Let's say you are Deshaun Watson, bias aside, where do you want to go?

You are probably right, I was thinking they (Texans) prefer to pick one at 3 but maybe not. -

If he goes to Miami I am seriously making a run at Tua. If we can get him for a few non-day 1 picks I think that is a steal. I realize many question his season last year but I think he can be awesome given some time. Tua IMO has just as much upside as anyone in the draft outside of Trevor. -

Miami to be honest. Up and coming team with lots of draft picks in their pocket. -
Agreed. I read up on him and he has an impressive resume and apparently he and Watson know each other as well. This could work out well for them. Our President is 78 so I guess age is just a number anyway.

65? Wow

I don't see anything about Mac Jones that says starting QB in the NFL. I would rather have Trask to be honest.

Trading for Stafford does not keep us from drafting a successor in later drafts. He would be a good get, however I personally think he will go elsewhere, like the Colts and likely be more expensive than people think draft capital wise.

Watson is absolutely worth 3 first rounders. Consider this...the Browns have been looking for a top QB literally forever. You may think Mayfield is them finding one but the jury is out if he is that guy. Watson is that and building a team when you have your QB is much simpler IMO. Watson should be our top target, period. How many players the caliber of Watson have ever been available at his age? Cant think of many. Maybe Marshall Faulk? If he ends up leaving Houston someone has committed robbery.

Not much of a gap between Lance and Newman to me. Similar players with similar question marks.

If the Panthers land Stafford, it is win now, not rebuild

Playoffs or bust IMO. Adding back a healthy CMC with Stafford and the rest of our draft picks. With no Brees and possibly no Brady? Definite division title dreams. -
Stafford, stay far away from Lance

Starting 5 should be Lamelo, Rozier, Hayward, Bridges and whoever at center...probably PJ but the right guy ain't here yet.

NO TO WATSON, NO TO STAFFORD.... YOU WIN THROUGH THE DRAFT

By Peyton Manning I meant his reputation -

Peyton Manning beating our asses in the Super Bowl does kinda undermine this idea. However, OP has a solid argument -
Bama had the most Pro Bowlers in 2020 (7)

At least our new GM is an "evaluator" that doesn't sit on total bust draft picks to save his ego

Honestly getting Stafford for #8 with Detroit taking back Teddy is a good move. Doesn't keep us from getting a QB of the future next year either. People are not seeing how risky these QBs are after Lawrence. Going up to #2 for Wilson would be expensive as hell for us and guarantees us nothing. He could totally bomb. No one knows. Plus his injury history on the shoulder?

QBs could go even higher than expected in the draft

Most everyone is thinking at least Lance is there for us but he could seriously end up going before Fields. 4 QBs taken 1-4 is absolutely possible. -

Fair enough. I am sure they will vet these guys as much as possible so if they choose Lance I’m cool with it.
