exactly, which is why the folks around Brock lost that game. Not Brock. He managed the game like he has all season long. He did his job. Did Purdy turn the ball over? No. Did the 49ers? Yes. Multiple times. And both were big turnovers given where they occured. you in here bashing Purdy like he can be held to the standard of Mahomes.

In a deep qb class should the panther take one day 3?

Sanders also takes a lot of sacks. I know he doesn't have the greatest OL but lot of that is just on Sanders himself and his decision making. -
my personal guess is Andy Reid isn't going to hang around that long to even make a legit challenge. So it will be just be Mahomes chasing Brady. but I think it will be more interesting seeing Mahomes in a non-Andy offense than it was when Brady parted with Belichick.

this is Mr. Irrelevant's first season as a starter in the NFL. Brock Purdy isn't even supposed to be a good version of himself at this stage of his career. The folks around him are the ones the that need to be taking this L on the chin.

CMC can't fumble in scoring position. OL can't kill drives with penalties. You can't muff a punt and give Mahomes the ball at the 16. You can't miss XPs. when you build your team like the 49ers have chosen...the burden is on the team. KC and SF are build 2 very different ways. The burden and expectations should be different. Brock Purdy did his job given his role on that team. He is paid a 2 buttons and some old pocket lint in comparison to other folks out there.

nah, this was never Purdy Mahomes. It was the battle of an offense with a superstar QB vs the super star cast. And a reminder, that QB more often than not....is all that matters in the NFL. Brock Purdy didn't lose them this game. The rest of the roster didn't uphold their end of the bargain.
-
this. only you left off when KC was struggling early....SF penalties getting him in 2nd and 27 and 2nd 19 type scenarios and WAY off schedule and killing some drives.....on top of all you mentioned. SF didn't lose that game because the game manager continued to be what he has been. The best roster in the NFL didn't hold up there end of the bargain.

but again, to date, what the biggest test Jaycee Horn has seen and successfully shutdown? the only actual good QB/WR duo he has been on the field for......he wasn't tested as the game was a blowout from the jump.

we have done it in the past with a lot of guys. Deangelo, Kalil, Boston, etc. Just a money game designation. You can cut them in March. Jackson ain’t worth the money. You get 2 of those designations. His contract looks right for it.
-
I'd cut Jackson as one of my post June cuts. Brings the hit down to 5M.

The Matt Rhule era Panthers went after BIG12 players 2nd only to the SEC.

I'm sure assaulting people on the regular, being the last batch from the look at me diva era, being a legendary a hole (despite fans embracing it and finding it fun") is going to work against him with the types that vote vs....folks like Reggie Wayne/Holt who also having icing on the top rings. Not really caring to argue if it should it, shouldn't matter. I think it clearly impacts things. it took TO 3 tries to get in. I think Larry is going to jump all the WRs who are in line. And 89 is 3rd pre-Larry entering the mix.
-
I take it as.... taking a note to be used for later.

and frankly, Sanders, Hurst, and Thelien, and Tuttle.....don't really need to be here.

I'd go with HOFer. Peppers. I mean, I guess that technically should be the go to vintage player at this point. At the present, he uniquely stands alone now in our history. *replace the missing, cheap one. -
Got to think Luke gets in before 89. Who is in front of Luke at this point. 89 certainly looks to have to wait on Wayne and Holt at a minimum at this point and no way they go in together. And Larry likely jumps 89 too

HOF voters really dislike Cortland Finnegan more than Ken Lucas?
-
which means Fitt and company also liked him. I mean, Matt Rhule was clearly in the backseat at that point which was largely discussed in real time….and fired a couple games in. Practically a dead man walking that season. I mean Baylor isn’t Temple. Those dudes do get drafted. Matt Rhule is a doofus that was asked a question about Brock and wanted to make himself look good because he is probably self aware at this point how bad he looks….I don’t see it as much more. What he says is largely based in truth if he offered receipts IMO. He ain’t my boogeyman anymore. Scott Fitterer had more to do with our current sad state then Rhule

Stealing a line from Gantt, Matt Rhule has made people stupid for some time. I mean, Rhule is dumb, which helps out. Rhule in simple terms said a QB who beat him and he played against several times should be in their board…and he was told no or ignored on it by the folks who put it all together in the end. Which isn’t outlandish at all. That probable scenario likely happens all the time in the NFL. The, this random kid I like is someone I think should be on our board and doesn’t make it. Teams have all sorts of people arguing for guys that don’t end up making the board. I mean, that’s how a board is formed. every coach, scout, GM has a list of players they could say they liked and if only the rest listened…. Matt Rhule is an easy target. Because he is a floundering coach at this point. And he had always been dumb with the mic. I would assume he largely is speaking a truth, which is why he says to check the receipt on that and offers it up. That doesn’t mean he is as fighting for Purdy. Just that he mentioned a kid he knew….and was ignored in a draft he clearly was in the backseat on at that point

Chicago sun times: Julius Peppers selected to hall of fame
CRA replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
sort of interesting who you got to start rooting to get in if you want Panthers in the future. At this point, you need some of Wayne, Johnson, Holt to all get in likely before 89 has shot. That's going to delay his time you got to think if they don't soon start to go. Clearly, the voting types have put them ahead of 89. Wonder of Luke can leapfrog Patrick Willis given he is already in line. -
