  1. I'd take Tet if he fell to 8 depending on what blue chip defenders are left. I really wish we had seen more from XL so we wouldn't feel concerned about WR room but he completely disappeared.
  2. Yes, that same defense. They aren't a great defense but they are middle of the road with multiple stars in the secondary and a star pass rusher. OL and Bryce played great; that why there was not one hit, hurry, or pressure. Glad I could answer that question for you.
  3. Except Penix has top tier skill position talent, the kick that was missed was a 57 yarder, and the Atlanta defense is 10X better than Carolina's. He's still a baller but those team similarities are not the same.
  4. Their scheme is remarkably similar. 3-4 but mostly play out of the 3-3-5. Terrible against the run. Soft zone.
  5. 1 game. On a roster with prime Adrian Peterson, Stefon Diggs, and Thielen. lol. Only 1 other game the rest of that season did he have more than 1 TD. They aren't the same player at all.
  6. Hunt didn't even play in this game. But a valid point.
  7. Yes, I can get behind that. Everybody within the organization needs to allow some patience and allow players/coaches to develop. I would've preferred to replace him for Salah but I will support Dave in his decision.
  8. He hand picked Woods and Fuller. Both suck. But yes, safety room needs major attention. I'm honestly not sure where we are the worst at S, DE, or LB. All 3 are huge holes.
  9. I know that he can still coordinate a top tier defense but man. Just letting him get "his guys" doesn't work. Fuller and Woods have been two of the worst on the defense. Jewell is solid but a liability in the pass game.
  10. Maybe. But he didn't beat around the bush. He literally stated 2x "Evero will be our defensive coordinator next season"
  11. I agree. The 3-4 / 3-3-5 just doesn't work for us and our personnel. Maybe ( I hope!! ) they take a big step forward with another year of defensive personnel additions.
  12. Per Canales in presser. Very definitive. I'm shocked. Position coach changes are on the table.
  13. Woods is one of the worst culprits on this team. A'Shawn and Jewell are both starters on most squads. So we are at 4/11. And one of them has been on IR since week 1. It's a horrible defensive roster. But Evero's scheme is hot garbage this year and he needs to be allowed the opportunity to succeed elsewhere.
  14. Not an awful comparison. But McMillan is going top 10; no question. Even with a slowish 40time.
  15. Correction: Our defense is about make Bijan look like prime Barry Sanders.
  16. That's fair. But as of now, it is what is is. It's the environment that he is operating in and doing so successfully. I think he's shown he has potential to be the guy. Not that he is yet. But he's still 23 years old. Lots of room for growth. I like where he is headed. And another poster earlier nailed this: "Bryce has displayed immeasurable mental toughness to come back from his career start to this point". He ain't wrong. He was the laughing stock of the NFL 2 months ago.
  17. Passing is down across the league. The Seahawks who lead the league in passing yardage are throwing ~270YPG. Josh Allen who is the likely MVP is throwing for ~230YPG. Stroud - ~245YPG. Your argument isn't strong even if you just look at YPG, which is foolish way to evaluate QB play. (Kirk cousins.......) TDs, sure. Bryce and the Panthers need to score more on their redzone possessions. Currently his most glaring weakness, even in his resurgence. If you have watched the last several Panthers games and don't even think he is a "good" QB, you are lying to yourself. He needs to continue this play to show it wasn't a flash in the pan but his play during the last several weeks has been GOOD at a minimum.
  18. I gave him context and he ignored it. It is what it is. They are just picking and choosing random stuff to nitpick.
  19. Exactly what I think. He is Mike Evans. Or a more athletic Drake London. 6'5, 215, 4.5 40. Physical hands catcher. Perfect X receiver.
  20. Hurts is struggling big time. And they are 10-2. Clearly the coaches aren't even trusting Hurts to throw based on play calling and the way he is reading the field. That's the most talented team in the NFL.
  21. Context: 3 of those 6 are against Denver, KC, and Philly. All top 5 defenses. Dalton looked great in one game. Bryce is not a franchise QB at the moment. But he looks like he COULD be one based on the way he is playing. And there is nothing baffling about being excited by that. (*and this isn't even getting into the countless drops we've had*)
  22. Obviously, I want to win. But there is a big part that doesn't want to miss out on Tet. He isn't at the level of Chase but the guy is worth a top 10 pick and would be a game changer. Mike Evans type player
  23. It's still BPA. My preference: Tet McMillan, WR Arizona Abdul Carter, EDGE Penn St Travis Hunter, CB/WR Colorado Will Johnson, CB Michigan MyKel Williams, EDGE Georgia
  24. YES! That's it. He deserved every bit of his criticism early even if some was due to poor coaching, poor roster, etc etc. He wasn't doing his part. Well now, he is a completely different player and he deserves the praise he is getting. I think that handful of people still arguing against the growth Bryce has shown are : A: Trolls B: Would rather their original takes be right than the Panthers be good C : Don't actually watch the games and just box score post. He has played his ass off multiple weeks in a row and against very good teams, including this past week against the best defense in the NFL. Can it and will it continue? I dunno but it gives us hope for the future.
