Yes, absolutely. He has a better shot of being a HC by just being a great DC than taking an interim spot. He deserves a shot now, he has done wonders with our defense considering the personnel sucks and the injuries have been bad. But not here. We need to spend every resource developing Bryce (and I know you don't like him or think he can succeed) but he is here for at least 3 more years.

Bryce can work in a lot of modern NFL offenses. Plenty of coaches know that he has tools. He clearly needs work as well. I think lots of coaches aren't going to turned off by the situation. The only thing they won't like is not having a first round pick. Almost every new HC goes to a bad situations because their previous coach was fired for a reason. This isn't anything new.

I get the pessimism. It's deserved. I am choosing to be hopeful because it beats feeling that the future is lost already. Evero didn't want to be the interim in Denver and didn't hear. I don't think it's a "situation" thing but more that he just doesn't want to complicate his life. He has made a name for himself as a DC and interim tag may impact him. I think Johnson will strongly consider. And although we hate Tepper, I don't know that most coaches will view him in the same light that we do as fans.

I disagree with anybody thinking that Carolina is going to struggle having candidates interview. It's the NFL. These guys are competitive and think they can turn it around. I think it actually speaks to growth that Tepper swallowed his ego and admitted he made a bad hire. Tepper needs to fire Fitterer too and bring in a tandem that are aligned. But Johnson is who I want us to spend every penny we can on. Would love Evero with him but I think that's a pipe dream.

He declined to interview last season because he wanted another year under his belt and saw the special season Detroit was poised to have. He is the type of coach we need. Young, exciting, and pushing cutting edge plays that are required in today's NFL. I wanted Steichen last year. Can't settle for a "safe choice" like Reich.

Frank Reich Fired as Panthers HC - Official

Evero said no in Denver too. He must think the interim tag may hurt his actual HC candidacy. Or wants to only focus on defense. -
Horn, CJ Henderson, Haynes, Hayden Hurst OUT for Sunday

Fields sucks. It wouldn't have helped us at all. -
Jonathan Jones piece this morning on the latest in Carolina

That's exactly what they have done so far. -
Don't get it twisted; we are on the same side with him. He's been a bum. I just haven't bothered to change the avatar. I was actually excited for him in 2018.

Like I said, keep posting dumb poo, it will keep getting poo'd. Just saying.

Did you guys really turn a thread about the OL being in the incorrect scheme into another "blame Bryce thread". Get a fuging grip.

He's in a tough spot. If he fires everybody after 1 season, he is seen as inpatient and meddling. He will be roasted. If he keeps Reich / Fitterer after a disaster of a season then he is seen as an idiot who can't read the writing on the wall. If he only fires Fitterer, he is seen as stupid because it should be a full reset where the GM can pick his new coach. He has done all this to himself so no excuses. Just saying, there isn't really a right choice at this point.

Ok. Dalton is a better player right now, I have no issues with that. Bryce also his problems. No issue saying that. I'm just sick of there not being a real discussion about the team/personnel/etc. The other poo makes a huge difference. A QB cannot succeed here currently. Don't care who it is. I poo all the ignorance. So like I said, this chart is nice. CJ's offense has some real talent at getting the ball deep and he takes advantage. Bryce's offense has nothing and he isn't helping them either. It's easy to cherry pick.

It's David Carr syndrome. He is being hit repeatedly and has no faith in his line. His internal clock is sped up, he is rushing throws in anticipation of being hit. He was pressured on ~47% of dropbacks on Sunday. That's crazy. He has a of personal blame here but I put most of this on the Reich, Brown , and the OL. We hardly utilize play action or roll the pocket to get him on the move. He just has to stay in the pocket and eat hit after hit. Of course it will screw up his mechanics. It needs to be fixed before he becomes permanently broken.

I poo your posts a lot but this is so true.

YES! This was the correct way. Steichen / Ben Johnson. Obviously Ben Johnson spurning our advances might have changed our strategy. I don't think Wilks or Reich are the right man for a team that's building with a young QB in today's NFL. Wilks is a good DC though. He is not the problem in SF but he wouldn't be a savior here as HC.

To be fair, Ridder is the worst QB we are going to face all season.
