If the Saints and Steelers pass on QBs, this might be the first QB-less 1st round since who knows when.

I've thought the same general idea but not to get back into the first. I'm strictly against trading future firsts. The further the QBs fall, the more likely someone surprising will be available heading into the 3rd, like Corral or Howell. I wouldn't surprised if Fitterer looks for a trade in that scenario. Carson Strong may be available in the 4th without having to trade.

It's funny how some people are utterly befuddled at how most UNC fans aren't pressed at losing to Kansas. Prior to the first win against Duke last month, some bracket projections had UNC First Four out or Last Four in. This run was an overarchivement capped by spoiling Coach K twice. I just can't bring myself to be that mad. Largest comeback for Kansas in Finals history. Sure whatever, but it was a 15 point halftime lead, that's not anything crazy. That's almost nothing in modern basketball and won't be a "record" that long.

Yeah Fitterer comes from Seattle, their whole philosophy was about stockpiling picks. Fitterer traded down like what? 4 times last year? He definitely wants some 2nd and 3rd round picks, it just a matter if he gets an offer good enough to justify it. If he doesn't move down and drafts Neal/Cross/Ekwonu, there are always a few QBs that fall lower than projected. If Howell/Strong/Ridder is sitting there in the late 3rd, i wouldn't be surprised to see Fitterer maybe try to move up before the end of the night.

Rhule has gotten placed on a bit of an island here. The only prominent coaches left that are his guys are Nixon and Snow. McAdoo has been known to be political. He could easily try a mutiny of sorts here. Probably wouldn't work, but it would be funny to watch.

Lance went to NDSU, which is the most dominant FCS football team in the last decade. Alabama A&M is a HBCU, which don't get NFL scouts down there that often (Jackson State will probably change that as long as Deion is there tho). I would really like to see Glass and Kelley at the combine. Neither will probably be invited sadly.

Honestly looking at how disheveled and rough he looks here (compared to regular rough Matt), I believe the "he needs to find an OC" talk. He doesn't look like someone who was told he was safe. Looks like he hasn't slept a wink. He got through by the skin of his teeth.

Moderately pessimistic bc I'll give it a chance. I'm at a point in my live where I'm not going to let a game on TV negatively affect my life. If I'm not entertained, I won't watch. Watching incompetent play by my favorite team is not entertaining. It'll be easy for me not to watch. I'll dutifully show up at the start of next season like I always do, but once it becomes apparent that nothing has changed, then my Sundays will open up quickly.

I wouldn't hate it if he has simmered down this time around. We would probably have to give him the same control Rhule has (to avoid another SF ending) and I think Tepper would be wary in doing that again. That's why his name is linked with the Raiders, he would get the same control Gruden got.
