Training Camp Tweets - Tuesday August 11

anything noteworthy on oher today? -
remember when cam got slammed for "charging for autographs" in 2012 i think it was because he was signing at an event with a $200 entry fee or something then it turned out that like aaron rodgers, eli manning, The Golden Calf of Bristol, and a shitload of other players had been doing the exact same thing for years in some cases

DAY 6 - Training Camp Tweets (Aug 6)

did amini play a bit of tackle in college or am i misremembering that? it'd be hilarious if he was better at that position than guard -
Oher Struggling Early in Camp

Is there someone who really thinks that oher got a performance based demotion in favor of Nate Chandler today? It's training camp-the coaching staff plays around with tons of different personnel combinations. -

if you don't want to provide your own suggestions then people are 100% justified for giving you poo because what you're doing essentially amounts to aimless bitching. how thought provoking and captivating. -

3 out of 5 OL positions have been upgraded between the 2014 draft and remmers being brought in. i mean damn we got two new guards who are quality starters in the draft/UDFA and a solid if unspectacular right tackle off the scrap heap midseason. you can't do that without serious scouting and film chops -

Having a badass left guard next to him allowed bell to have a borderline decent game or two late in the season. So long as amini silatolu isn't out there I imagine the left side will be at least a little better. Oher doesn't even have to be good to improve our LT position. -
Michael Oher vs Frank Alexander
The NFL Shield At Midfield replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
this will look better in retrospect after frank's all pro campaign this season -
if this was goodfellas stephen hill would be stacks edwards
-
is anybody really slamming him for smoking or is it just the fact that he was driving around with paraphernalia when he's essentially subject to a search at any time if a cop feels like pulling him over this is something that would have been pretty easy to avoid
-
nooooooo he could run in a straight line so fast

yeah that's exactly what i was thinking when i read that post too. isn't that exactly what we're all hoping is going to happen with michael oher? tampa bay was a black hole last season and there's no telling what a change of scenery could do for him. he's at least shown something before if only for one season. plus he'd come cheap and with minimal risk.

That analysis is fuging awesome man. Thank you for this. Without you stating this, I honestly believe we would be all left in the dark.

yeah i always thought of that when people would bring in the "he just wins games" and "he led his team to the playoffs" rhetoric about guys like wilson and andy dalton. this was back before the red rifle had transformed into something of a meme as the most average quarterback in the league of course. let's drop russell wilson on the jaguars, titans, raiders, or some other hopeless team with a lot of problems and watch them march to the playoffs i suppose. he's a cog in a machine and while he certainly plays his role very well i doubt he's someone who can be expected to shoulder an offense by himself like cam newton and andrew luck were asked to do.

that's a career ruiner russell wilson's last play of the 2014/2015 season: russell wilson now: he'll be skipping practice and film sessions to catch jimmy buffett cover bands any day now
