  1. I still think if you want to really help Bryce out.....you don't give him a deep jump ball specialist. You give him a quick slot WR, you give a him a rec RB, and a solid TE. Add that to having Johnson on the outside.....and you are starting to actually try to help him succeed.
  2. Jets essentially overpaid to rent a deep/jump ball specialist for an all in win now Aaron Rodgers season. we weren’t supposed to march that price tag….given we were basically a 180 degrees from where the Jets are
  3. It is what it is….we got to keep pounding as we search guys when that inner dawg in them that are one of us. Just sit back and trust the process so we can be the toughest, hardest working, most competitive team in the NFL.
  4. I do think NIL and highly paid players is eventually going to bring what Deion is claiming to future drafts. The Eli thing starting up. I think to an extent you see Caleb Williams baby stepping some new behavior with not disclosing medicals, etc.
  5. That’s doesn’t look good. Seen that before.
  6. well, the team that traded for the 33rd last year was for a QB that slid... I mean, and all they got was a 3rd. That's some bad recent precedent in terms of value to get out of it. and we are the Panthers.....so we probably would trade the 33rd for a 8th rounder. Only to realize, that didn't exist.
  7. 2024 Panthers had that Muggsy to Kelly Tripucka magic
  8. last year the 33rd essentially just landed the trading team an additional 3rd round pick. Everything else was swapping picks. I'd rather just draft BPA at 33
  9. I don't want the Panthers to trade up or down. Not with what the folks in charge have proven to date (Tepper and whatever Morgan was or wasn't under Fitt). I think at some point you go to figure the former LB had big input in DJ Johnson. Draft the best WR on the board at 33. And if you draft BPA elsewhere then draft the BPA at WR at the next 2nd round spot.
  10. I mean, I'm cool with Bryce taking us to the gutter again if that's how it trends. your bolded is just where I'm at. I mean, Dalton is just whatever to me. I'd rather of us have something else cooking in the QB kitchen. Add some young kid. Play the lotto. Keep Dalton if you want but I want the QB depth chart to be something other than just Dalton behind Bryce.
  11. the last half decade? 5 different teams. Been called into action for 43 times to start for those 5 teams. Never posted a winning record as a starter with any of them when called up. Given where we are with Bryce Young. We don't really need a warm body to come in a survive a game. We need a veteran we potentially would just give the keys to IMO down the stretch if we move on. Or if Bryce just got knocked out for the season. I don't consider that Dalton at this stage. For me, I want a back up we turn the team over to and us actually be able to compete OR another young guy with potential. I see Dalton as survive a week here or there option.
  12. we just need a better vet QB. I'd be about replacing Dalton with a vet that isn't washed.
  13. people penalizing him for not breaking out earlier with a coach grad assistant or WR playing QB.... Apparently, there have been some team leaks about Leggette and his medicals which should resolve this banter.
  14. Browns fans pulled it into the present moment. Doing what we would be doing if we just signed Staley and Foreman and hyping it.
  15. just sets the league up for more big plays. Which is all they really care about. too many DBs just aren’t equipped to be able to both deal with the speed some WRs present…..and then also be capable of bringing down much bigger and stronger TEs, RBs, etc at the 2nd level.
  16. I think Fitterer simply signed the biggest names he could at WR and RB to sell to the fanbase…….to try to mask how bad his CMC and Moore trades were. Coming off the Rhule nightmare and then trading away our best 2 players….he had felt obligated to throw names at us to lessen the blowback. And it worked. All star coach narrative throwing random coaches together. They falsely claimed Miles was a 3 down RB despite Philly parting with him because he wasn’t, etc
  17. but has a single poster even argued for Legette at 33? Lots are arguing against taking him at 33. I mean, I guess there is the worry the Panthers could do Panther things and overdraft him though. So I guess there is that. Consensus here is that 33 is too high I would think.
  18. technically, every skill position on O is a need for us though. Theilen and most likely Diontae....don't have the greatest odds of being around past this year. Bryce/Mingo are really the only guys that project out....and both of them were VERY disappointing as rookies. Cupboard is pretty bare here. I think we just need to add as much talent as possible. BPA on O all draft.
  19. yeah, I don't want him at 33. That's not good value. I'm like you, Mitchell is my ideal get there. There are better WRs at 33. Now, if you can get him in the 3rd round? That's a great value. And I wouldn't be upset with 2 WRs in this class. I mean, they could draft Leggette and I love it....or they could draft him and I hate him. Depends where you draft him. Really anyone. I hated where they drafted Mingo and especially Johnson last year.
  20. I mean, he is raw and is currently developing at a pretty significant rate. So to me, he just doesn't compare to a Mingo. They just were on two different projectories in college and coming into the draft. I mean, I want Mitchell, Ladd, the Texans boys, etc. at 33rd. My Leggette talk is about getting him on a double dip in the 3rd. If someone wants to draft him before that, so be it. There is always a team, sometimes us, that over drafts someone out of need. I just think WRs could fall in this one given how many good prospects their are.
  21. I mean, he wasn't one of the top WRs in all the SEC off just catching jump balls. I never got KB. Just like I don't get the 2 right now at FSU people are talking about. and again, I'm talking Leggette at the top of the 3rd round. Which is a WAY better deal if he is there than Mingo was or a lot of these dudes people talk about at 33.
  22. I mean, there was just a Mike Williams thread that went 100 pages. Mike was doing that in college. Everyone remembers them winning the title off the Renfrow pick play. How did they get there? Signature Mike Williams making the same type catches he ended up in the pros being known for. That was the biggest catch on that game winning drive. Completely covered and going up and making a play.
  23. yeah, the small hands/arm narrative is just reading off a paper and not his play. I mean, he has good hands. That's billed as one of his strengths. And his hands and arms are on par with the consensus #1 WR and no one is claiming he has small hands. You can have big hands and have bad hands. and you can get Leggette projects later than the 33rd. I mean, if he is there at the top of the 3rd? No brainer IMO.
  24. Mingo also had fairly pedestrian production in college. Mingo and Leggette don’t seem comparable WRs to the eye test though. I mean, what Leggette did this season just isn’t something Mingo ever really showed in college. Leggette plays bigger.
