 2022 squad? Wilks by 10.
  6. I don't think he is a bum. I just don't think he is Garrett or Crosby or Bosa. I think he is Reddick-ish. And probably I'd put Reddick ahead of him. Burns just isn't in the tier of money that was talked about all off season. Would love to have him. I don't want to handicap building a good roster because we comically overpay our frankly 3rd best defender as if he was Julius Peppers caliber player.
  7. Did you ever notice how that Frank guy never showed any emotion. There's just something about him Dave. We got to have him. And that Bryce fella. So cute. I could put him in my pocket and take him home.
  8. Tepper meeting a long time Panther fan
  9. You can essentially do that game with almost any coach to a large degree. Even the GOAT himself, Belichick. All coaches are largely dependent on players at this level. Ron Rivera brings a certain level of competency and respect. It was just a repeat of John Fox. We all wanted better. There is better. Especially in this passing era. But I always thought it was easier to do worse than Ron or Fox. Which we have done.
  10. Firing Ron Rivera accomplished nothing.
  11. that's the majority of the south. NC is a college ball state too.
  12. I still think the football component is just a toy aspect for the billionaire and his wife. It's their bonus fun. And they are enjoying themselves with their Madden-like management. They invested in a sports franchise to diversify and grow their wealth. That was and is the reason they are here. Which it has done in the short time he has owned the team. In fact, it is mind boggling how good these investments are for the mega rich. It makes that Frank/Rhule money flushed down the drain mere play money in reality.
  13. same article (General Manager Scott Fitter) even credited Mrs. Tepper for her role in the coaching search. What struck me most about the comment is how it didn’t sound forced. It was authentic. He didn’t seem to be just sucking up to the owners, but he appeared to mean it. Was Mrs. Tepper the difference in the hiring process that the Panthers needed? At the very least, her insight lent to assembling the most accomplished coaching staff in team history. Mrs. Tepper also has been noticeably present as Carolina has scouted their next rookie quarterback. She has been present for most of the quarterbacks’ pro days, and there are tons of photos showing her meeting the prospects and their families. One can only assume she has also been involved in the one-on-one interviews with these quarterback prospects.
  14. that looks like something the Tepper's paid to have written about her. there is nothing factual behind those assertions. She had to resume to be doing anything for this organziations....let alone part of the staff hiring and player personnel. She is just a rich lady and money has afforded her the opportunity to anything she wants. Tepper could buy an automobile company and overnight she would be in overseeing crash testing or some poo just because he bought the team and wanted to be part of it.
  15. big picture, if you decided to draft Bryce Young....the only smart play would be to ultimately cater an O to him. Given his limitations. not that we really did that. Frank largely was just doing what he likes with a tiny Bryce tweak. We didn't bring in a playcaller to build a scheme around him, we didn't add skill talent to match that and we don't have an OL for it. Nothing fit. I mean, we could 100% cater to our OL. That just lowers Bryce's potential ceiling having him in that O and makes the pick even more pointless/bad than it already looks.
  16. it's pretty bad in this O. I mean, if you cherry picked out all the plays Bryce is adding the issue....the OL is still flat out bad. but some of that is also just flat out the predictability of it all working against them. Which isn't even Bryce or their own talent. Frank Reich's O here made Jeff Davidson and every horrific playcaller in our history look better.
  17. this current window has been a textbook example of having no vision and everyone on their own unique page. we don't need to "fix the OL".....until we know what we want to be on offense. We need a HC and a direction before we have anyone fixing the talent on this team.
  18. it remains a massive red flag....to of jumped around the league for years and then could only find a home on Matt Rhule's staff. Never got the hype some made with him.
  19. all depends on the HC and O we bring in. This cast was universally looked as upper half of the league in 1 scheme/O. Near last in another. But given we likely are stuck w/ Bryce for at least another season and if he officially busts I would still want to pursue a creative and passing O.....we need to get rid of a line built to play Foxball.
  20. Frank woken up last night in a cold sweat to this Frank then remembers what he just stole Frank
  21. yeah, I got no issue if the Panthers have women in leadership roles. I got an issue with the Nicole being it. Her resume is I married some dude in 2019 so now I can tinker around w/ a sports franchise because I'm already bored with being a billionaire's wife.
  22. I can't use a happy looking clown to represent these folks. Tepper has destroyed our average franchise yet largely every other year entertaining team.
  23. Look at this clown. Clearly never been to the luxurious South of the Border. Haven’t you seen the 824 billboards, friend.
  24. Tepper is about to announce the “Carolina” Panthers are no longer going by that name. It’s not appropriate. It’s not 2 states, 1 team. We will be the Nicole Panthers.
  25. I don’t know. Lot of players have seemed less than enthusiastic about then whole deal. Specifically, the older players with families and those that have spent time elsewhere. who wants to go sleep in a college dorm for a couple weeks away from your family? I don’t think all 6 are putting their athletes in college dorms either.
