  1. Aye, it is about the guaranteed dollars. Kap and Dalton moving forward ares still big question marks to me. I think Cam is more of a sure bet along the lines of Joe Flacco. Flacco got more guaranteed: Too much? .
  2. We should definitely get a pool going. Predict the contract, winner gets.......
  3. What's important is what have the Panthers done in the last 4 years to make Cam want to stay in Carolina, perhaps for a few dollars less? Is the coaching staff, roster and overall environment at BofA conducive to Cam and makes him lean towards staying? Have the Panthers done enough? There were a lot of people on this site who mid season were sure Ron Rivera would be terminated at season's end despite just having been given a long term extension. Coaching prospective threads abounded. Wrong, was never going to happen. Cam knows what the future will be like in Carolina, does he want to be a part of it?
  4. Of course they're delusional. You have to give Indy their due rebounding much more quickly from 2-14 and the #1 overall pick to post 3 straight 11-5 seasons and 3 Playoff wins. very impressive. The Panthers for instance have struggled to be consistent, as usual.
  5. Sure, despite that. Believe the Wilson and Luck deals get done when it happens. Cam is in the last year of his rookie contract, Luck and Wilson are not. Cam already bypassed earlier attempts by the Panthers to lock him up. Luck could easily do a Joe Flacco who parlayed a Super Bowl season his final contract year into a healthy long term contract. Bottom line, don't believe all the speculation you read.
  6. But then you have the people on this site who tell you the GM in Indy is trash and the Colts roster is complete garbage top to bottom. So you'd have to assume they think Andrew Luck is more valuable there. Bottom line though, Cam will set the bar when he signs and a year later Luck will probably get just a wee bit more. Inflation at work.
  7. As it should be, Cam is the real deal, Kaepernick is all smoke and mirrors.
  8. Spin all you want, it's all scoreboard. Luck and the Colts 3 Playoff wins in 3 years. Panthers one win against the QB-less Cards in 4 years. I'll wait and see if the Colts sign Luck to a 32-40 million dollar per year contract as you suggest.
  9. Don't know what to tell you, Luck's 1st year the Texans went 12-4, last year they were 9-7, the worst 2nd place record the last 3 years was 7-9.
  10. You can't possibly argue the Panthers don't play in the worst division in football. In their 3 Playoff appearances in 3 years the Colts have beaten the Bengals, Chiefs and Broncos for a 3-3 Playoff record. 2 of their 3 Playoff losses have come at the hands of the eventual Super Bowl winner, the Ravens and Patriots. Have anything else?
  11. Seriously? The Colts and Luck have won 33 Regular Season games in 3 years and made the Playoffs 3 straight years. What does that make the Panther's organization? The Panthers were the first team to enjoy an elite 1st round QB at Rookie Salary Cap discounts and for the most part, have wasted the opportunity. The NFL Salary Cap might be leaning towards 160 million by 2016. Are you really suggesting the Colts will offer Andrew Luck in the neighborhood of 32-40 million dollars per year?
  12. really? turns adblock back on....
  13. Exactly how fugging cold is it in NC right now? Brrrrrrrrrrr. http://www.witn.com/home/headlines/COOL-PHOTO--Front-of-Jeep-frozen-in-time-at-Vidant-292406901.html
  14. We were the first franchise in the Rookie Cap era to enjoy someone of Cam's skill at the QB position at a discount rate. And the Panthers wasted the opportunity. Now we have to play on a level playing field.
  15. Sad thing is I PM'd an Admin asking he sticky the Draft threads. Nothin'. Countless hits these threads provide.
