  1. Sign of the times. This is shocking? Dudes in the seventies smoked cigarettes on the sidelines and definitely drank before after and during games. I mean, doctors used to smoke cigarettes while consulting with patients in the fuggin hospital back then.
  2. In the large scheme of things would not be surprised in the NCAA tournament is canceled but...this would be amazingly brutal for Gonzaga. 2 years running they have been stellar with no chance to win a champ. Damn.
  3. Yeah, we are going to have to closer to the draft and see what happens with Watson and to a lesser degree Russell but I am pretty confident QBs will definitely go 1-4. Check back later. Right now...I am definitely sure Trevor, Wilson and Lance go in the top 4. Fields not completely sure yet but his upside tells me yes.
  4. Gotta admit he looked stellar in this workout. If he applies to the craft the talent is there.
  5. If he would accept a cheaper deal I would do this to be honest. He is only decent but we can use decent here.
  6. Yeah I am about 95% sure QBs are going 1-4
  7. They will be at all these QB pro days Fargo?
  8. Culley said: We are very committed to Deshaun as our quarterback," Culley said. "He is our quarterback. He's the only guy we got under contract at this time, right now." Deshaun Watson is a Houston Texan. And we're committed to him." Culley said "as of right now, there is no contingency plan" if Watson chooses to sit out rather than play for Houston. Translation: “ We want to trade Deshaun Watson”
  9. Love these types of breakdowns from scouts. Thanks for posting.
  10. Nice job here. Pretty much agree completely.
  11. Cool...I am really loving the idea of getting a QB with upside that doesn’t cost us multiple picks. Its pretty much an algorithm atp.
  12. Just laying it out there...Mitch is a better QB than anyone not named Trevor in the draft. It is tiring people talking up these QBs that have proven nothing. Trevor and Fields have...and maybe Jones. Mitch is as good as any of them.
  13. Yes, and he is better than any QB not named Watson as an option IMO. He is a much better option than these draft unknowns.
  14. Young, big arm, athleticism and he should come cheap...we still build the team with our draft picks and he doesn’t keep us from looking for our franchise QB later. I think he makes a lot of sense
  15. Been thinking about this as a possible option. Before you dismiss this completely a few points... How much better are the guys after Trevor? Where would he he picked in this draft? We don’t give up much to sign him...including draft picks He was actually winning games late last season His arm and athleticism fits our offense Thoughts? Hate?
  16. Both are worth every penny. Not sure you see the the dearth of QBs coming from college these days. Not named Trevor both these guys are better and proven better.
  17. Lets consider this...a TE/WR hybrid is one of the best players available. Several guys that didn’t play last season are top 10 players. There are going to be an amazing amount of busts in this draft class.
  18. Will add this...this draft coming up is the weakest draft outside of round 1 in memory. Trading this years picks to move up would be smart IMO. Honestly...outside of the top 20 picks there is a big drop in talent. Actually, its the weakest draft in memory period.
  19. The 2011 draft was weak outside of the first round. This is known. He was filling holes on the roster so that draft is a terrible example. Of course he missed otherwise, every GM does. Hurney doesn't know QBs mostly so I agree there. One of the reasons he was let go IMO. Picking Cam #1 gets you very little love as he was the clear pick there for a team starved for one. We could look at any GMs drafts and nitpick. His hit rate is still impressive. That doesn’t make him some genius but he did a really solid job in that regard. Overall, Gettleman did well here too. Look at most of the other team drafts out there and you will realize GMs miss consistently, especially after round 1.
  20. Yeah, you are wrong. I would suggest you don't get too involved with this argument without twitter and your “sources”. BTW...the first round matters...a lot.
  21. Yes he has...drafted well. As a GM he failed overall but he has hit at a good rate drafting. This is fact.
