He's been lifting. Looked BIG. A lot more muscular than I ever saw him while active. I'm sure he could play in a zone scheme.
-
I was with Josh Norman on Saturday night. He has BIG. Dude looks like he is a body builder now. I'm sure he could play again immediately in a zone coverage scheme.
-
Evero needs a scheme to cover for the coverage deficiency. And Burns better have his best games. I still have nightmares with Benwikere on Julio or Keith Taylor on Mike Evans last year.
-
I think we heard pretty definitively they wanted Burns, Brown, or Moore. But I could be misremembering.
-
These next few weeks are gonna be really really tough on this secondary. Evero better have some outstanding scheme coached up or we might staring 0-4 in the face. Those are 3 of the top talented teams at receiver on our entire schedule and we will face them all without CB1.

https://x.com/JFowlerESPN/status/1701615196211446213?s=20 And our next 3 matchups at WR: New Orleans - Olave / Thomas Seattle - Metcalf / Lockett / Smith-Njigba Minnesota - Jefferson We are screwed. This secondary is about to be torched.

Good player. Not a hall of famer.
-
Isn't he too similar of a player to Miller to work? Both mainly perimeter wings. Neither really slashers or elite defenders. Neither playmakers. But I agree on needing a veteran to help these players develop as professionals on/off the court. Clearly a few can learn from a solid leader.
-
Because his story doesn't pass the smell test. And it's not surprising that the Tuscaloosa PD did very little to investigate the star of the university during a special season.
-
I feel like I can no longer value your opinion on this matter since you would probably display the same lack of poor judgement and lack of fortitude.
-
Maybe, maybe not. Nobody will ever know how much he truly knew. But he was at the scene. So it's more involvement than 99% of society will ever have. So personally, I'd rather a person with solid character be drafted (especially when the other player considered is at least equal talent wise).
-
Dude, stop making excuses for him. Most normal people don't hang out with a crowd that would EVER be involved in a shooting at a bar so they will never be in this situation. Because they aren't morons like Miller is. He has a major character flaw and terrible judgement. Maybe worse. I don't want him on my team and will never cheer for him. The massive majority that dislike this pick have a very legitimate reason.
-
Either of these ideas (or any other one) would be a better decision that what he did.
-
He's not Carruth. But he is not somebody I want to cheer for or pay to bring my kids to root on. Combine that with them bringing back Bridges and I feel like I can't morally support this team. I hate it.
-
Just because police couldn't find enough evidence to charge him with a crime doesn't mean he is INNOCENT. He was involved in some way. He absolutely knew more than his attorney's statement. At a minimum, he has horrible judgement. In the worst case, he knew what he was doing but police couldn't prove it and now he is making 50mil after being accessory to murder. He deserves to have the hate thrown his way. How many people do you know that were at the scene of a murder and shoot out? He's a crappy person.
-
I feel like they will be pretty protective over him. QBs barely get touched now. And him being small will have the opposite impact of Cam. They will probably flag the smallest contact because they are worried he can't take it.

Panthers sign Bengals TE Hayden Hurst
jamos14 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Panthers get their pass catching TE, Bengals TE Hayden Hurst (former Falcon). -
The only one that really matters is Bozeman. Everybody else is very replaceable. Maybe Pineiro if they don’t trust Zane.
-
And the defense got worse.
-
There is a reason Wilks was coaching at Missouri. His defenses have not been good. His D at Missouri was TERRIBLE and got better the year he left. He's a motivator and tough guy. Good man. He is not a top tier NFL coach and the rest of the league knows that. Also why he doesn't have ANY other interviews.

So which QB do we think will be available at #9?
jamos14 replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Houston - 100% taking a QB Indy - 100% taking a QB Seattle, Vegas, and Atlanta are hard to predict but it's possible. So that means 2/3 of Young, Stroud, and Levis will be gone before pick 4. I'll predict somebody trades up for the remaining "top 3" QB (potentially Carolina). Richardson is remaining at #9. -
Just because we might back into first place in the worst division in history doesn’t mean he deserves to be the HC next season. it’s an absolute no.
-
You are talking abut 2 starts when the entire league prepared for him as the starter. AND most importantly, they didn't have CMC. They are 7-1 with CMC. He's the security blanket, especially for a young QB. CMC has had ~225 yards rushing and 75 yards receiving in the 2 games Purdy has started. Maybe Lance isn't good. Maybe Purdy is the next Brady. I don't know but I can tell you that reason he is succeeding is mostly built around Kyle's offense and Christian.
-
Sure. But it's just like a franchise QB. The good ones are drafted. You have to take a risk to nail it. Same applies with coaches. Most aren't successful but you have to take your chance on greatness instead of settling for a guy who wasn't horrible in his first opportunity. Just IMO.
-
Shannahan's system is the best for QBs; no question. He has made Jimmy G look like a Pro-Bowler for years. Purdy is a good story but this is mostly on Kyle and his play calling, play design, OL, and CMC.
