  1. Yeah I went through a lifechanging event in 2015 that made me re-contexualize football. It wasn't a life or death matter as in the OP, but it was one of those crossroads moments when you have to make a really serious, life-altering decision and question what you prioritize in life. I still like chopping it up here on Sundays and watching the Panthers but the emotional labor is like maybe 10% of what it used to be. tbh I'm glad things are that way now.
  2. Fun fact: I had Julio Jones on my fantasy team before that game, but benched him like five minutes before kickoff because I had a gut feeling that Bene was going to shut him down lol
  3. Hitting a dude in stride off-balance from 40ish yards out, nice
  4. Complete with the Elway-copter into the end zone
  5. TCU's determination to keep Michigan in this game is Panthers-esque
  6. Seems like this game is going to turn into a track meet in the 4th
  7. Jim Harbaugh like "can I just go to the NFL now"
  8. Yeah unless he crashes his car into an orphanage or something he's gone.
  9. Regardless of whether he ends up here, I can't wait to watch Young in the NFL. He looks like he can make throws into NFL type windows out there.
  10. He's on the shorter side but there's this guile about him that puts Young over the top imo. His accuracy and ability to choose passing lanes reminds me of Drew Brees.
  11. You can't teach that poo, that's perfect ball placement
  12. Can't fault them too much for trying to make something happen
  13. He looked like he caught himself before he took it a beat too far and got out of Dodge
  14. Howard has played well but Bryce Young is an elite prospect. Ball placement, arm strength, decision making, etc. he's going first overall.
  15. Howard did a great job working the pocket and not panicking on that conversion.
  16. Panthers come out flat as is tradition in important games. Our backup DBs get sonned by Brady until we wake up in the second half only to come up just short. 31-24 Bucs.
  17. iirc it was a win and in, the Saints needed help to grab a wild card spot and ultimately they didn't get in either.
  18. Yeah, my feeling is that flags for hitting the quarterback are an inevitability in the modern NFL, so you best make it count. Brady hates pressure up the gut, so if Derrick Brown is going to show out this is the game to do it.
  19. Yuck, bet that feels great combined with the record low temps
  20. Who's gonna freeze their ass off in freakishly cold weather in Shreveport watching a pair of 6-6 and 7-5 G5 teams? It's a 3 hour drive if you're a ULL fan.
  21. I'm telling you guys, it's Jimmy Clausen face If a quarterback's face looks like an average person's but squeezed from the top and bottom, run:
