  1. outscored 61-17 to date in the CFP. Zero wins. I do think the 12 team format decreases the odds of first game blowouts. Which weren't uncommon in the old format.
  2. well, I didn't see this earlier. Warde Manuel just said yesterday SMU could drop behind Alabama (and who knows who else) if they lose.....so I guess you can be punished for playing in a Championship game. I swear I thought they said they wouldn't do that earlier in the year. he confirmed a team that doesn't play can't jump another team that doesn't play. So based on that, SMU now has to win to be in. And if you are SMU, the ACC title game only presents risk and no real reward. So I retract my statement that Dabo could save folks from Bama. No one can save you from Bama.
  3. Oregon was losing in the 4th quarter to a one man show RB from the Mountain West. That's why sports is fun.
  4. SEC/BIG10 isn't good enough to take up 8-9 spots. Almost every year Clemson made it in the past, most argued the ACC didn't deserve that spot either. Which proved itself to be SEC fan fiction. This is just the continuation of that same thing but trickled down. There are no dominate teams in football this year. Took UGA 3483 OTs to take down GT last week. SMU should 100% be in, win or lose. How would you jump Indiana over them that doesn't even play?
  5. NFL board. Ward and Sanders are projected as some variation of 1 and 2. A matchup like a SC would be super relevant to the draft and NFL.....because it pits them against a team that would potentially take advantage at their perceived flaws (and they have the same flaw). So, I use the 2 QBs interchangeably. Both would provide that opportunity.
  6. I welcome such insanity. I welcome the Gamecocks mental gymnastics as well. As Dabo said yesterday, they were the first 15-0 national champ, why not be the first 3 loss champ. My favorite part is how self-aware Dabo is off the hate of him/Clemson....and how annoyed people will be if they even win the ACC. but regardless, I'm pulling for the lowest seeds until they are eliminated. Well, outside of UNLV. I want Boise St in and see Jeanty vs a good D.
  7. What I wish, is they would say screw the technical bowl requirements.....and have Colorado or Miami play a team built like South Carolina. Let the nation see the two biggest holders of the ball vs a good SEC defensive front.
  8. yeah, they don't like the equivalent of Eli at other positions sniff the HOF
  9. Based on what the committee has outlined and said….there shouldn’t be room to move a team that doesn’t play up. Now you can move a team down by losing the championship but they have said you shouldn’t really be penalized for making it and losing. So winners can go up. SMU is at 8….so that would be a pretty big ding to drop them below Indiana, Bama, etc (who shouldn’t move) I think Boise State might get dinged out in a loss. But it would be essentially a one spot drop. SMU would have a bigger drop. but who knows, they want Bama in. Bama got way more eyeballs interested than these small schools
  10. Only one man can do something about that and keep Bama out…. Yours and everyone’s favorite coach…Dabo!!!! Clemson wins and they can keep Bama out
  11. And when Travis doesn’t win….you can credit Deion for not helping in the end. Deion controls all. So that marketing pitch to all the Heisman voters was all Deion Sanders message. And he prioritized his son….because that’s always been why he was in college football. It’s family business.
  12. I think a world exist where Trevor gets hit on that play and it not be a dirty hit. That hit was dirty. There was intent. The forearm into the neck head was a choice given the position Trevor was in. You could have pulled off to some degree and maybe just end up hitting him somewhere. Flag and no suspension. repeat offender. It’s coached. Texans coach was a clown. Blaming everyone from Trevor to blaming Jags players sticking up for thier QB after his body locked up stiff after the clear dirty hit
  13. well, I think that is the the actual game that shows where he is at. He doesn't have to be great. But KC and Tampa literally setup for him to do well. Weaker pass defenses that have high blitz %. Philly presents the nightmare scenario for Bryce. Great pass D. They barely blitz. And the cold exposes weak arms. If Bryce somehow looks just okay vs that....I will then change my tune on him.
  14. why Travis Hunter shouldn't win the Heisman? Because even Colorado isn't willing to actually sell that narrative. Colorado just sent their marketing to all Heisman voters for who should win.... it's HeisMEN. Plural. With Shueder listed first. Give my boy Jeanty the award. His numbers blow the last 2 Heisman RBs out of the water.
  15. matchups. Weak pass defenses that blitz at a high %. I suspect when the matchup alters.....so will Bryce's play.
  16. Hottest take of the week: Texans HC blames Trevor Lawerence. Then blames the fight after on the Jags for overreacting. there is a reason that Texan defender is taking dirty shots all season. It’s at the top
  17. we can revisit this after the Philly game. if you play any QB long enough, they will have some decent games. Especially when they catch some of the easier setups. We saw this last year.
  18. yep, Canales is playing like Bryce and company got some vintage John Fox D to play complimentary ball with.
  19. yeah, I don't get conservative play for a bottom rung team that isn't actually going to do anything. Be aggressive and go for points. 4th and 1 should often be a no brainer. You got nothing to lose.
  20. DE, DT, LB, DB. Start there. I still like the Carter and then Carter draft mindset (but the 2nd Carter has been a little disappointing this year). Penn St and Clemson.
  21. the real test of where Bryce presently is remains Philly. Tampa has the 30th ranked pass D. KC had the 23rd ranked pass D. Philly has the #1 ranked pass D......and on top of that it will be real cold ( and per Cam Newton, real cold exposes weak NFL arms). Can Bryce be average in that scenario....that's the test.
  22. they said during the KC game he was hurt and it would limit what they could ask of him. I wonder if he is still just nursing something. Overall those were non-pressure easy kicks....which is what he built his resume on as being the most accurate kicker in NFL history doing.
  23. “Just a reaction, just a reaction”. which is probably true. Natural instinct for most isn’t to try to go one on one with that big fella in a random split second. I didn’t notice it live. Replay and the right angle shows Bryce thought about it and a window to try.
  24. Bryce being asked in his presser why he pulled a Cam and didn’t try to jump on the fumble….
  25. I don’t think he is a good play caller. and I never support meh playcallers calling the plays as HC. Be a HC. And that’s amplified when we are talking a green newb at both. that said, we should of won regardless of that. Hubbard can’t put the ball on the ground
